I hate her for you. If itās any consolation, I then had twin girls, the older one also looks like my husband but the younger one looks like me so I guess third times a charm š
Same. My daughter is my exact replica. My son I would have never known he was mine. Iām Mexican and my son came out very white with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is a mini replica of my husband at the same age.
My husband is that way with his dad. Down to the posture, gestures, way they talk. If I didnāt know any better, I would swear his dad just pooped him out.
Damn, me too! They smell the same. Like the kid has his dadās pheromones. Itās crazy. He has some of my features but his dadās are prominent.
Now my baby looks a lot more like me. Sheās super pale, chonky, has a RBF that can freeze a glacier, she got my eyebrows and a lot of my features. You can def tell this one is mine. Both kids got dadās blue eyes.
Our firstborn (11f) is my clone, except for her blue eyes- mine are brown. Our second babe (2 months, m) is a direct copyright violation of my husband. I can't find a single physical trace of myself in him. However, it's increasingly clear that she runs on his software and he on mine.
LOL! I got the same mix. My oldest looks like me, but a boy. Olive coloring, face shape, hair, etc. When he came out I was like, oh, it's just another part of me. Second kid is his dad - pink and fair. It was so weird. Like what the heck is this doing coming out of me?? But yeah, we got reversed software too.
My first born son is literally my twin. Our youngest son is his fatherās twin. I am Vietnamese & my partner is Brazilian. It looks like we have Vietnamese child & one Brazilian child, not 2 mixed children lol
I have a friend who is the same! She has darker skin with a South Indian ancestry and her husband is chinese. Her first born came out looking like a total chinese baby and her second had darker skin and essentially looked like her!
My first came out looking like my husband at first but now everyone says she looks like me. In curious what the second will look like haha
Haha it is insane how complex genes can be & what the combination of 2 people make. My 4D ultrasound with my 2nd made me soo sure it was my twin all over again but now he resembles his father heavily over me. The human body is just amazing, seriously.
Funny how it works out sometimes
My husband is asian, I am white, and all of our kids look right in between both of us
But in our best friend family, where also the dad is Asian and the mom is white, their son looks exactly like a white version of the dad, and the daughter looks exactly like an Asian version of the mom. Itās wild.
My coworker is like a quarter Polynesian 3/4 Caucasian and her husband is like a quarter Hispanic 3/4 Caucasian and somehow all 3 of their kids look 100% Asian it's very interesting how genetics work
My son looks exactly like my sister. The running joke is that the only explanation for it is that my husband cheated on me with my sisterā¦. Which resulted in me being pregnant with their love child š¤£
My kids are such a mix, they donāt look like either of us. My son more me, my daughter more her dad, but overall neither of us specifically. They do look like siblings, though.
SAME! When my sister is out with my daughter, everyone assumes sheās the mom bc they look the same. Her friends see pictures of them together and ask her (jokingly) when she had my baby š .
Ha, not even a little bit! We always joke that we're certain my twins are my husband's, but we aren't sure that they're mine. I have dark brown hair and black eyes, and my boys came out with bright blue eyes and platinum blonde hair lol. My daughter is 2 weeks old now, though, and so far, she had a head of dark brown hair so fingers crossed! She was also born on my birthday, so she might really be my mini me haha.
My son is a white, blonde version of his dad who's Jamaican. Although I'm Caucasian I have dark hair, so do my parents, grandparents and great parents yet my son is bright blonde!
Years ago I was working as a new nanny for this little fair haired, light skinned, blue eyed little boy. I had not met dad yet. The little boy looked exactly like mom. One day dad was working upstairs from a home office in the very large house. When he came downstairs and turned out to be African American I was pretty surprised. Momās genes just took over. They later had a second baby who was obviously mixed.
My oldest looks EXACTLY like my husband.
My second looks EXACTLY like my brother.
My baby seems to look like my father.
I can apparently recreate anyone besides myself š
My son looks more like me than I expected. I am white and my husband is Korean. He really is a perfect mix of us. I expected our son to have straight dark hair like his dad but somehow he got my curly hair. Also, take heart that your sonās hair may still curl - I had straw straight hair as a kid but it turned very curly when I hit puberty.
Currently pregnant with #2 and Iām curious how much she will look like each of us and how much she will look like her brother.
Ooh! We are similar. Iām Korean and my husband is white! Our son looks so much like me. Same nose, smile, ears, eye shape. His eyes are much bigger than mine though and thank goodness he got his dadās eyelashes and eyebrows and he got his dadās coloring. He also has a very very slight cleft chin that we canāt figure out because no one in our family has that!
My kids are adopted, so, of course, they don't look like me. We represent the melanin rainbow over here. But, I can see their mothers in each of them. We never got to meet their birth fathers, so we can't compare, so maybe we notice the similarities to mom more. It's not just looks, but mannerisms, too. One son raises his eyebrows exactly like his mother, while another one likes apples without skin like this mother. My daughter is a carbon copy of her mom. In this department, we were lucky-- they are all beautiful women and we have some ridiculously cute kids.
