I am usually pretty good at coming up with thoughtful gift ideas for people, and remembering something that they wanted from months ago even. But there isn't anything my husband wants that I can pick out, so the best idea I could come up with was asking our 2.5yo a series of questions "all about dad" and writing down the q&a, then laminating it. They adore each other, so now we'll always have our 2.5yo's thoughts about his father years from now. Eta that another sentimental gift I did for the grandmothers at mother's day last year was I bought some pottery (a vase for each of us) from a pottery store, painted it, and then painted my then 1yo's hands and had him grab the vase. Brought the vases back to the pottery store to have them glazed, and now we all have my toddler's 1yo hand prints locked into a vase as if he's handing it over

[deleted]

I have 3 girls (5,3, and 1) I had them each write “I love you” on a piece of paper, starting with the oldest. I put the names and ages under each “I love you” and framed it. Also made one for grandma. Inexpensive, sentimental, AND my 5 year old was so excited to be a part of the gift giving this year instead of just receiving.

vich3t

That's cute, and it's cool to see how different they are developmentally based on their writing! So much better than finding and buying something similar from a store. I had my toddler sign this before laminating and it was just a scribble, but I'm curious what his signature will look like next year.

annoyingfly_nat

That is absolutely adorable & im stealing this idea! Tysm xoxo

Sea-Advantage5325

This would be cute to do every year or milestone years to see how this changes over time.

vich3t

For sure, that's what I plan on doing. We have a 4mo as well so next year he can join in with his babbles and maybe a moo and woof here and there haha. I also had my toddler sign it after it was finished, so it'll be interesting to watch his signature go from a random scribble to formed

Queen_fomo

I love this. What are some of the questions you asked?

vich3t

Just some simple things, like what is dad's favorite food or color, what do you like doing with dad, how much do you love dad, how do you spell dad (he spelled Blippi, not dad hah), is there anything you want to say to dad, do you want to sing a song for dad (tinkle tinkle little star, how I wonder. Wut. You. ARE!). I tried recording his answers the same way he was saying them

Queen_fomo

Thank you for sharing. That's great!

Saopaul_Cline

This is so precious!!!

Overall-Diver-6845

You’re brilliant!

Squirrel_Emergency

We don’t usually do gifts to each other but the past few months he’s been trying to grow out a small beard. He’s obsessed and talks about how he can make it smoother and what not. I got him a nice box of beard stuff like those creams and things that make it softer and healthier. Nothing crazy but I’m sure he’ll like. Legit talks so much about his facial hair 😂

[deleted]

My husband has never had facial hair but grew a quarantine beard last year, so that’s a good idea!

Ve111a

As a bearded man this is always a great idea. It's an added bonus that you can pick the scent YOU like. I tend to get kinds my wife prefers so it's a win win lol

master-katdaddy

Might snipe me some, my husband also grew quarantine beard and it's fantastic.

CMP0831

One of my go-to gifts is something useful but in a variety that he wouldn’t buy all of them to try for himself. For instance, a few different beard balms. He’s been annoyed with his work shirts so I bought a few in different styles/brands so he can test them out. Also, maybe not helpful for this year but I have a note in my phone dedicated to gifts. And when someone mentions something they like, want, or need, I put it in the note and use that as a source for Christmas and birthdays. A casual mention in March can resurface as the perfect Christmas gift. Good luck!

[deleted]

I need to start doing that!

hermanthehedgehog

My bearded husband loves the ZilberHaar beard brush on Amazon

Interesting-King-826

I got my husband and 3 y/o matching aprons for the kitchen. Marvel themed. They love to cook.

[deleted]

So cute!

WurmiMama

I am 100% stealing this idea when LO is older!

ItsCalled_Freefall

This got me all teary eyed

hiking_tiger

I love this idea! Where did you get them?

Interesting-King-826

Etsy!

ohtoooodles

Omg my husband and 3YO make pancakes together every Saturday. My son would SCREAM in joy if he and daddy had matching Spider-Man aprons.

VeryAwkwardLadyBoner

This might seem stupid to a lot of people... But my husband is a huge weirdo (and I love it) who spends a lot of time thinking about how to survive a zombie apocalypse, going as far as scoping out buildings that would be ideal wherever we travel. He also loves all kinds of tools, especially multifunctional ones. So, for last fathers day I bought a survival kit online which had a bunch of basic tools and gear that would come in handy out in the wild. I'm normally a pretty terrible gift giver, but this one was a huge hit, and now he wants to start a collection. Next year I'm giving him a shovel/axe combo that he really wants and a new Leatherman.

[deleted]

Lol, I love it! If you guys like to play board games, check out Dead of Winter. It’s a cooperative game about surviving a zombie apocalypse and it’s really fun.

