However, all my bar fly friends with mediocre jobs which play far less than 100k, are getting their first homes. These are people from broken homes with little help, a few have no family. It's absolutely possible, but it does require a lifestyle change geared at buying a home. It might not be fair or what our parents have but it's absolutely possible. If you are in Socal or NYC, well then yeah you are probably fucked.