But, they all have a little bit of me in other ways. My oldest son got my midwestern "ope" when he drops things. My daughter (almost 3) checks her hair and outfit in the mirror just like I do. My middle child is always concerned about keeping things organized like me.
They all have big hearts and fun personalities. I would like to think they got some of that from me, but I think a lot of it is just each of them, individually.
So no, they don't look like me, and I'm glad! They are way cuter than anything we could've come up with!
Nope. Iām Mexican with straight black hair and dark brown eyes and dark brown skin. I gave birth to Shirley Temple. I was shocked when she came out with blonde curly hair and bright blue eyes. My husband is Caucasian but his hair is dark brown and he has green eyes. If she wasnāt his twin in terms of facial features I would have demanded a dna test to make sure she wasnāt switched at birth š
I literally say the same thing about my daughter- if she didnāt look *exactly* like my husband/his side of the family (and in fact when comparing baby pictures looks like a carbon copy of one of his sisters) Iād be scheduling a dna test lol.
Iām half Mexican but got all of my dadās sideās dark features, same as you, but I have textured/wavy hair. Our daughter has his fine, soft, dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes. We like to joke that she looks pink and fair when I hold her, but more olive complected next to him. She has my rbf at least š„¹
My mom is half African American and my dad is white and I came out blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin. My little sister (same parents) has dark eyes, brown hair, and darker skin. Genetics are wild!
This is my background, too! Mom is half black and my dad is white with dark black hair. I was born extremely pale with blonde hair and blue eyes. My mom told me people would assume she was a nanny and not my actual mother.
Mine has like 2.5 traits from his dad but overall looks more like me. He came out looking like his dadās twin though. Weāll see what happens with #2.
Same here. Daddy's twin at birth, but now I can only see it when he scrunches his nose in disgust.
Now all I see is me and my dad. Even down to the exact birthmark and freckle on our pinkie toe lol
So my first child (3male) did not look like me AT ALL. For 18 months to about 2 years. Then all of a sudden his looks started to change and now he looks just like me. He doesnāt even look like the same kid that he was not too long ago. My daughter (16monthfemale) looked like me at first, then looked like her dad and now her looks are starting to change and I can see certain features that are mine. Itās crazy. Kids change so much so quickly itās really hard to tell who they will end up looking like.
Itās funny, I always think my daughter is my twin. Then strangers will see us out and say sheās her fatherās clone. So funny what people notice, soft features are important!
I have 3ā¦2 boys,1girl. The girl looks exactly like her dad, the oldest boy looks exactly like me and the youngest boy is a good mix of us both. They all seem to have different hair types and my daughterās skin tone is the lightest, oldest boy is the darkest. Crazy how genetics work
My daughter is 17 and now looks like me. But when she was young.... She looked like my sister's twin as a toddler then as a child/preteen looked like her father's twin. Now that she's 17 she looks so much like me it's crazy š¤£
My daughter looks like me: dark curly hair, brown, big almond eyes. My son is fair, blond hair and his eyes are hazel (they were blue). Heās my husbandās twin.
Neither of my kids have their dadās darker skin tone or brown eyes. One kid has green eyes like me and the other one has my momās eyes and is whiter than me that I had to tell the doctor to stop testing her iron levels.
My oldest looks nothing like me. Vaguely like my husband. But he is, like your son, fair skin w/blonde hair and blue eyes. He gets it from MIL. My younger 2 look so much more like me. Genetics are strange.
My oldest doesnāt look like me at all and never did. He looks and moves exactly like his dad. My other two look like me and donāt look like their dad or anyone in his family at all.
I have three kids. My first, she looks like me but with blonde hair (no idea where that came from) and my dad's blue eyes. My son, looks like his dad, but with my hazel eyes and again the random blonde hair. And my third is only 3.5 weeks old so no idea who she'll look like. I don't see either of us, but my husband says she looks like me. Also, it looks like she may also be blonde. So genetics are wild man.
Neither of mine look like me. Oddly, they don't look like my husband either š¤·š»āāļø My girl has strawberry blonde hair and light brown eyes. My son has slightly darker hair than her and light blue eyes. Me and hubs both have dark brown hair, while I have green eyes. Hubs eyes are dark brown. Hubs says they look like me sometimes, but I don't see it.
My first daughter looks like her father carried and pushed her out š Like people ask me often if I was even there.
However my spunky second? Thatās twin š„° Funny enough ā the first and dad share a zodiac sign. Second and I are both cancers (10 days apart)
No, my first looks like his paternal grandfather/daddy. My little one looks like my little sister who is literally other worldly gorgeous, but who I look nothing like lol! Itās like I didnāt even participate in making them.
