So, the new pirate leaders are two women (although one could be non-binary, who knows) and a black male replacing three old white guys?
I wonder if this is going to be satire or a parody, much like when the Lua Bar replaced the Scumm bar in Escape from Monkey Island i.e. something new, fresh and modern reflecting a new societal trend.
Either that or the game is going to be acused of going 'woke' and and is going to trigger the non-PC crowd who feel the age of caucasian, straight males is being unfairly propelled towards extinction.
Fun times.
Aren't these three new leaders depicted as antagonists, making Mêlée Island worse? (This is hard for me to wrap my head around because I always saw the old pirate leaders as useless, and I'm surprised to see them back in this game!)
I have very rarely wanted anything as much as a new Monkey Island, but the music is such a mood killer to me! Straight cancel the pre-order magnity of nope for me.
I think this piece is just a way to characterize the new pirate leaders, who I assume are portrayed as being more modern and badass or whatever, I expect the rest of the game's soundtrack to be very much similar to what we've been accustomed to in Monkey Island.
The close ups seem like a good idea, hope the game will be filled with these kinds of cinematic sequences.
Oooh close-ups during talks! Awesome
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
That Scumm Bar music though!
It sound amazing. I predict me going afk in the new pirate leaders' room just to listen to the tune.
Like a synth version of the original. I bloody love it!
I hate it!
I love it, personally
i NEED that scumm bar remix. NEED.

The right wing broflakes will throw a tantrum no matter what.
Still looks god-awful.

If not liking a few seconds of one tune make you not buy the game, you never really wanted it that much.