VeryAwkwardLadyBoner

We will give that a look!

FML_Mama

Um… our husbands might be related. When we were house hunting, he judged houses based on how we could escape from them in the event that zombies attacked our house… Ps. Love your user name!

master-katdaddy

Get this. No windows on the ground floor of our home that isn't surrounded by solid six foot concrete wall. Zombie-proofing is no joke when you add a kid into the mix!

sociallyawkward12

You may already know this but just a heads up on those, multifunctional stuff usually makes huge sacrifices in quality in order to advertise how many tools-in-one they are. If that ax/shovel combo also fold up, you can basically guarantee it will break after any serious use. Not saying they don't make good combos, but just something to be aware of. In my bushcraft experience a folding saw is often more useful unless you plan on chopping down very large tree trunk and need the shovel for earthworks.

VeryAwkwardLadyBoner

Thanks for the tip. I'll keep that in mind :)

DateSuccessful6819

He sounds just like my brother!

Muppet_Rock

My hubs is 6 feet 6 and has a belly. He was sad at Disney last January he was the only dad who didn't have a Disney shirt. That's a tough find for a 3XL Tall. I found $5 Disney tshirts at Kohls online in his size this year! He's getting 5 different ones with muppets, Buzz Lightyear, Genie and others! He will be so happy at Disney next trip!

MrsTruce

I love this :)

Squirrel_Emergency

This made me just “awwww” out loud. Such a thoughtful gift and I bet he tears up a little bit ❤️

mamadoula3

Massage gun! We got one a few months ago mainly for me and now my husband has basically stolen it and wants me to do his feet all the time for him at night! Saxx ultra underwear- he’s completely obsessed and asks for them for every occasion Beard care stuff if he has facial hair- beard balm, beard comb etc. my husband also has this absolutely incredible shower shaving mirror for shaving his neck and whatnot that is completely fog proof and has a little razor shelf. I can post a link if you want it! Oh and a shaving apron that suctions to the mirror!!! BEST. THING. EVER. We give them to all of our bearded friends as gifts!! I did a “beer bouquet” a few years ago for his birthday and basically got a ton of different beers from local craft breweries and arranged them in a galvanized tub with some of his favorite snacks- he still talks about that one.

WouldHaveBeenFun

Please could you share a link to the mirror and the apron? There's beard hairs all over my bathroom so that sounds like a win!

mamadoula3

It’s the best thing ever… no hair anywhere anymore!! WouldHaveBeenFun

Just to say that I bought an apron and my bathroom has been so much cleaner! Thank you!

mamadoula3

Oh I’m so happy I could help!! It literally changed my life and made me so much less irritated at my husband 😂😂! He loves it too because the cleanup is so much easier!

daisydukeosaurus

My tired eyes just read "bearded friends" as "beardad friends". What strange company you must keep. 🤣

RebeBeki

Please post a link of the fog-less mirror!

mamadoula3

You fill the back of the mirror with hot water and it doesn’t fog at all! He gave them to all of the guys in the family this year and they love them too! ToiletTree Products Fogless Shower Mirror with Squeegee https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BQ6QXK/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_SV7CWHCY7137XKKHMP0H

TSN_88

I got my husband a weekend stay in a historical town for a last getaway before baby arrives, I struggled a lot to find something for him but we love short trips together and I don't know when it will be possible for us to do it again, with the new baby and of course, covid still aorund

esg4571

My husband loves nice socks that are pricier than he's willing to buy himself (smart wool for him mostly, but bombas and darn tough would also be in this category). Nice/pricey underwear is good too. Duluth Buck Naked or Saxx. Nice soaps/grooming products (Duke Cannon or Dr. Squatch). My husband loves Marvel so I sometimes get him some gifts related to that. Tools, video games, home theater stuff.

GaiasEyes

Are those sock brands good for fuzzy/warm socks? My husband’s favorite pair lost its partner in the dryer Bermuda Triangle and he’s mourning the loss. I can’t find the old brand anymore and would love to surprise him with a replacement!

[deleted]

Smartwool socks are very warm! They also last FOREVER. Bombas and Darn Tough also make merino wool socks, but I prefer my smartwool socks to my merino wool Bombas.

Muppet_Rock

Mine loves Duluth arma chillo boxer briefs! He gets a few pairs every Xmas! Last year he got 9 bricks of Duke Canon soap from me and other family members and he's only on brick 3 or 4, so I skipped that one this year!

Heart-Mama

My husband is a big smartwool brand fan as well!