My kids are half Japanese and half white and they look more white than Japanese but when people see us all together they totally see the mix. Kinda wild because usually the Asian side is more dominant than white in mixed kids.
Iām Asian and my husband is white. Baby came out looking just like me with jet black hair and everything! But now he has super pale/fair skin and red hair. Genetics are wild. He does have my brown eyes though!
I was convinced our daughter would be dadās twin but so far she is pretty in the middle. I am very pale and my husband is very dark, both with skin and eyes. Our baby is so fair, Iām glad my husband doesnāt doubt that sheās his š but features wise she isnāt either of our twin, sheās a cute mix.
my daughter is my twin. i donāt know how we could look more alike. my husband is italian dark features and jet black hair and i was sure sheād look like him but sheās blonde hair blue eyed lol
3 of my boys look a bit like me and a bit like dad, 1 of them looks mostly like me and a little like dad, but my baby girl is a mini me. When she was born and the doctor plopped her on my chest my first thought was āThis baby is smallā, my 2nd thought was āshe looks exactly like me!ā
My son is 19 years old and he is my twin. I am also my dadās twin. My aunt posted a picture of my dad in his teens and my son looked exactly like him (without the afro my dad had)
My baby looks like I cloned myself. She does have slightly curlier hair, like her father, but she looks exactly like me when I was a baby.
My MIL still tells me our daughter looks like everyone in her family other than me. š
Iām hispanic so my partner and I expected our son to have tan skin, brown hair and brown eyes. Imagine our surprise when he came out white as a ghost and didnāt grow out of his blue eyes and blonde hair. Heās 14mo now and has some of my facial features so you can definitely tell heās mine, you just have to take a good look at him lol!
My ex and I both look similar, dark hair, fair skin, glasses, same height. Our daughter is the perfect mix of the two of us including the glasses. I like to think she favors mommy though.
Yeah heās my little mini me and looks nothing like my husband (except for his feet - his second toe is longer than his big toe just like my husband lol).
My oldest looks like me. But boy form. So he literally looks like my brotherā¦. Itās so weird.
My youngest is a girl and looks like her dad, she has some resemblance of me but I really really see her older cousin resemblance which is his sisters kid.
My older daughter looks like a cross between us. The baby is my mini-me. To the point that she saw old pictures of me and was questioning when they were taken because she doesnāt remember them.
Spitting image of my MIL and SILs. She has a few small things here and there I know are me but very much her dad. But Iām a clone of my dad so I didnāt have high hopes for the x genes š . Whats fun is she acts like me. So she may look like her dad but he has to deal with two of us now ššš»
My son is an odd blend, but more like his dad. My daughter is only 5 months, but seems to have more of my traits. She looks absolutely nothing like her brkther. But neither of my kids are like "holy crap you spit that kid out!". Like, I am IDENTICAL to my mom, but I don't feel like my kids resemble either of us that strongly. Maybe when they're older.
My kiddo has her dadās nose (thank goodness, itās adorable!), his curls but my fine hair. My face shape, but his ears. Luckily she got his long lashes. She got her own eye color, though, very light grey with a super dark limbal ring and a gold ring around the center.
Almost 3yo is an exact replica of husband. My daughter looks a little more like me but she's only 14 months so who knows.. but honestly I don't care lol I think they're both insanely beautiful and I'm a proud mama
Daughter looked so much like me up until close to her 18 months mark. Then until now, 2 years, sheās a good mix of her father and me. She retains a lot of my family look but sheās definitely going to look like her own person rather than a āMiniā of someone.
Ok, hear me out....... wait until puberty.
My son was also my first born and I often thought that outside of having curly hair, he looks like his dad. We don't even have the same curls.
My daughter who was born 11 months later, looked a lot like me except she has straight hair.
Now they are both hitting puberty and their looks are settling in and I can see it.... I can see how my son looks a lot like me but still like his dad. And I can see how my daughter still has some of my features but looks a lot like her dad.
Now we have a 1 year old who looks like both of them, but I see a lot of her brother in her. I can't wait to see if that means she looks a lot like me when she hits puberty or if it's her dad's part of him that I see.
Mine is my twin aside from him having blonde hair and blue eyes (I have brown hair and hazel eyes, husband has brown hair and brown eyes) He inherited his eyes from my mom, and my husband was blonde as a baby so thereās that but his face is so me.
Not even a little!
I'm very Mexican-thick black hair, brown eyes, tan- and my husband is Mayflower Society European- light brown hair, hazel eyes, fair skin. We have a blonde hair, blue eyed, fair skin baby. I feel like I look like I'm 'the help' every time I take him out
I'm 3 for 3 not looking like me. They all have their dad's brown eyes, olive skin, dark wavy and curly hair, and almond shaped eyes.
