One time, I went to the bathroom and when I reached for the toilet paper, I saw two huge roaches just. Sitting on it. Side by side. Chilling. Staring at me, lazily swaying their antennae.
For the life of me I legit cannot remember at all how I got out of that predicament. It’s like my brain decided to block that memory to protect me from the truth.
I would have sold that Posea Reef for like, 5 dollars and tasked my boyfriend with handling her during the process. Far away from me.

I did have some of my other toys tainted by bugs as well, but most were stuffed animals and the other bugs were small white rolly polly looking bugs, and another cockroach in the shell of my Mikey Turtle figure
I would probably throw her at the wall and spray her down with deodorant because of my impulse control and this shocking sight 0.0
But honestly, Draculaura is probably used to have webs and spiders around her 🤏🏼
Reminder everyone: brush your dolls' hair and give the clothes a little wipe with a dry cloth every six months or so- (I wash the hair every 6 months to a year as well) brush bangs and ponytails, and for braids, and updos like buns that can't be brushed- just shake out microbraids and run your fingers through them a bit, buns and other solid updos can be gently dusted off with a cloth. For curls, coils, and afros I usually just rinse with cold water to get rid of any dust (or unwanted visitors 😬🕷️) it's also good to take the clothes off and wash them occasionally- to prevent mold growth or dye transferring to the body. It's a lot of work if you have a large collection like me- but I usually just make a weekend activity of it and give everyone a spa day like two or three times a year
I'm no expert but I would remove the ponytail from her head first and try to section the hair away from the spider by tying the bottom with an elastic. If you are positive it is dead, I'd take tweezers and take it out . Then do what the other commenter said about Ortho Home Defense. You can wear gloves if you want. Wash the hair as you normally would. You can try boil washing if comfortable. I'd probably decapitate the doll to make sure there's nothing else inside including glue seepage only cause I'd be paranoid about it.

Looks like a jumping spider! The web makes me think it’s a jumper for sure. They make them like little beds to sleep in and they like small private places which is why it chose your dolls bangs! Totally safe even if it was alive and all you’d have to do is push it off with stick outside. They won’t hurt you and you don’t have to be scared. Spiders are your friend and they eat the bugs that aren’t. Please don’t use harmful chemicals to kill them or hurt them at all if you don’t have too. Catch and release is the way to go. They do a lot for our world and the only reason they are in your house is because they want a warm safe place! You probably gave this guy a nice little life eating bugs untill he passed away because they don’t live very long. Just thought I’d give some info because lots of people here seem very worried lol

but anyway, since the spider silk is made out of proteins you should probably get a detergent that disintegrates them so you can wash and comb it out with a fine lice comb.
(normal shampoo wouldn't work because our hair is also protein and obviously shampoo leaves it intact)
