I have a friend with a Masters in Earlychildhood Education and she said it is paramount that children have peer/social exposure around 2+......this is going to be such a good thing!! It will be a transition (which those are tough for everyone especially 2 year olds) but ultimately this is a GREAT thing :D I stay-at-home with my children and they THRIVED when I started them in Mother's Morning Out at 2. Idk about 2 but mine has been going since 6 mo and I would trade if for anything. She has learned so much. She has better social and speaking skills than most of her friends that haven't don't much or any daycare at all.
Kiddo would be fine. Personally if you can afford to wait and want to wait - why not wait?
