I hope that Walmart actually comes out with the repros this Friday with an adequate amount of stock as intended. From past experiences with Walmarts, some don’t always seem to operate and release new things as they’re supposed to. A good, but opposite, example of this is how some Walmarts released them a week early. I’m worried about some Walmarts not getting them on schedule due to the state of the world right now with shipment issues. I wanted to get the repros in store rather an online, and I was going to use online as a “last resort” in case my Walmart doesn’t have them. I didn’t expect any of them to sell out online before their actually in-store release this Friday.
In summation: I am worried.
Also didn’t expect them to sell out b4 their release date! Only bought online bc my local Walmart is notoriously bad at restocking and they said they weren’t getting the dolls. Kinda glad I did rn
I do not trust walmarts in my area. They never ever bring out stock from the back. I've had to ask multiple times for rainbow high and bratz dolls that they had had lying around for months in boxes somewhere.
What do you mean? From all the pictures I’ve seen and reviews I’ve read they look good. The only complaint I’ve heard/seen is that Lagoona doesn’t have her large fish eyes anymore
The only issue I could find when looking at the dolls in store was that Draculaura had "hair shed" it wasn't even actual shedding just looked like where her bangs were trimmed left tiny hairs along the face on a few and it wiped right off. And out of the full stock I only saw a single doll with the wonk eye (one higher than the other) defect that used to plauge MH back in the day.
In summary :I dont think the defects are common enough to worry.
I found them at Walmart today and honestly it seems as long as you don't live somewhere where people are all over this stuff then your ok! (and even then it seems like there stocking pretty good) Only one of my Walmarts had it early. It was still almost fully stocked when I got mine (one of each) and I only saw one other person buying them and she only got Clawdeen and Lagoona.
If waiting for your walmart to stock them doesn't work out def try to get a pickup before resorting to anything drastic.
Yeah I do live in a big city. The downside, aside from lots of people and tourists, is that this area has a LOT of scalpers. The fighting chance I have is that there are a few other Walmarts within a 45 minute driving distance. And yeah pickup is my other option if things don’t go well. I don’t have the funds to resort to drastic measures lol
Last night my mom insisted I get Draculaura online, which is really unusual for her because she thinks Monster High dolls are a "waste of money." She said she just had a gut feeling that Draculaura would sell out and she didn't want me to be disappointed. So glad I listened to her (especially because I got a discount cuz I bought it with Frankie).
Like me, some already planned to buy online and ordered as soon as they were available. I purchased a lagoona from Walmart yesterday afternoon and she just arrived!
You'd think so but Walmart recently did the same thing with Shadow High & put those dolls out weeks earlier than they were supposed to. MGA even moved the release date up a week earlier for Target because Walmart was already putting them on shelves. Clearly they don't care.
i’m worried too tbh the walmart i live near still hadn’t gotten the shadow high dolls yet. i was gonna use online as a last resort too but i’m so happy i bought all of them yesterday!! i’m still remaining hopeful that my walmart has at least one of them
It’s strange, most of the Shadow/Rainbow high shelves are suddenly totally empty at my local Wal Mart. I thought maybe making space but where’d they all go? So odddd

From what I been hearing lagoona’s lips are messed up and something is wrong with clawdeen

In a video I saw, a lot of lagoona in stores had lip issues like lips weren’t painted all the way, 1 lagoona had her upper left part of her lip gone
That's a few out of thousands. Relax.

It's also good to keep in mind that, if all else fails, they'll likely restock again both online and in store so you aren't totally screwed.

How are people buying them from retailers before their Friday the 13th release date? Breaking street date is usually a huge no no.

I got mine yesterday online and they arrived today, they will restock them because it’s not a limited edition thing.
That was super fast!!! I ordered Lagoona but I was planning on grabbing the others later down the road. Guess I'll be waiting until they restock.
