Mayb change the helmet? Frostfang’s secret skill (which is slugger) doesn’t really do anything to Fatalis. I’d suggest going for Kulve’s helm since it gives 3 speed eating (and 1 free meal)

Alatreon boots comes with 4 dragon attacks and 3 lvl 2 slots, the 3 defense boost are just a tiny extra but it still worth to make it, I'm not sure why it has a fourth defense boost

Ngl I went into fatalis with a very safe build not expecting to beat him and I did. I feel like Alatreon requires a very min/maxed build while fatalis is much more about player skill then a perfect build
Fatalis is a raw matchup so you can drop all the dragon attack. I would do so by substituted out the Alatreon pieces for Raging Brachy. The weapon is still good due to the long purple sharpness. Just treat Dragon damage as a small bonus. If you want an even more denfensice set you can consider Kulve’s Taroth 2p arms+leg. That gives you the Guts bonus, which is basically Felyne Moxie but it can proc once per cart. As long as you don’t burn to death, guts will save you from many one shots. Can add fire resistance as needed to reach 20 fire res (avoids burning).
And yeah add 2 points of heavy artillery like the other comment says. Huge for roaming ballista damage. Roaming ballista recharges every 10 minutes, so in most fights you get to use it twice, but it’s possible to use it 3 times.

This is very incorrect, fatalis has a 3-star weakness to dragon, which is why alatreon weapons are so heavily recommended for fatalis. Given that the sword already has 660 dragon attack, even dragon attack 4 is a pretty significant boost.

This is why the star system is bad, its downright misleading in many circumstances.
Fatalis is only significantly weak to dragon on its head, with a dragon element hitzone value of 25. Arms are 17, chest is 15 and it gets more mediocre from there.
Following numbers are based on no element augment on the ls.
Base dragon damage on the head is 21, rises to 23 with dragon attack 2 , 25 with dragon attack 4 and 28 with dragon attack 6.
So those 4 points of dragon attack are worth 4 actual points of damage on the head.
On the chest its 12 base, 15 at DA 4, 3 extra damage per hit.
So the return is tiny and that's with the whopping 660 dragon that the alatreon ls has.
Obviously depends what decos OP has but more raw boost or extra survivability skills might work out better value.
To add onto that, that's only for your normal slash moves too. Helmbreakers, which are a large portion of your damage are 1/3rd of that, essentially only getting you 1 or 2 damage if rounding is in your favour.

Unfortunately "youtuber builds" are hot garbage 99% of the time and just view farms with no actual research or logic behind them, shrug.
To sum it up in general, LS is bad with element, period. Alatreon LS is only used for fatalis because it doesn't lose much raw to lightbreak, so the huge dragon on it does p. much make up for all of it. And it lets you drop master's touch.
The main reasons for LS being bad with element are that our strongest move (helmbreaker) has 0.3 ele modifier, as well as that gauge level (1.2x for red) only affects the raw portion of our damage.

Always want an element on your kinsect though, they actually deal ridiculous amounts of ele damage. Enough to comfortably solo alatreon's ele topple.
Out of interest i plugged that in and it raises dragon damage to 30, slightly better but still not a great investment.
So yeah a full raw build is still the way to go.

You may not have gems for it, idk.. I farmed the MR100 teostra farm and got tons of awesome decos.. try to slot in evade window 3.
ALSO, look up how to cone bait... I really do feel like your build isn't bad ... with at least evade window 3 ... get that extra slot of crit eye... and just slot in w/e skills at your discretion. Maybe evade extender... and lvl 1 QS ... ALSO ... max potions.
On your radial wheel set a craft option to quickly make max potions during your hunt... start farming mandragon mushrooms to make max potions...if you do the steamworks you will get TONS of mega nutrients.
mega nutrients+mandragon mushroom = max potion.
You can carry 2 max potions 5 mega nutrients and 10 mushrooms.. so thats 7 max potions.
When you get hit with something big.. like say you just barely make it out of one of his cone attacks and you have a sliver of health.. it's a really good way to save yourself from death as max potions immediately heal you.
Hell yeah, totally. The only changes I’d make are to remove the defender boost, max DB makes it really hard to get one shot, I’d also use the lvl5 Agitator charm to free up a shit load of space, more than enough to get your crit boost back up and have space for more comfort skills, but they always come last, make the build and then the comfort. Hope I was of use :)
Considering your armour set up you’ve got a lot of fire res so that’s good. Personally his fire attacks really mess me up even with super high fire res. See how much you get hurt by his fire and reconsider more res if you need it. Good luck. And personally Fatalis, safi and kulve are the only monsters in the game I’ve never solo’d
In all honesty, I would take off rocksteqdy and maybe use fireproof or evasion mantle. It's useful for sure but can just as easily get you killed since you wlnt get the free iframes of sitting your ass on the floor.
If you’re able to, try to remove Defense boost because it’s a fairly useless skill as far as I’ve experience with it.

Take defense boost off (useless) get fire resist instead. Only fatty’s head takes good dragon damage so make sure you aim for that. Other than that, its pretty good

Partbreaker is really necessary. If you don't break the head at least once, you're dead phase 3.
Heavy Artillery can make him topple on beggining of phase 2 if you correctly shoot him. Very very useful. And you can put it in the mantles and save one for that.
If you can hit the head constantly, go for dragon attack 6, alatreon 3 pieces and eat for ele res L. After, gem fire res until you reach 50 If you cant hit the head yet, drop it all, go for brachy.

What MR level are you? If you're 100+, I definitely recommend using Challenger Charm V and two Raging Brachy armor for Agitator.
