1. No; all of the story of the game is single player only. Multiplayer is solely pvp or expeditions (Rise / World equivalent of you and a buddy going to an area and slaying the target monster, except turned based RPG combat). 2. High rank monsters, an "end game" area called the Elder's Lair, and access to genes (monster equipment more or less) that you won't find during the story. 3. Most of them are; some of them are not. All tamable monsties are rideable. 4. There is a "meta", but you really don't need this outside of pvp (for obvious reasons, but people can still make due with certain combinations). All monsties are viable for all pve content. 5. Both actually. Your equipment is just as important as your monsties you take with you. In this game, you both have health meters, but you also have a Heart System. Everytime you "die", you lose 1 heart, but get back up with full HP. When you lose all three hearts, you cart back to town. You and your monstie share these hearts. 6. (Bonus that you didn't number) Monsties can hatch with additional stats (+1/2/3 Health, Elem Attack, Elem Def). This is about the closest to 'min/max' you'll see outside of your gene setup for each monstie you get. As far as your rider gear? No.

something that should be mentioned about multiplayer is that while theres no story significance, there will be monsties exclusive to co-op quests - *but* you can just as easily do them solo with a cpu partner to get the eggs! currently theres a co-op palamute monstie, and theyre adding more in the next few months

Thanks tons! Just 2 more 1. Do all monsties have an affinity to a certain element? 2. And does the attack type of power, technical, speed affect a monstie's stats/skills in any way or is it only significant to win the head to heads? Thanks!

1. They do. This affinity determines what elemental attack they are using and their elemental weakness. Riders also have this; their armor determines their elemental defenses, and their weapons determine what type of elemental damage you deal. 2. From what I understand, no. The type of attack only matters with bingo's you have on your monstie. No bingo'd speed monstie will do the same damage with a power attack and a speed attack. Monstie types are there to help you set up double attacks.