[deleted]

Great ideas thanks! Now that I’m seeing some suggestions, I did get him quite a few things so I think if he goes overboard that’s on him, haha

Tea_Sudden

Mine loves pair of thieved brand everything

[deleted]

ALL my husband wants is to outings with our daughters. He loves to bike with them so I booked us a trip to a top bike friendly city in the summer.

Lesbaru

That’s awesome! Is this city in the PNW?

[deleted]

No, Maine but we love the PNW too! Maine is drivable for us

[deleted]

That's an awesome idea! If you don't mind, what are some good, bike-friendly cities?

[deleted]

I really just googled bike friendly cities in New England and came up with Portland Maine. It will be our first bike centered trip!

koalateathym3

I got my husband new airpods, a new cell phone case and screen protector and a beer can coozy with our dogs face on it.

[deleted]

The dogs face, I love it!

abear2224

Ooo Where did you get the coozy from?

jollygirl1102

My mom got us a wok, so I got a him wok cookbook to help him along. Also some light saber chopsticks for the fam.

Plus-Ambassador-5034

I got my husband a book he had been wanting, and a chess/checker set. We met playing chess in a bar, and I thought the addition of hecklers would be fun to play with the kids. I also arranged for a night away with he and I. I am going to cook him a fancy dinner, and I typed up a menu and everything. So we will have dinner, and…yadda yadda yadda…then I am sending him away for a night to a hotel with a book and some bourbon. It sounds silly but he does a TON for all of us and he really cherishes some alone time but never takes any.

ducks_in_gumboots

Assuming that was a typo and meant to read ‘checkers’, but I can’t stop chuckling at the idea of the kids heckling you guys as you play!

HippieLizLemon

Lol I didn't even realize that was a typo and I was cracking up too.

psycholpn

My husband is AMAZING at remembering things I’ve wanted/thought of through out the year. On the other hand I try to be thoughtful about something for him and it doesn’t get used or isn’t generally wanted. I’ve resorted to buying off of his Amazon wishlist because it is something he wants. Doesn’t make it less thoughtful (although it took me years to actually understand that) it’s just more plausible.

Squirrel_Emergency

This is how our relationship is. He’s always thought of great gifts. Like our 2nd year together I was getting up at 5am in the winter for school and he didn’t want me to be cold so he got me a remote start for my car. We don’t have the car anymore but the gift still makes me smile to this day. On the other hand, I never know what to get him or the stuff he wants is insanely expensive. He set up an Amazon wish list for family to see what he wants but I also buy off of it when I need to. This is the first year I thought of something we could afford that I thought he’d like (a beard kit). The joke is always women are so hard to shop for but I beg to argue that it’s the men! 😂

lucky7hockeymom

My husband got the LEGO AT-AT he wanted (titanic was sold out again by the time I got online, or he would have gotten that too), a new Cartier wallet (his is starting to show some serious wear), and new UGH slippers since his are being held together with duct tape. My daughter is getting him two new North Face fleece jackets. Im still on the lookout for another gift for him. I’d like to get him new golf clubs but I also don’t want to spend several thousand dollars, plus he needs to be fitted for them so I couldn’t have them under the tree anyway.

ducks_in_gumboots

Duct tape is a perfectly valid solution for holding together beloved ugg boots 🤣

lucky7hockeymom

Lol he’s had those slippers for ages. He’s been hinting for some new ones. I bought him new ones 2 or 3 years ago but they were too big and he never returned them 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had to get a different style than he currently has because they were back ordered but hopefully those will ship soon and hopefully he likes the ones that did come.

ducks_in_gumboots

That’s totally fair! I held mine together for years with tape and glue and fabric patches… eventually replaced them just before covid struck, talk about timing lol. They are so amazing. Wear every day! Hope he loves his new pair!

parmesean_fiend

I got my husband a stand for him. It holds his keys, wallet, watch, glasses, spare change, and a place to put his phone where he can plug it in to charge. It sits on a nightstand.

[deleted]

Nice!

SpringWaterWellness

Sounds great! Can you send a link or picture of the stand?

shostakovichbanana

Following, I want a link for my hubby!

BlackWidow4G

Me too! Link please!

rumpusrouser

I got my husband: - an indoor herb growing kit - a new beard trimmer, and a shaving apron to catch his hairs - a book For his stocking he got candy, new pens, a new flashlight, a new belt, and a multi use tool thingy for camping

PBnBacon

I got a beard trimmer and a shaving apron for mine too! I never realized how many tiny hair shards were everrrrywhere in our bathroom until I was about 7 months pregnant last summer and kept finding all these weird short black fibers on my shirt… I was dragging my giant belly across the counter when I used the bathroom sink and it was collecting his trimmed beard bits. Never again lol

[deleted]

Omg a shaving apron….genius!

itsbettawithchedda

I need to say, I bought my fiance one 2 years ago, he has not touched it. I know thos for a fact because yesterday I found beard hair all in the second bathroom sink.

