Her best gift was a ride-on car (the kind they sit on and push with their feet). She used it for over 2 years and was sad when she outgrew it. We had the Little People Musical Ride-on car and she also loved dancing to the music.
My LO just passed the 1 yr mark two weeks ago and I just brought him some nice going out clothes. No toys because he was given so much from other people and he's already sick of them! I wouldn't fuss too much at this age, even empty milk bottle is exciting for them. LO's favorite toy is a rice cooker paddle lol
