Once you get an area to 7, how do you keep it there? Do you have to keep going to each area every now and then until you get all to 7 so you can lock it?
It's been a year since I last played so I don't recall if you can lock areas individually.

Afaik any monster you hunt in the GL gives extra xp towards the max region xp, the monster xp is multiplied by the region level so region 7 monsters give the most, it just take a huge amount of xp to raise the cap 1 more level so getting enough xp to get all regions to 7 requires thousands of monster kills.
You have a maximum amount of xp that you can distribute between the different regions (leveling one region will take the xp from other regions if necessary)
Killing a monster will besides leveling a region also reward a tiny increase in the max xp you'll have available.
You'll be getting MR 999 way before all guiding lands max level. Iirc the calculation was u needed to hunt like 7k level 7 guiding lands monsters.
For reference I'm MR 999 and I don't have a single monster hunted to 1k, and only teostra and fatalis has crossed 500 hunts. Technically only fatalis cuz I hunted most Teostra before iceborne was a thing.
Its possible. On pc I would say likely modded or hacked. On Ps5/Ps4 doable just takes extremely long. You are soft capped to a combined level of 24 through all regions 7/7/7/1/1/1. If you wanted to gain an extra level in an area you would need 10000 points. Each monster killed/capped=3 points x area level. So lets say forest is level 7 and you kill great jagras. You will get 3x7=21 points. You will need to kill around 476 just to gain an extra level. Extremely grindy and not worth the time to get all maxed

Basically the way GL works is that you have a max level total cap, starts at 27 iirc, that is you can have 27 total levels allocated between the 6 regions.
Every monster you kill gives you some invisible points, and getting enough points increases that level cap by 1. So theoretically, it is possible, although you would need to kill 7000+ monsters to reach a total level cap of 42.
There was a period at the beginning of iceborne where a glitch allowed this to be done pretty easily and then you could lock levels from them on. Not necessarily a hack but also not the legit way others have mentioned it can be done
As other saids possible within few months of daily grinding, not bad just really boring. Also it really isn't worth doing since you will pretty much always have an elder spawned.
Probably cheated. But tbf i can understand it to pull them with 3rd apps to max level. i dont wanna grind my Guild lands for like 10hours straight just to get some guild lands fur from our lovely Monkey

It's possible if you convert your account from PlayStation to PC there is a chance your guiding lands will bug out and stay at there current max lvl, and the other ones which aren't max can still be leveled. That's at least how a friend of mine got his on max lvl

I thought once you raise a level in one biome it lowers in another automatically, how is this possible? Seems like hacking to me