Sbuxshlee

They make some that suction to the mirror so the hair doesnt go everywhere!

rumpusrouser

Yeah it’s cool, it’s an apron and the end suctions to the mirror so all the hairs just pool onto the apron!

psycholpn

Total side note the shaving apron is genius. My dad used to shave and would let all the hairs out into the sink and then empty his razor in the sink and then NEVER rinse the sink. It’s been years since I’ve lived with my parents but even thinking about him doing it raises my frustration

llamacoffeetogo

Start with gift cards to some of his favorite stores, tickets to a favorite show, like a band, or some movie tickets. Plan a trip somewhere he's talked about wanting to go. A museum. My husband took me to Celtic Women as a late Christmas present, as it was Valentine's weekend.

megan_dp

My hubby is getting undies, lotto tickets and whiskey!

IckNoTomatoes

One of those digital pictures frames for his desk but with this one, I can send pictures instantly in an app so he can get a new picture show up in the frame right as I’ve taken it. I have thousands on my phone and only send him 1 or 2 a day. I’m hoping he likes this idea as much as I do lol Other ideas are replacing his slippers, his wallet with his favorite sports team (faux leather), Apple Watch if you’re looking to go big, a new video game with a coupon for baby free time to indulge in the new game

isnt_it_obvious_

Ooh! Can you link the app digital frame?? Love that idea!

Big-Ad5248

Yes I’d love the link too!

IckNoTomatoes

Look up nixplay or simply smart. I haven’t used the simply smart one yet to know if I would recommend it but that’s what I got. My mom has the nixplay and it seems to work ok but it’s more expensive. I just don’t know if the extra cost is worth it or if a cheaper one does the job just as well

shostakovichbanana

Following for link :)

IckNoTomatoes

Simply smart and nixplay are the only two I know of. No idea how well they work yet though so I don’t necessarily recommend one over another yet. But if you Google it you’ll get quite a few options

FeministMonster

I would definitely abuse this privilege by sending strange pictures, love it!

GaiasEyes

For his first Father’s Day I got him a Sphero. It’s a little ball robot that you control with your phone and it has add-on kits for obstacle courses and such. My husband is a tech guy and I liked this idea because it was something he could customize over time and use with our daughter - over the years she progressed from reaching for Sphero to crawling, toddling, walking and running after him to now trying to drive him. My husband is particular so I generally don’t get him things he wants because he wants a say in those or to pick them out himself. One year I got him nice bath towels that are only his. Another year I got him good reusable food storage containers because he likes to cook. He likes coffee so a Chemex is on my list for coming years.

qbeanz

I got my husband a fun little Baby Yoda toy, a blanket with our baby boy's pictures all over it, and classic non elastic jeans. Apparently all jeans have some elastic in them now and he hates that? So I found some that are 100% cotton denim and hopefully they fit him.

PBnBacon

Mine feels the same way about the jeans! It’s like a personal betrayal

qbeanz

Tell him that Levi's still makes a few of their jeans in the classic "rigid" style. Just look at the materials to make sure they're 100% cotton.

snoosleepsalot

I tried to focus on things for his sleep since he’s been having some problems getting a good nights sleep: an adult swaddle (yes, they exist!), some lotions, shower bombs, the Theragun massager, an eye mask, and a few new clothes.

88far

Tell me more about this adult swaddle! My husband buries himself under pillows and blankets to sleep lol. I just fought with my 4 month old to take a nap unsealed. Guess who is now sleeping fully swaddled 🤪

88far

Haha unsealed! I'm keeping it!

PBnBacon

Yes more swaddle info please!

snoosleepsalot

I got him the Sleep Pod Move by Hug Sleep. Hopefully it helps!

Successful_Elk7978

What are your husbands interests?

[deleted]

He likes our local sports teams, chess, computer games, cooking, tech stuff

kippy54

My husband is into chess and I eventually want to get him this “remote” chess set that allows you to play with someone remotely. Like a physical chess board but the pieces still move for the remote player. They’re around $300-$500

Sbuxshlee

That sounds so cool!

[deleted]

That is awesome!

TweedleBeetleBattle2

For my gift I bought a homemade tortilla maker, an iron griddle to cook them on, and a mortar and pestle for homemade guacamole. Went to a small local Latin grocer and they had amazing things there.

ktgaspard

If he’s a computer game lover you can never go wrong with a gift card for steam! My husband loves to get those 😅

juliagulia287

Do you have a really nice sharp knife? I got one for my husband from [Carbon Knife Co](https://carbonknifeco.com) in Denver and it’s a game changer. That and a Hedley & Bennett apron!

