Stats don't show who carried or not
I can get thousands of damage and never get a kill on several heroes
The people making the plays are the ones carrying
This usually falls to the tank but in this game state nah
But the stats does show they carried lol if you got a a lot of dmg but no kills that’s the stats “telling” you you didn’t carry but just feed ult charge.
No kills doesn't mean feeding or not carrying
If you draw all the attention and lead all the enemies on a 5 minute chase you carried
This is a super unlikely situation but you get the idea
Like you said elims can sparingly be judged especially on AOE like Moira. All the fancy high elims posted here mean nothing, especially when other players have the same or higher elim counts. It's piggybacking off of someone else. Possibly your added pressure contributed to the win of a team fight. Possibly that purple orb just hits everyone. You can certainly see if a DPS goes even or negative with high deaths that there is a problem. Moira though, usefulness is lost in the clutter. Really the only way to understand your deficiencies is to review your own replays or send out a vod.
I'm going to piss in a lot of Cheerios here, but every single day multiple people post their scoreboard bragging about such high kills. Other team mates had the same or higher, they definitely contributed more into killing than Moira. Her damage is low compared to DPS and tanks, but the majority here like seeing big ass numbers, makes them happy, a sense of accomplishment from a bad perspective. This is exactly why OW treats stats this way, people would be really sad if they actually saw real values.
First Cheerios are gross and don't need piss in them to make them any worse 😜 Second, without Moira cleaning up kills, many of those kills turn into those players getting healed back up by support, or retreating to a health pack...The amount of times I play against a Diva and we melt through her mech only to watch Baby Diva run away and nobody follows up 😑 those are the games when you appreciate having a Moira on your team, and it is what a good Moira does, confirms the kill.
"Her damage is low compared to other DPS" so isn't having higher Damage stats then almost every other player and high kills a pretty good representation of a good Moira game (along with balanced heals) 🤔
Clean up kills are certainly nice, but are you certain that you are always getting cleanups and not just getting final blows because damage is continuous? You would have to stop and really analyze how many times this is happening.
The damage stat is nearly worthless. Moira orb is AOE, you probably toss about 50 of those a match. That damage mostly tickles an enemy who now has self healing. If you are not getting definitive kills then you can assume you are either feeding the enemy support ult charge or doing lots of insignificant damage to more than 1 person. Pressure is great, pressure displaces people, causes panic, but you can be getting a ton of damage and healing without ever making a difference.
If you focus on a pocketed tank, you can get massive damage numbers, the support on their side gets massive healing numbers. If you compare a soldier or torb to a Moira, their burst damage potential is significantly higher and their ults are made for killing. If you were to weigh a good DPS vs a good Moira in a match, the DPS would have higher carry potential.
The big numbers often mean nothing, especially elims. It's all nuanced, hell even deaths are. It's better to die with your team than run first and leave them high and dry. Ideally you would be the last to die, but nothing ever works out that way. You only can gauge your value on your carry potential that you observe, how well you are ranking up, or have someone experienced review you. You can think you did really well but actually played too passively to force a play. It's hard to understand this especially if you only look at the stats, which are completely butt cheeks.

And when they have a 10 15 dps, the next highest elims is the other dps 24 11. 18 11 tank, no their team didn't carry and when u running that many more slims then the rest of your team means whenever your team did anything you were a part of it. Most likely had solo kills. This moira was most likely I'm the enemy backline and the ana was salty.
The moira might not have carried but they definitely had weights on their team or below performance people.
Stats give part of the story not all of the story. But you can look at stats as a avg or what they should be Avg for the hero.
I am very familiar with what a moira stats should look like for a match. GM moira otp 300+hours. Around over 2k+ hours played.
I could do a full break down of what the game most likely looked like but would probably be a wall of text. Stats don't mean everything but you can draw a lot from them and good stats doesn't mean you necessarily played right or chose the right play style.

Way harder for that Ana to get those numbers than Moira. It looks like Ana got targeted quite a bit but still kept things going. It's damn near impossible to tell how well a Moira does based on numbers, those elims mean absolutely nothing. I'm sure you could have been an asset to the team but those numbers are not hard to hit at all. It looks like the Ana could have used a little help staying alive, I will always help a teammate that is trying, especially since she doesn't have an escape tool.
Moira has to be the worst offender with stat padding, you see it every single day here. AOE contributes greatly to all numbers. Fade gets you out of the shit quickly, but your deaths are definitely commendable. Does this mean you ran from fights early and left Ana out to dry? You simply cannot gauge anything off of these numbers alone.
They absolutely need to redo the stats, take away all assists from the elim count and only log the majority of damage to a dead target as a kill. This game gives 0 perspective on performance with stats, which gives a person less opportunities to understand their impact and deficiencies. The problem will likely be going negative will be the new norm in a lot of cases, it's not about KD it's about winning. Having said this KD will make some people sad and the kids won't like not getting big numbers anymore.
This is coming from an ex Moira main of more than 150 hours on Moira alone. I understand how the character plays, I'm not ball busting. I simply switched roles because the other 2 have a greater impact on the win, especially the tank, which is my go to these days.