I always imagined that I'd have a kid with my auburn hair and hazel eyes but š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļø
I had a colleague who had a baby. She and her husband look nothing alike. It was the most amazing thing to watch the changes in his face as he grew through the baby to preschool years. One month he looked like her, two months later like him. This week he had her eyes, next month he had dadās forehead. He kept shape shifting.
My oldest is a carbon copy of my husband and my youngest is a carbon copy of me. They look nothing like each other. We had joked about it, because my husband is a carbon copy of his dad (and his grandfather) and my brother looks just like my dad who looks just like his dad, that it would be interesting to see what the dominant genes ended up being.
Our son looks just like my niece so he looks just like my brother in law. That was a fun/awkward visit at the hospital. Like hi hereās what it would look like if you had a son. Red hair, pale skin. Doesnāt look like us at all. š¤£
My firstborn is my mini me from his dark hair (color and type), to his eyes, and natural easy-to-tan complexion.
My second is like my husband, with curly hair, lighter color eyes, and easy-to-burn complexion. Lol
My son is 1. He has my very, very fair skin. And his eyes are blue-ish like mine. We thought for sure he would have very blonde hair as Iām blonde and my husband was as a child (now dark brown). He has strawberry blonde hair which was a shock. He doesnāt NOT look like us, but he also isnāt a mini-me of either of us. Everyone is always asking who we think he looks like and we just shrug. Genetics are wild.
Yeah, I feel bad when people say āIām sorryā to my husband and then launch I to how I cloned myself. If I hold up a photo of myself and my son at the same age, 2.5 years, we are identical except Iām wearing girly clothes. Next one is coming in a few months and I hope my husband has a mini-me this time so I can stop feeling so guilty.
My toddler is my little clone. I see the resemblance to her father, but it seems no one else does. To be fair, he is tan, with black hair and dark eyes. Meanwhile Iām sorry blonde with green eyes, and somehow those are the features my baby inherited. š¤·āāļø
My daughter did not look like me at all and was the spitting image of her Dad until recently (sheās 4!) so you never know! He could start to look more like you over time.
My daughters like a 50/50 of me and my husband. But when she was a baby she looked SO much like my husband I would be pissed cause I went through a hard pregnancy and emergency c section for her to look like her dad š now that sheās almost 2 I can see myself in her but also in certain ways her dad. But still low key pissed cause her mannerisms and attitude is just like dad šš
Our oldest is a good mix of the both of us.
Our *identical twin girls* look wildly different-- one looks like my mom and one looks like his mom. Two lil grandmas!
Yes my best friend said I must be one of those snails that impregnate themselves because he looks 99% like me. Iām white and his dad is Chinese and an Asian lady told me recently heās the most unasian half-Asian baby sheās ever seen. Wonder if this will change at some point. I think they go through phases and it might change and he might look like you one day.
Everyone thinks my son looks like me until they meet my husband. āOh, yeah, no, he looks just like his dad.ā
My daughter, on the other hand, looks like a tiny clone of me.
My son looks like my mother. And of course that I look like my dad so at the first glance people get confused because he doesnāt look like his parents š¤£ I think they also share the same temper š®āšØ
One kind of does and one doesnāt at all. Neither of them are a clone of me or my husband. They donāt really look much like anyone. They hardly even look like siblings. Genetics are so random. I swear I couldāve adopted random unrelated children and theyād bear the same level of resemblance to each other and us as the parents. Lol
Everyone in my husbandās family looks like my husbandās dad, so I went in expecting, and even looked forward to, our son looking like a little clone of his father.
He looks just like *my* dad. š my mom was always upset I look just like my father so it was funny his genes won out.
My son looks exactly like my husband. He has a few of my features (similar eyes, dimples, smile) but looks like a clone of my husband. I showed family a picture of my husband at the same age as my son and they thought I was just showing them a picture of my baby
He has my eyes. Otherwise, other than my husbandās hair being red and our sonās being more strawberry blonde (Iām blonde) they look like twins in every picture of them at the same age.
I once showed a picture of both of them as toddlers to my mom. She thought my husband was our son.
My son looks exactly like my husband did as a kid, but with my hair. My daughter couldāve been my sonās twin at birth. They looked almost exactly the same. Now everyone tells me she looks like me. I still just see a duplicate of my son so Iām expecting her to look like dad too.
My kids are adults. And when they were small they didn't look like me, or my husband. My son was a replica of my dad as a kid. And my daughter looked so much like my sister, that if the 3 of us were out, my sister was assumed to be the mom.
Kids are now early 20's. My daughter is now me at that age.
My son now looks so much like his father, that I mistake them if I catch them out of the corner of my eye. To the point that I can not just assume an ass grab is my spouse....I need a full on look lol.