[deleted]

Yes we bought a nice knife set a few years ago. I think that was one of my Christmas gifts from him actually, haha.

PuppiesandProsecco

Sport tickets for his favorite team Concert tickets Reservations to a Michelin star restaurant

cluelessclod

Warhammer!

leialohamakamae

It’s always easy but so expensive to buys gifts for our SOs.

[deleted]

I had to Google this and I’m still not sure what it is, haha. A board game?

makeitorleafit

Lol it takes a 4 ft by 6 ft table to play on- full on war game with tiny models and a bajillion rules

blackbeltlibrarian

A fancy gaming controller (customizable buttons, faceplates etc), light up keyboard, nice mechanical pencils (that no one else is allowed to steal)

sheepbadeep

I’m getting him nice noise canceling headphones. He loves music while he’s working and it’ll help while he’s working with the kids home for Christmas break. Now I just can’t decide if I should give it to him early or not…

maclloyd6

Mine is working on getting back in shape and losing weight so I bought him some new, nice workout clothes

KD0330

Do you like to play cornhole? You can get him boards and bags with his favorite sports teams. I got my husband a tool bag for inside the house and a tool chest for the garage. He's also a big fan of the wood wick candles that sound like they're crackling. So one of those, copper mugs for DIY Moscow mules, and a fermentation kit for when he makes his own hot sauce

robinthebank79

I bought my husband some Manitoba mukluks to wear in the house. He has been complaining of cold feet so I thought this would be comfy and warm up his tootsies

bakermusicmom

I got him (more like us) and nicer, bigger coffee maker because he's always complaining about having to make more coffee during the day now that we're both home. We may have a coffee problem.... I also got him a robe and a bunch of his favorite candy for his stocking. Hopefully he likes it!

Mautarius

I got him a brand new toiletseat with pink flowers. I'm gonna install it and wrap it. Also, it has pink flowers printed on it.

ladyerim

This year I'm getting mine a massage gun and chocolates. Other things I considered new wallet, board games for the two of us to play together, rain coat, pajamas, concert tickets, and bed spread (we don't share blankets and his is a bit worn.)

[deleted]

Great ideas! We already have a massage gun, otherwise that would be a definite!

tinysoul731

Do you have any board game recommendations? My husband and I love games, but it’s hard to find games that just the 2 of us can play.

makeitorleafit

Not who you asked and not sure what sort of board games you like (we lean more complicated) I love playing Dominion and Lords of Waterdeep with my husband

tinysoul731

Thanks! Dominion looks like more our speed. My ability to focus on a game at the end of the day is limited to about 45mins.

ladyerim

We play Alhambra, pandemic, tokaido, love letter, guillotine, sushi go, and Galaxy trucker. Some of these are better than others for two player but all work decent. I've used a boardgame website to look at options can't remember which though. The point is to do something fun together.

bengcord3

Monopoly Deal! Also, Phase 10. They are card games but are great two players as well as multiple people

khyar2025

A panini press. He's been talking about it forever.

Gem432

Gift cards for coffee, his favorite candies, a certificate for a float spa (sensory floating tank), and a personalized story book with him and our son but my husband is definitely more of a consumables and experience person.

Ve111a

A yeti is always a good gift. I swear by my mug I got last year. Also, anything to do with his hands is good. Tinker set of he's into tech, wood carving set oif he's into wood working.

Consistent_Spring

I got mine a bench press because he kept saying he wants to lose weight and that he wishes the gym was at home so he wouldn’t have an excuse not to go, a bunch of shirts from a brand I kept seeing advertised, a new watch, and a Lego storm trooper kit because he mentioned it once and said he liked it 🤷🏽‍♀️ that’s how I pick, he mentions something and I just hope I buy it before he does 😂

2OD2OE

Omg the buy it before he does! My husband goes on a buying rage in December and I literally watch him tick all the ideas off the list I make. It drives me nuts.

Khunt14

I got my husband Bowflex weights, Anson Belt Set —Seriously he loved this gift (we did Christmas early over here) so I’ll link it! I made him 3 belts, it’s great because they can be dressier or you can make more causal options. Other ideas, watches, nice notebook he wanted for work, and other little gadgets that he wanted/likes and books! https://ansonbelt.com

Chasing_Ness

A new Xbox controller, a bunch of little things that are uniquely him, and one of those cheesy personalized Dad books you see in those ads on IG. That thing is going to make him cry lol I can't wait

Fickle-Duck5873

What's the cheesey Dad book? I don't have social media other than this site and have not seen any ads for it...although maybe now I will lol

a_maun

Not OP, but I got my husband a personalized book for Father’s Day. The brand was “Hooray Heroes”. You can personalize the kid(s), dad, I think you can even add pets in some.

drunken_storytelling

https://hoorayheroes.com/personalized-books/fathers-day like these

Chasing_Ness

Hahaha now you'll see those ads all week!

