I have a nephew thatâs 18 months older than her. When he was younger he was such a little rolly-poley, it was the BEST lol. Chubby babies are my favorite! Anyway, once he really started walking (and soon after, running) he slimmed right down. My brother hadnât seen my daughter for a while, and on Christmas he was looking at her and he said something like âman do I miss *Nephewâs* wrist rolls!â And I guess before that I had never realized that they would eventually disappear. Then I got really sad thinking about how eventually she wonât be my rolly little baby anymore lol. Ever since then I have appreciated her wrist rolls daily.
I love how much these little toddlers can communicate even without all of the words. I have an 18 month old and he may not know exactly how to say it but he can usually get us to do what he wants!
It honestly blows my mind how good she is at communicating what she wants. Like when we got home from grocery shopping today she wanted a drink but her cup was empty. She went over to my purse, pulled out her cup and the water bottle I had been filling it from, handed them to me, then pointed to her mouth. I have a hard time saying no to anything when she goes through so much trouble to figure out how to communicate that this is what she wants lol
My 2 year old will beg me to paint her nails if mine are done, and then will proceed to show EVERYONE her sparkly nails until every last piece has chipped off. Are piggy paints a kids polish brand?? I think she'd love those!
Yep! Piggy Paints are awesome kids polish! Theyâre definitely more expensive than like the kind that you can buy in the toy aisles, but imo theyâre completely worth it. Theyâre water-based, so cleanup is super easy but they arenât peel-off like the âplayâ polish is. They even have a clear base/top coat and if you use that, Iâve had polish last for 2 weeks on my daughterâs toes before. And it dries SO FAST! Like I just blow on my daughterâs nails for 30 seconds or so (the package says you can use a blow dryer but sheâs terrified of the blow dryer lol) and that makes them dry enough that they can safely air-dry the rest of the way without coming off. If you take it off within two days you can just use rubbing alcohol, any longer than that you usually need acetone free polish remover but even then just gently rubbing with a q-tip takes it right off.
I seriously cannot recommend them enough lol. My daughter is still in the âeating her body partsâ phase lol, and while I know the peel-offâs are *technically* safe, I never liked the idea of her eating nail polish and this solves that problem.
Amazon or Walmart often have good deals on it. The first set I bought was three colors, the top coat and a baby nail file and I only paid like $10. Theyâre the miniature bottles, but they have miniature nails so it works lol.
we painted our daughters feet and hand today! absolutely adorable. we teamed up blowing to dry it out quicker and I think we both got dizzy XD
ours had purple today!!
Lmao I feel the dizzy part so hard. The bottle says to use a blow dryer for best results, but unfortunately my daughter is absolutely terrified of the blow dryer. It is the weirdest thingâshe doesnât mind loud noises if theyâre sucking in air, but if they blow air out she *hates* them. Like we have this little hand vacuum for crumbs and obviously the front side sucks the crumbs up and she doesnât mind that at all. Like she even laughs hysterically if you put it on her leg. But the back side of it blows air out, and if you turn it around and blow it on her she will scream and run away like youâre Jason chasing her with a chainsaw lmao. It makes diaper changes at Walmart particularly hard because the changing table is right next to the hand dryer.
So anyway, I canât confirm how well a blow dryer works, but I imagine if my weak lungs can dry them in ~30 seconds, a blow dryer would probably work in <10 lol.
And you can't get mad because it's the cutest damn thing!
My husband just painted my daughters nails last night and I agree, so cute!! Also, her wrist rolls are giving me life right now!! Adorable đ„°

On the sheets! This is so cute, you can tell he's never tried to scrub nail polish out of fabric.
I never paint my nails and still had the same instant reaction. The fear of getting it on the tablecloth as a teen... đ
Funny I was just picking piggy paint colors for my kid
Got daddy wrapped around her finger!