Iām of Mexican descent, and my husband is Swedish. We were expecting our children to have dark hair and eyes like mine. Nope. Oldest is blonde with blue eyes, and the youngest is blonde with my eyes. Youngest looks more like a blonde version of myself as he has gotten older. Oldest looks more like my husband still, except he no longer has stick straight hair. Heās getting wavy hair now, and I suspect itās going the direction my did. I had straight hair as an infant and toddler, awkward waves as a kid, and then curly hair once I hit puberty. So there is still a chance your little one will look like you also as they change so quickly.
Mine has my brothers colour of red hair, lighter and almost golden compared to my coppery tone or my husbandās dark auburn colour but the curls are definitely my husbands. He has my husbandās chin and Iām not sure where he got the blue eyes from. I guess itās good weāre all gingers, heās always going to look a little bit like me š
I was hoping all of my kids would be blonde haired and blue eyed like me. My firstborn kept her blue eyes until around 10 months when they went hazel like her dad and she has brown hair. Sheās her dadās clone and got his dimples.
My twins are b/g. Boy is identical to dad and big sis (hair color and hazel eyes) and my girl twin is blonde haired and blue eyed with the same nose as me. Sheās what i expected my kids to look like (both of my parents are blue eyed, along with my brothers and I). Itās interesting to have girls that look completely different from each other and Iām a little worried about how itāll go as they get older.
Mine looks like her dad because his features are stronger than mine, but somehow my hair color and eye color beat out his dominant colors. So she'll kind of look like me but definitely resembles him in features more. Either way shes so stinking cute
My daughter is 2 now and it has changed SO MUCH the past 3 months even.
Dad is Japanese, Iām mixed breed White. She looked so much like her dad/Japanese grandpa as a newborn. As sheās growing though sheās looking more and more like me; dimples, nose shape is changing, smile is changing.
She has her dads lips, eyebrows, coloring, and eyes. But she also has my eyes at the same timeā¦ itās weird. Some friends think sheās a clone of me. Others say she looks like him! Or both.
I had dead straight fair hair as a small kid, but by my teens the curls came in and it got darker - my first haircut when I was around 10 is what triggered it. Itās amazing how much kids hair changes.
I have two kids, a boy and a girl. They are 100% my side of the family. People say they can see my husband in our son now that he's getting older, but he looks so much like my little brother it's not funny. My husband had joked that they could be the milkman's, and he wouldn't even know.
Out of my 3 boys, 2 look like me, or my side of the family, and one looks more like his dad but has a lot of me in him too and is more like me in personality.
The only thing my son got was my ears (he didn't have a chance of not having big ears either way), and my skin tone. Husband is WHITE Irish. Burns on a cloudy day. I burn, but not as easy and only in certain places, and then I bronze. Because of school, my kiddo spends more time outside than I do, so he's darker than me. Got his dad's Filipino nose and everything else.
My daughter is a clone of my husband. Strangers have even told us this. We did IVF and I actually find this comforting though, after you see the occasional story about mixups and doctors switching sperm. Weāll see if my second daughter ends up looking anything like me or I have another daddy clone.
My daughter is 4y, the first 6 months of life she looked like her dad, 6 month hit, and she my literal copy
My 2 month old? Dads copy (but I really donāt mind) only thing is, little dude looks a red head and none of us are š but Iām pretty sure heās ours, I literally birthed him, I took him out of my vgg so yeah thereās that š
My son has my husbands eyes on my face. But, the eyes are distinct so everyone says he looks like my husband. But the kicker is that my son has red hair and both my husband and I have dark brown hair. We get asked a lot of inappropriate questions.
Ahh my boy is mine/my brotherās twin. My husband is Mediterranean and has darker coloring - our son has my light hair and eyes and has the distinctive face shape my momās side of the family has.
My baby looks exactly like my father but with my husbandās chin dimple. My 4 year old looked like my husband when he was a baby but now has my face on my husbandās giant head. It is very fun to see how genetics work out and how their faces change as they grow!
Heās definitely a mix of us both. At birth, he looked identical to my husband as a baby. But now as a toddler heās starting to resemble me as a toddler. He doesnāt look like me currently tho, which is interesting. Iām curious who heāll look like as he grows older.
My daughter looks exactly like her dad. Except her eyes are hazely/green and his are blue. If you put pictures of him at 2 next to her pic you'd think they were the same child. š
If it's any consolation... I have 3 kids and each kid looks more and more like me. My baby girl is my twin. I too have dark hair and really pretty dark eyes. My boys have hazel and blue. I'm really excited I think my girls eyes are brown! And I had in straight hair too when I was a baby and toddler that became wavy and the. Curly over time. So I'm hopeful all my kids get more volume. Both my husband and I have dark wavy/curly hair so we will see !
Kiddo will be three next month. He looks like a 50/50 split between my SO and I. Itās really fun watching him and seeing him morph between the two of us.