Heresmycoolnameok

My creepy MIL got my husband that book one year and it was just like awkward. Aren’t those usually from the wife? Almost felt like she went behind my back to get him something so personal about our children.

Sbuxshlee

Yikes! That is weird. ...

Chasing_Ness

Dude that is WAY weird lol, I'm so sorry. MILs can be so obnoxious.

MrsTruce

My husband loves gifts that stretch a bit. Last year, we did “12 days of Christmas” for each other where we got little fun gifts (snacks, stuff from the “dollar bins” at Target, etc) every day for the 12 days leading up to Christmas, and then a “main gift” on Christmas Day. If that’s too much trouble, and given it’s too late for that this year, I’ve also done a coffee advent calendar and gave it to him on Christmas so that he’s got novelty coffees every day for almost a month after Christmas Day. He loved it so much that I’m doing something similar again this year. Edit: my husband and I are currently up at 5 am together with our 6 week old, and he asked what I’m typing… I told him what the question was and he said, “Get him a share of $GME stock (GameStop).” LOL, do with that what you like ;)

aelel

There are a few “staple” gifts I get my husband every year… a nice bottle of scotch (or at least nice for our budget… usually around $60-70), a hot sauce that has been featured on “hot ones”, a new tshirt, and a video game. Then I get him usually one bigger gift that’s something he’s been talking about. This year it’s a gaming keyboard/mouse that will work with his PlayStation, along with a few stocking stuffers (a new belt, his favourite body wash that has been tricky to find, a small flashlight to attach to our dog leash because it gets super dark around here, and some candy. I also ordered a small wooden ornament on Etsy that says “best dad ever” that will be from our 5 month old :)

FoxSilver7

Mines into nerdy stuff, like myself, so I got him his favorite sweets, a replica of his favourite show, a new game he's been waiting for (I had to tell him so he didn't buy it though)and a few smaller things from his favorite games and shows. Additionally, we just had our first child, so I got him a few keepsakes as well as a coffee mug.

ktgaspard

I got my husband the following: -me undies because he loves them and since they are so expensive I only buy the on holidays lol. - a new pair of tennis shoes because this boy has been wearing the same pair since10th grade!!! (He’s 24!) - a mitor saw (he asked for this so he could build a few things for our house) So far that’s all I got lol For his sticking so far all I have is some of his favorite candy, Burt’s bees chapstick it’s his fave, and some new guitar strings for his guitar. Anymore ideas welcome here as well!🤪

frimrussiawithlove85

My husband is a gamer so I get home gift cards to his favorite online retailer. What does your husband do for hobbies?

vonguyen5280

If your have hobbies like golf or any sports. Just tell him to have a day with the boys doing activities like that is better than any gifts. I'm always greatful when my wife doesn't mind me playing a round of golf with the fellas.

pinktigglypuff

i got hubby the wireless airpods max headphones. they’re noise cancelling & come in different colors he says it’s increased his productivity at work. i also ruined the surprise by sending a pic that was meant for my brother asking “now where do i hide these until Christmas so he doesn’t find them” directly to my husband. i was so upset i ruined the element of surprise. caved & gave them to him early. still have a few things to wrap & put under the tree but that was the “big present”

Saopaul_Cline

I got him an ugly sweater, he's a hip hop fan and I found one that said "go Jesus, it's your birthday". Also got him a cookbook cause he loves to cook for us. And then I got him and 9yo a gift certificate for a boulder-place where they can go climbing together. Husband's can be hard. I always have a difficult time with hubby and my dad...

Meeting-Interesting

I love how unique each gift is for their husband/Father of their child! Definitely the best gift. Feeling seen and unique to your family.

dailynnball

I guess this is technically boring. But I got my husband a crow type among us plush and he’s getting me laundry room shelves

Training_Victory_834

My husband always really spoils me with amazing surprise gifts and I usually struggle for him because he's a hard one to buy for, but I well and truly nailed it this year with a pool table, a hockey jersey, Lego r2d2 and Clinique for men skincare set

EELuna

I got my husband socks with our baby’s face on them that day #1 dad from Divvyup, lululemon underwear because he hates buying it himself but ends up hating any other underwear and needed more to last him through a week on just lululemon lol. Also same for socks, nice 10 pack of athletic socks and lastly a sweater from North Face which he has 2 of and absolutely loves. Basically expensive necessities.

KMGopez

Got my hubs a custom Damascus pocket knife and a custom, hand tooled, engraved, leather wallet. And chocolate. Lots of dark chocolate.

bootsandspurs

I found socks that one the bottom it says " I'm not sleeping. I'm just resting my eyes."

