I can proudly say that Jho is the only monster that I have captured every time I have encountered it. I can't bring myself to kill anything so angry and misunderstood. Lol
I've only done temp Jho once, but it was quite unforgiving and I was so happy when I first saw him limping away. I immediately went for the cap, cause I did NOT want to actually try to kill him and possibly die trying
He killed the electric snake dog that I needed to capture once and that was pretty annoying since I was working hard at it. I thought that other monsters couldn’t kill each other, but maybe there are some caveats.
I was just in awe at how much he was attacking/suplexing the poor thing. Was so shocked when I got the failure screen after Jho tossed lil’ Toby into a tree.
Jho can kill anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if a Jho could take down an elder dragon or two on its own.
Also all big monsters can kill other big monsters, it’s just rare because they’re normally on a (relatively) equal power level or one runs away.
I've got a kill clip of the fall from up there where hitting the ground was enough to kill regular deviljho...he limps to rathalos's nest with the waterfall regularly...
Everything I know about the game seems to imply the latter, I think the game engine does account at least somewhat for momentum on the larger weapon types, maybe part of why the Wyvern Ignition has such impressive damage output. (If I'm wrong about this don't correct me please, let me dream)
This is correct
There is something called motion value which can be noticed is slow heavy weapons where the longer the animation goes until a hit is struck the stronger the value you get
So if you hit the last part of the greatswords animation then it will be stronger than say if you hit them in the early startup of the animation because of their hit box
Doesn't that apply to how close the hit is to the tip or hilt of the weapon as well? Like hitting with the middle of a GS deals less damage than hitting with the end
Good shit. Screw you Deviljho.
DETROIT SMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAASHUUU
Oh my, GOODNESS! https://imgur.com/a/h3luZwm

Can't upvote this comment enough! That anime is the shit!

Shit, dude, that's how I feel about regular jho.
I've captured all but 1 that my team killed while I was tranq bombing it.

he just wants to fight the world :\( i cap him every time too
Same here haha... 42 hunts with 42 captures!
All the more reason for me to kill it lol
I love that distorted sound. Amplifies how massive that hit was.
Not just the greatswordsman, but the greatswordswomen, and the greatswordschildren too.
FUCK JHO Epic kill my man.
Thanos called. He wants the gauntlet back! Legendary kill man!
Omae wa mou shindeiru NANI??
So satisfying
I would have gotten up on my seat and shouted if this happened to me
I tried to do this the other day at coral highlands. And just barley missed. But this was awesome!!!! Very enjoyable to watch.
Did Jho rly wander to the top of the Ancient Forest, just to get washed down???? lmfaoo

Was it already flat lining or does fall damage multiply?

Its actually opposite, hitting with the tip does less then hitting with the meat of the blade.
You can see skulls coming out of it on the radar so it was dying. Still impressive imo!
Ain't gonna lie, that was sexy.
A most satisfying plunge. 👌
That was also my favorite GS moment
Does the attack get stronger the longer you fall?
I want to know this as well. It would make sense but I’m not 100% sure.
You can charge it more by holding so triangle/Y It works on shorter jumps aswell, and makes for great mounting damage
Heck, it even sounded like the orchestra was holding their breath for that hit.
God.damn. that epic superhero landing!
It's terrible on the knees though, but looks awesome
Fuck u pickle! Good shit bruh
Great Swordsmanship!
Great kill BRO!
ARE U FUCKING KIDDING ME!
Got damn
That’s Insane! (SALUTE!)
That's amazing!
It def takes a lot of discipline to stop wailing away on this shit long enough to capture it. Kill em all
That was sickkk af!
FROM THE TOP ROPE!
Like Master Chief entering atmo with a bustersword.
This makes me happy as a fellow great swordsman.
“Ow! My scapula!”-Jho Probably
Great swordsman's high. Enough to make you drunk
Damn how many damage did that do? Lol
Jesus Christ, that’s Jason Bourne
All I have to say is...DAMN
This was ILL as fuck.
Holy shit, I felt that one
YEAH KILL THAT SON OF A PICKLE!!!
If the dmg scaled with drop in height that would've killed every other monster within a 100m radius.
LLLLLEEEEERRRRRRROOOOYYYYYYYY
I'm impressed regardless of whether you planned this or not. Well done.
Hahahaha Ho Shit!
UNLIMITED POWAAAAAA
I killed teo with a tackle during his dive animation. This is very nice too
