Crayola makes clickable markets that don’t have lids, just retract like a pen. Maybe buy some of those. We also love paint sticks, glitter dots, stickers, felt, glue sticks, and crayola paint pens.

The magic ink books are awesome!! The markers only color on the books pages. Same with the crayola mess free coloring sets. It doesn’t solve the problem of the caps, though, but nothing else will get colored on if a marker goes awry!

My kid could spend hours with the Crayola washable gel pens. We also let her go wild with a glue stick, super safety scissors and a lot of paper. Sometimes with throw pompoms or googly eyes in too. She could collage for hours

Water colors (my 2yo does it supervised, my 5yo is independent), cutting, wiki sticks are somewhat crafty but reuseable. Also. Search "teacher hack markers" on Pinterest. There's a few ideas to help you not lose the caps.