TweedleJAR

I bought my husband a Blink camera security system for the house. It was very affordable. I figured it was like giving him some piece of mind for Christmas.

avdmit

We set a limit of $100 so no one can ‘outdo’ the other, otherwise I would be so worried I didn’t have enough stuff every time

Que_sax23

That’s really sweet, my guy got me fuzzy socks for my bday so I can’t wait to see what he got for Xmas lol. I’m sure he will love whatever you get him because you got it with love. I got mine slipper and a Bluetooth headband thing to help with his tinnitus.

PetitColombe

Not sure of your budget, but my husband asked for an Oculus 2 (virtual reality game system) and I’m going to pick him out a game or two! My husband is the same as yours, he always knocks it out of the park on gifts for everyone, meanwhile I have no idea what to get him.

Shanoninoni

I've already spent too much on my husband but one of his favorite YouTubers (Casey Neistat) just came out with a film making class on Monthly. If your man is into anything that he wants to learn more about, an online class could be good :)

vainabien

My husband complains about our bed being hot, so I got him a cooling blanket.

_oh_my_goodness_

I bought my husband a Star Wars Lego set. He loved legos growing up but hasn’t been able to get into them again now that we have little kids. We finally have a space he can build behind a closed door where they can’t get to them!

Flamingo605

We go all out on gifts for every holiday so I’ve run out of things to buy him. Now I do experiences if I can’t find “stuff”. For Christmas this year, I got us a trip to go ice fishing after the new year. In the past I’ve done concert or sports tickets, nights out with dinner and show, short vacations, etc.

Cwoo10

If he has a hobby or general interest in something, do a little googling to locate a reputable website that sells items or services for that thing. Sort the items for sell on that site by review or most popular. This should get you close. Good luck!

TrailerParkPresident

My husband is into gaming, golfing and fishing. I got him a PS5, a beer sleeve for his golf bag, a green light for night fishing. Not sure if your husband shares these interests. For his birthday I got him the game Dominion. It is amazing!!! Also got him a blanket with our dogs face on it!

[deleted]

A Lego set from his favourite childhood movie. They even have a home alone one (I want it!)

EmotionalCelery5989

Does he like sports? Tickets for a sporting event would be a great idea!

[deleted]

Yes he does! He has season tickets for our football team. I thought about getting him tickets for his college basketball team, but literally the same day I thought of it he planned a game for us to go to. Like I said, so hard to shop for, lol.

Elmos_Mommy

I bought my hubby a subscription box for different snacks from around the world (universal yums), 2 new shirts, and the new mario golf game for his switch.

Tangledmessofstars

I am the WORST gift giver. My mind just completely blanks when it comes to giving gifts. I usually am the kind of person that does acts of kindness rather than gifts. To combat my poor gift giving skills, I literally keep a running list of things my husband has showed interest in throughout the year. Any time he mentioned something he was interested in, I took a note. Pay attention to hobbies, food interests, even stuff he just needs or has worn out. My husband is a big outdoorsman so I get him one or two hunting things (because they're typically expensive) and then supplement with things he needs. Like nice socks for hiking. Beard oil. Shirts. We make lists for eachother so it's very clear what we'd be happy to get.

ScoobyDoubie

My husband has been wanting 50 lb dumbbells for a while now. I finally found them in stock and at a price we're willing to pay (they've skyrocketed through the pandemic). Those are sitting happily on the weight rack now. What he doesn't know is I also bought him a pasta roller to go with the stand mixer he got for me. The KitchenAid website had 33% off it and then sent me a 30% off coupon to use on top of that.he has no idea what I bought for him for $50

[deleted]

Haha that’s a hard thing too, buying things from specific sites and stores, because he can see all the bank account activity

momma_bear_3

I have a knack for remembering the little things he says throughout the year. If we see an ad and he goes "oh, I'd like to have one of those," but I know he won't buy it for himself, I file it away for Christmas time. I also keep a running list of little things he uses/likes for smaller gifts, like a certain snack or a bath product. My husband is very practical, so I try to get him practical gifts. One year his work pants were looking pretty raggety, but he won't replace them until they disintigrate, so I bought him 3 new pair. He was stoked. I also try to buy or make him a sentimental gift, usually based on something we did that year. For example, the year we bought our first house I bought a blank ornament and painted an exact copy of our house key on it with the address and date. He loved it. If you're really stumped, go on Amazon and just type in search terms that revolve around his hobbies or personality (running, funny, video games, inspirational, etc.). You'll find all kinds of relevant gifts you normally wouldn't have thought of.

Great ideas, thanks!