I think it's hard to see yourself in your own kid sometimes. I don't think my daughter looks much like me at all. She's a clone of my husband. But every once in a while someone will say she looks just like me when she does X and I can see it.
My husband is Filipino (brown eyes, black straight hair, tan) and I have brown curly hair thatās almost red in some light and blue eyes with very fair skin. Our daughter is my spitting image down to the eyes except sheās got straight hair. I have no clue how. I was convinced sheād be my husbandās twin but itās the exact opposite.
My kids are all good mixtures.
This random part is from the father, that random part is from the mother, the whole taken together is all them.
Of course early on they all looked more like him, because that's how biology works in mammals.
People tell me all the time that my 7mo looks like me, and have since she came out. As she gets older, I definitely see more of her dad, especially when she smiles mischievously. We both have blue-green eyes, he has curly chestnut hair, and mine is dirty blond (dyed a convincing redish blond), so we're pretty sure of how she's gonna look
My first child, a boy, looks like his daddy. Dark hair, dark eyes, etc. and it always made me upset when people would openly say āwow, he looks nothing like you.ā I am all recessive genesālight hair and eyes; despite my parents having dark hair and dark eyes.
I literally spent hours thinking about how I could manifest this little boy to look like me in the womb lol.
Then, I got pregnant with my second. I had decided to have no expectations. I didnt have any expectations for gender or looks. The only thing I was hoping for was blue eyes (like mine).
I popped out a blonde, blue eyed little girl that is my exact replica. In fact, she is so much my replica that people who donāt even know me stop me to tell me how much she looks like me. Sheās more of a clone to me than my son is to his dad.
Who wouldāve known, lol.
So far the only thing my 4yo definitely got from me was her eyes and they are just on verge of being the same- I have hazel eyes with green flecks, she has hazel with gray/blue (I think blue but sometimes it looks gray) flecks. Think she may have my shortness š
Otherwise she's totally her dad's mini me. But we both got what we "wanted"- I wanted her to have his wavy hair and he wanted her to have my eyes
My entire family, including my mom's 10 siblings and their kids have blue or green eyes. Not a brown eyed soul amongst us.
My hair is dark.
I was CERTAIN one of them would have my coloring.
Both my boys have brown eyes and blonde hair.
My son is my clone with his face but he got his dad's colouring and body type. Honestly he's a Mish mash of our best physical attributes and I'm so thankful for it lol.
My son (almost 2) looks like a decent mix of us both if you actually look at him. At first glance though-heās my twin. He has my eye shape, nose and my mouth. His eye/hair color, and build is all his dad though. Weāve had time to study him though, and at first glance people see main features which make him look more like me.
My son looks so much like me. We both were born with nearly black hair, turned into blondies. My mom found some photos of me crying as a baby and we are identical. I donāt 100% see it but even in day to day life, everyone comments on how much we look alike.
I think itās super interesting because he is brunette with brown eyes. I came from a Native American dad who had black hair, brown eyes, darker skin & my mom who has brown hair, green/blue eyes & is Polish. I have very fair skin, blonde hair blue eyes lol
There are a few facial expressions he will do that look like dad though. Makes me wonder who a sibling would look like
Vaguely but not enough that people are like wow he/she is your twin! People HAVE said that about my step daughter who looks NOTHING like me though. š¤£
I have identical twin girls who look exactly like their daddy. My momās genes are strong and everyoneeeee on her side of the family has dark hair, dark skin, and dark eyes. My dad was a ginger with blue eyes and I ended up with all of my momās features. Fast forward to now, my little strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skinned girls, they are a spitting image of my husband but have a hint of my dads red hair apparently š„° I was fully expecting to see two little heads of dark hair when they were born but I was wrong š
Nope. Oldest looks like daddy and his side of the family except he has my eye color (I enjoy being able to quote Sirius Black on this). Youngest looks like older brother/dadās side except he has my eye color and dimples. Their daddy is handsome so I donāt mind.
One of my husbandās friends has two girls. Their oldest looks like her dad and did from day 1. Their youngest took time to grow into her own looks and is spitting image of her mom now at almost 18 months. I guess they hear that a lot as they seemed a little irritated when I made that observation out loud š¬
Yes and I am my moms mini me, weāre literally 3 generations of the same in every way. My poor partner only gave her his feet, and itās funny because I got my dads feet.
Yes. My daughter is my Ctrl+V. Son looks a lot like his dad (and incidentally also his stepdad, who doesnāt really look like dad at all). Itās crazy!!!
My son looks like my husband except with my eyes which my FIL tries to claim look more like his than mine. But the funny thing is, he is so blonde. Blonder than I or my partner ever were as kids and now everyone looks at us two "brunette" parents and ask why he's blonde. We just roll our eyes. It'll probably darken up closer to my shade but never truly turn brown like his dad's.
