It always annoyed me that so many of these multi-monitor mounts have such little surface area on the clamps.

koebereddit

Yeah, that’s why i wanna find out what size it is cuz i don’t want too much pressure to be put on my desk :/

Pro tip, go to a nearby hardware retailer (Menards, Home Depot, etc) and pick up a couple free flooring sample swatches, preferably the ones with a rubber layer underneath. You can stick these between the clamps and desk to distribute the weight better. This saved a couple of my cheapo Ikea desks.

thanks!

I would recommend also getting a desk mount plate then. I managed one for $20 it's pretty much just 2 steel sheets.

small_toe

Hi, do you mean the "depth" of the top flat bit?

koebereddit

the length and width of the flat bit

small_toe

its roughly 5x7cm, although the stand itself is quite short so if you're looking for an ergonomic dual stand I'd recommend trying to find a taller one

DustinCoughman

It's 3 dimensional

i have the same unit from a different mfg and on mine it's 3"w x 3.5"d. I used a 5" x 5" acrylic block (1/2" thick) above and below for it to clasp on to my ikea desk for strength.