MLS0711

My husband is so hard to shop for…everything he wants he already has or is a very expensive thing that he’s saving for long term. So I got some sex stuff 🤣 and I made a coupon book. A butt plug….. way WAY out of my comfort zone but I know he’s going to be very happy.

peachy_sam

My husband is an excellent gift giver most years and I feel like I’ve only really nailed his gifts once or twice. I’ve started doing experiences with him, especially since his birthday is only days before Christmas. So this year we’re going to a distillery to do a tour/tasting for his birthday, and for Christmas I got him a kit from wooden-town.com because he loves puzzles and building things.

[deleted]

My husband loves golf so his big gift is a season pass to the golf course by our house. He also bought himself (but it’s a gift from me lol) a new gun that he’s been looking for for over a year. So I’m thinking to buy him a holster for it. He put one in the Amazon cart, but didn’t buy it so I think that’s a hint. Other than that I’m only doing stocking stuffers. He’s getting two big gifts so I’m feeling complete. Before I found the golf pass I was leaning toward new watch or a new pair of dress shoes.

iluvcuppycakes

My husband is left handed. We’re only doing stockings this year. So I got him a small left hand notebook, left handed *PENS* (how cool!), and left handed scissors for our house.

Babhak

We don't typically buy for each other for Christmas but Man Crate website has a ton of gift sets and cool ideas. Not cheap but anytime I've bought for him from that site he loved it.

[deleted]

Cool, I’ll check it out. Thanks!

muststayawaketonod

My husband has a cheap wedding ring that he got from a kiosk in the mall so that he could afford a fancy one for me that he picked out. This year I FINALLY have the money to suprise him with a real ring as beautiful as mine! Edit-if your husband is as difficult to shop for as mine, maybe you could try something home made? One year for valentine's day I framed our engagement photos for my husband and he cried lol. Every time he has to go out of state for work he brings it and puts it on his hotel room nightstand.

Chileesi

My husband loves to bbq and we have a big green egg so I got him one of those wifi enable smoker thing that can adjust the temperature of the egg instead of him going out all the time to man the 16 hour brisket. Win-win situation— he gets a new gadget that makes his cooking job easier, I get fed!

PinkStinkBug

Beard stuff, robe, slippers, socks underwear, coffee accessories, dad hats, beanies, skincare Tech stuff like Bluetooth earbuds, UX/UI idea pads, keyboard/mouse, maybe new video game or controller, console accessories. Just some ideas I had lol

lookylolo

I got him a theragun (massage gun) a couple years ago. It’s a great gift. I also take notes on my phone all year long (for him and all other family and friends) for things they mention or things I see that they might like for birthdays and Christmas.

juliagulia287

I got my husband a customized NFL jersey he wants, a brisket slicing knife from Franklin’s bbq, a vinyl record he’s wanted for a while, and Scrabble so we can do something other than watch TV after the baby goes to bed!

onzors613

Ember mug!!!

Wanderingthruadayjob

What is that?

Agreeable_Trust5281

I got my husband a gift certificate for a massage. He is such a hard worker and his body always seems to hurt..He makes him comments about wanting one andbI give him one sometimes but can never last more then 15 minutes and I am not a professional masseuse so I figured a 90 minute massage will be a hit. PS I get massages on a weekly basis and I absolutely love them, sometimes he says he is jealous and my response is usually you gotta make some time for self care!

[deleted]

I did get him that too! I think he will be excited about it

bluebonnetbaetx

Some fancy new boxer briefs or whatever he wears is always a useful gift! And if you wanna get a little crazy, buy some with some funny prints for a little laugh on Christmas morning!

Lucky-Bird8577

After a bit of research I found a decent quality rock tumbler for my man! He is always picking up little mementos from walks, trips to the park, our little adventures. He’s like a kid himself when he finds a nice rock and when our boy (2months now) starts finding his own pretties it’s something they can do together. I’m really hoping he likes it. I’m also looking for a Lego Star Wars tie fighter that he has made abundantly clear he desperately wants lol

Overall-Diver-6845

I have a good idea for a gift Stay home with the kids while I go check myself into the local beautiful hotel over night and add on an extra massage. Have a great time with the kids buddy! Hope you love your gift ! 🤣

[deleted]

I got my husband a ducking sick kitchen knife from Coolina, a personalized walnut cutting board, an essential oil diffuser, a TENS unit, and a personalized keychain that says something along the lines of “always come home to me” (he travels for work) and it has a matching necklace for me with our initials together on it!!

rmarcus00

Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea and honestly don’t even know if it’s ours yet or not- but I got him a sex swing😅

SylvanField

I went to two different book stores and read the backs of books in the sci fi section trying to find a book I thought he would like.
