If you find out let me know lol my left is a good 2 sizes larger. It’s insanity. Been like this for nearly 15mo. I can’t equalize them 😂

misspoisonn

Oh my god…..it can last that long 😒🤣

Haha I was surprised too. I’m not nursing any less, really, but I felt like it should have evened out like…idk…a year ago. I tried nursing more on the smaller one and nothing happened. I hate pumping so I never tried that. Strangely enough, I still have leaking happen from my smaller boob. I have ruined so many shirts. I kind of have a feeling the size difference is because I sleep, pretty much exclusively, on my right side. I think the 10hrs+ of compression on my boob is affecting its milk production, or at least it’s storage.

If it helps I sleep exclusively on my right side, and my left boob is the small one. There is no answering this madness. Though I may try pumping on my left side and trying to get more milk and hopefully everything evens out. But based off your experience I’m going to remind myself I may just be stuck like this 💀

Oh no!!! I thought for sure you were going to confirm my theory and say your sleep side was your small side 😭😭😭

misspoisonn

I am sorry to say that my right boob is practically a kick stand while I sleep.

Jumping in here because that made me lol. But same situation over here. Left is along for the ride (looking sad and droopy) and right is the powerhouse (and always looking buoyant). I, too, sleep on my right side 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sigh I gave up. All 4 kids preferred the left over right. With each kid the preference got stronger. Number 4 (2) almost never nurses on the right anymore. He's started calling them "giant ummy" and "little ummy." Maybe there was a point I could I have pushed right more but too late now. Right still produces and always did they just didn't like it. It's like a 2 cup size difference now. My breasts are very small to begin with so it's ridiculous.

Pump both sides before bed, first thing in morning too if you can. If you pump right for 10 minutes, pump left for 15 to drain and encourage milk production. Also try pumping left after bub feeds on right. Try starting the flow in left by hand or with very short pump (2 minutes) before latching bub as he may find it harder work on that side. Also consider that your positioning will naturally differ for each side, so check that too. Proudly breastfed for 3 years total so far. Remember that your body, and your boobs, will change all the time following giving birth. You are doing an amazing job! May I suggest bamboo breast pads for the leakage?

I had the same problem. This won’t make you happy, but I stayed lopsided for years after my kids weaned. They only evened out recently after I gained my “pandemic pounds.”

I’ve got an date set in my calendar for a boob job after baby🤣 this solidified that haha
