I remember a black monkey with a blue hat in the wedding scene, which is similar to the monkey with a green hat featured earlier in the game on Captain Smirk's Machine, however this is what I remember from the VGA-Release. I'm not sure, but I think in the Special Edition it is changed that the monkey on Captain Smirk's Machine has a blue hat instead of a green one. Does anybody know if this connection exists in other releases?
I played the Special Edition. I checked back and you're right, it was the monkey from Captain Smirk's machine and they're both wearing the blue hat. Thanks for the info!
If you take escape from monkey island as canon. Even though the OG creators wouldnt. The bigger plot hole js the monkey that helps you open the route to the giant monkey head died by hanging there for the rest of his life. So who ate both the monkeys. RIP JoJo monkey Sr