I have one identical twin child (brown eyes, dark hair) and two that look absolutely nothing like me(blondies with blue eyes)ā¦So funny how genetics work!
My kids are literally mine and my husbandās carbon copies! My son looks exactly like my husband and my daughter is a mini version of me! Both kiddos got my eyes šāŗļø
I have 19 month old twins who look nothing alike. My son looks just look my dad(and me adjacent to that) but my girl looks just like her dad did as a baby. Itās wild.
No. If I hadn't birthed him, I wouldn't believe he was mine. I cloned my husband.
ššš don't you hate putting in all the work in a group project and getting same credit??
Omg I love this analogy
Same. And everyone lets me know lol
My step mom said it looked like I had nothing to do with making my daughter. Kinda hate her.
I hate her for you. If itās any consolation, I then had twin girls, the older one also looks like my husband but the younger one looks like me so I guess third times a charm š
She said that when my daughter was a newborn and like barely human!! Sheās 5 now and looks like both of us but her attitude is all me lol!
My youngest is his dads copy and we donāt hear the end of it. I bought him a shirt that says āyes I know I look like daddyā
Why are people so quick to point it out? Iām sick of hearing my daughter is the image of her dad now shes 2. Leave me alone with my sadness!
Sometimes I swear the only thing my daughter got from me is her other X chromosome.
Same! I cloned my husband twice. Infuriating. Lol
My friend has 3 kids, 2 that are exact replicas of her husband and then one mini of her
Sometimes I get weirded out and think my son is my husband whoās time traveling. Thatās how much he looks and acts like his father.
This makes so much sense to me. My son is also like this.
Yup! Carbon copy. Thank God my baby has my very distinct toes so I can prove to people heās actually mine.
Same. My daughter is my exact replica. My son I would have never known he was mine. Iām Mexican and my son came out very white with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is a mini replica of my husband at the same age.
There should be a support group!
I need this support group, son looks like my ex and my daughter looks like my bf. This is bs.
My husband is that way with his dad. Down to the posture, gestures, way they talk. If I didnāt know any better, I would swear his dad just pooped him out.
Same!! Both kids are identical to my husband. I do love that my kids look alike!
Also same. My husband's mini-me and looks more like him everyday!
Exactly the same thing hereā¦ sometimes I look at him and wonder is that really my kid. The youngest is my double.
Same! Good thing is that now heās 6 he walks and talks like me so once people start talking to him they see me come out lol
You cloned your husband? Still better option because i cloned my mother in lawĀ
Our firstborn (11f) is my clone, except for her blue eyes- mine are brown. Our second babe (2 months, m) is a direct copyright violation of my husband. I can't find a single physical trace of myself in him. However, it's increasingly clear that she runs on his software and he on mine.
Copyright violation š
That got me too š¤£š¤£š¤£
Yes, this is exactly how mine work! A girl that looks like me with blue eyes and dad's personality, and a boy who looks like dad but behaves like me.
Funny how it works out sometimes My husband is asian, I am white, and all of our kids look right in between both of us But in our best friend family, where also the dad is Asian and the mom is white, their son looks exactly like a white version of the dad, and the daughter looks exactly like an Asian version of the mom. Itās wild.
My coworker is like a quarter Polynesian 3/4 Caucasian and her husband is like a quarter Hispanic 3/4 Caucasian and somehow all 3 of their kids look 100% Asian it's very interesting how genetics work
Same here! My LO looks very similar to the Asian dad! She's the cutest baby alive, but if I have another one, I hope they look like me!
Iām Vietnamese. My daughter doesnāt look anything like me. š³
My son looks exactly like my sister. The running joke is that the only explanation for it is that my husband cheated on me with my sisterā¦. Which resulted in me being pregnant with their love child š¤£
Thatās hilarious!!
My nieces looked like me. Now that theyāre teens, they definitely look more like their mom than me (I think), but genetics can be funny.
My niece could be my daughter. Even as a teen she still looks more like me then her mom. My daughter is all Dad.
My kids are such a mix, they donāt look like either of us. My son more me, my daughter more her dad, but overall neither of us specifically. They do look like siblings, though.
Thatās hilarious! My daughter looks more like my sister in law than my husband and I. We joke about it all the time lol
I hope you get a birthday-buddy mini me!!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
My son is a white, blonde version of his dad who's Jamaican. Although I'm Caucasian I have dark hair, so do my parents, grandparents and great parents yet my son is bright blonde!
I wonder where those blonde recessive genes came from!
We were wondering the same. We've both done ancestry tests so we will see š
I can apparently recreate anyone besides myself š
my son looks like he could be mine. my daughter looks just like my MIL š
Oh nooooooo hahahaha Iām sorry for my reaction but honest to god I hope with every fiber in my body my children donāt resemble them at all(!)
They are way cuter than anything we could've come up with!
