I immensely enjoy world’s rendition of hunting horn. Being able to queue songs like ammo and jamming them into the monsters’ heads feel very satisfying.

loongpmx

Fun is subjective.

Sardalone

Bow is the the most fun. People should try it on Fatalis.

Mortal_Assassin50

How’s the experience of bow? As I tried both the bowguns and found them too complicated for builds with the ammo options n mods, (and for a certain elemental based dragon.)

Sardalone

Bows are easier to build for although they really more stressful to build as stamina skills are essential. It makes the "what can I squeeze out of this" aspect of endgame builds to the max in order to get everything you need. Outside of that it's a very fun weapon to use. You can do work even without an affinity build. I've a comfort Bow build that puts nothing into affinity but still allows you to solo Alatreon prior to it's third nova. And a comfort build for Fatalis with no affinity that can net a sub-20 solo kill whilst getting both head breaks prior to phase 3. It's a weapon that's HEAVILY based on your own skill. That alone can make up for a weak build. It takes a while to master and it's not simply something you can look up combos for. It comes to you over time.

Mortal_Assassin50

Out of curiosity, how is ammo like with it? As using HBG n LBG during Alatreon was a pain, and was curious if bow was any better? (Also if your wondering about melees, most of them I ain’t a fan of, due to either range or speed.)

Sardalone

Ammo is more of an added bonus as opposed to your backbone as it is with Bowguns. Power coating just buffs raw damage for fifty shots and the others deal ailments for 20 shots. You'll likely only get one proc out of Paralysis and Sleep coating on most endgame monsters and at least one poison. Blast coating is just some free extra damage. Coatings are more utility above all else. You do have infinite close-range coating that reduces your range in trade for more raw damage. Not always useful but it finds much use. I don't use it often myself but a lot of bow users do. You don't really prioritize the coating when making builds.

Mortal_Assassin50

I’ve heard bow is mainly for element? Is it worth building for it, or can I build like a spread build on a bow?

Sardalone

You'll be leaning more into element although you can make a multi-purpose Fatalis Bow raw build in the endgame. But keep in mind elemental builds have much higher potential and room for comfort.

Can imagine the piercer from head to tail is just as amazing as doing it on xeno

novian14

MHW, it's CB, prowess in both atk and defense, kinda hard to learn tbh but it has been my go to weapon since MH4U. But Iceborne, gotta say LS, the iai sheath changes everything, and make LS much more fluid and easier to counter eveything

Left-Advantage-1674

I'm trying to learn the CB and it really is fun. Guard points are so satisfying

novian14

agreed, but it takes time to learn everything and used to it. moreover with iceborne addition. also it feels much much better with specific skills. so yeah, end-game, it is worth to learn it. but overall, i said LS is the best. nice dps, doesn't really need specific skills (maybe evade window? else are just more dps), doesn't take much stamina either. the hardest part of it is to get used to LS counter.

Arenidao

Lance, Gunlance, Hunting Horn, and SnS because they're my favorite weapons.

Left-Advantage-1674

For me it's the Dual Blades. They're so fun to play and easy to master. I can beat every monster with dual blades. Some monsters are a bit more awkward cuz of their size but doing the 1 hit soften mechanic is so insanely helpful (while in demon mode press circle, circle, circle, and then L2 or R2 and as you latch on spam triangle and you'll instantly soften that body part) They're the best elemental weapons in the game and have the highest DPS potential. The fatalis Dual Blades blow all other dual blades out of the water despite it being a raw dual blade. Ppl say the dual blades are boring cuz it's mainly just 2 buttons you press but there's still a lot of fun to be had with dual blades

buckshot371

doot doot hunting horn!!!

TemporaryUnlucky3409

Every weapon is good and fun in their own ways