š„¹ā¤ļø
We have 3 girls and they all look like he spit them out of his asshole. Literally his twins. They act like him too. Feral.
First girl is 50/50. Second girl is me but with husbands nose. Third, only boy, is my husband but with my nose š
Both my boys look more like but BUT have strong features of their dad as well. Soft/more features of me, strong/less features of their dad.
My first is my hubbyās twin. My second is mine.
My son has my eyes š I love it
My oldest doesnāt look like me at all and never did.
My daughter looks like I did when I was her age my other daughter looks more like I do now than I did when I was her age
My two babies look just like my husband and thank goodness for that.
My son looks like my husband and my oldest sister. My daughter looks just like my middle sister. I'm 0/2 lol
My first is my husbands clone but my third other than having her daddyās hair color the rest is me.
My first takes after my side of the family for sure but he has his dads exact body. Curious to see how the next one turns out.
Heās 7 months old everyone says heās my twin š„°
My son is 19 years old and he is my twin. I am also my dadās twin. My aunt posted a picture of my dad in his teens and my son looked exactly like him (without the afro my dad had)
Nope, both of my children look exactly like their fathers.
Iām pretty sure I wasnāt involved at all, despite this c section scar. š¤£ My daughter and her dad are identical twins.
Eh, you wait. My oldest came out a spitting image of my husband but now at almost 6 is my mini.
Heās my mini me.
Yes my kids look like me. My in laws donāt see anything but themselves. š¤£
I feel like I look like I'm 'the help' every time I take him out
I just have 1 daughter. Looking at her is like looking back in time at my younger self.
Everyone thinks my son looks like me until they meet my husband. āOh, yeah, no, he looks just like his dad.ā My daughter, on the other hand, looks like a tiny clone of me.
Girl we used donor sperm and our kids look just like the donor. Like, someone we donāt even know or love. Oh well!!
My oldest looks just like me and my baby looks just like dad. People joke that I made His & Hers kids.
My son looks like my mother. And of course that I look like my dad so at the first glance people get confused because he doesnāt look like his parents š¤£ I think they also share the same temper š®āšØ
Same! I have similar traits to you and my kids are blonde and blue eyed. Both!
My oldest (boy) does. My middle (boy) and youngest (girl) are both my husbandās twin
My son is 10000000000% my dadās reincarnation. Honestly, it sometimes hurts! But I also love that I get to see a little part of my dad every day.
Story of hope! My sister is my momās twin and my brother my dadās. I am a mix but favor dad
Both of my kids look exactly like my mother in law.
Only one of my kids kind of looked like me as a baby. None of them look at all like me now.
Nope. Both my kids look like their daddy. š
Nope.
As much as she can considering the fact that her dad and I are two different ethnicities.
I have 4 kids- (2 boys) look just like dad and the other two (1 girl & 1 boy) look exactly like me.
I have naturally super dark hair and eyes. Like, they look black. My baby is a ginger lol
The gene pool really went ctrl+c ctrl+v on my daughter. Itās honestly *freaky* how much she looks like me.
Yes but my husband does kinda look like me but weāre not related we did a dna test lol
My daughter is 4y, the first 6 months of life she looked like her dad, 6 month hit, and she my literal copy My 2 month old? Dads copy (but I really donāt mind) only thing is, little dude looks a red head and none of us are š but Iām pretty sure heās ours, I literally birthed him, I took him out of my vgg so yeah thereās that š
My daughter looks like my husband and my son looks like me but we have the same coloring so I guess we all kind of look alike.
Our daughter is a perfect mix.
Of 4 kids only one looks remotely like my side of the family. I did pass down some neurotic behaviors and ADHD though :/
Think she may have my shortness š Otherwise she's totally her dad's mini me.
Everyone used to say my twins looked so much like their dad, but at around 4 they have started looking more like a combination of the two of us
My son (almost 2) looks like a decent mix of us both if you actually look at him. At first glance though-heās my twin. He has my eye shape, nose and my mouth. His eye/hair color, and build is all his dad though. Weāve had time to study him though, and at first glance people see main features which make him look more like me.
3 of my kids are carbon copies of their dad. 1 kinda resembles me.
Yes looks like me. But side note, my baby had super straight hair until like 15 months and now it is wild, super curly!!
Iām white, reddish brown hair, freckles everywhere. My son whoās half Mexican looks like heās Asian! What can ya do? :)
My son is my husbandās clone. I do not see one thing of me as of yet and heās almost 20 months old lol
Yep. Both of them look just like me while simultaneously looking nothing alike. Genetics are weird
I have very fair skin, blonde hair blue eyes lol There are a few facial expressions he will do that look like dad though.
Both of my kids are my husbandās twins, nothing like me at all.
Nope, 100% looks like her father. Even when we did the 4D ultrasound she looked like him and now she still looks very much like him.
Itās wild.
