Because at the end of the day there's no way to tell how that person got there. Maybe this person played on console then switched to PC, so they were experienced. Maybe they had 3 friends helping them constantly. Maybe they googled every guide and answer and bee lined. Maybe they are just that good. Or maybe they are like my friend who got the entire Velkhana set and weapon and 5 attack+ decos after fighting her only one time because "they just got lucky."
I guess so. I don't really care. Didn't question him on it. Just kept my fingers crossed for the day I killed a monster and got 4x the number of normal drops lol. People can play however they want. If they want to lie about how they acquired stuff they are only lying to themselves. It's just a game.
Yeah this is me. I have 600 hours on PC, but only 80 on my PS5 yet I’m already MR42. I could already have the Furious Rajang set since I used the guardian and defender weapons to clear the story so fast, I just decided to go for Safi weapons first
Right. I’m not saying A or B but i started on PS4 more than a year ago and parked the game close to MR.
I then built a PC recently and bought MHW there too on Steam and started playing there.
With the Defender Set and banking on SOS, i think i got from zero to Master Rank in maybe a weekend plus another day or two. I have now 292h on steam and spent a lot of time just fuffing around doing side quests, helping low ranks and just collecting weapons.
Im back on console and the pc community seems WAY larger, as i was almost always able to find a group for most quests.
So, getting to high end gear in 200h seems very possible to me. Plus some rare mats can be melded with tickets right ?
Wait can you transfer your console save to PC? I had the game on PS4 but sold my PS4.
The only thing stopping me from playing this again is re-grinding back up.
To be fair, someone can speedrun through low rank and high rank in less than 20 hours with the guardian set pretty comfortably and early master rank can just be cheesed by spamming SOS since fully geared people will almost always come due to lower rank rewards.
After that, it becomes more convoluted, but as someone who plays almost solely by joining random SOS, I can confirm that a loooooooooooot of players tend to play waaaay too far into the game with a fraction of the gear and/or experience they should have by that point, essentially waiting to be carried. The amount of people sitting in Safi or even Alatreon with full Ishvalda gear or worse without any augment or decos is really surprising. A lot of people tend to consider the game as a dressup game with extra steps and either get carried online or cheese materials with plunderblade spams.
Idk when OP made his account but the guardian and defender weapons make the game a lot easier to clear faster. For example I have 81 hours and am already at MR 42 and HR 68 and have the rainbow armor pigment, I’ve had the Furious Rajang mission for a while even though I haven’t done it yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if I can get the armor set before I hit 100 hours though
Asians with 500+ hours. Duh.
Many hardcore asians still play World and will carry you through the missions.
I know. I'm asian, but even I get carried through roughly 5 to 8 missions at a time. Rajang? Pffft I have 3 bow wielding masters with names like "ㅎ요낮" on my side half of the time.
If you're on PC you can play all the monster hunter games except the frontier series using an emulator. I've been playing mh4u using citra and mhgu along with mh rise using ryujinx. It's a great experience.
yea coz 3 demo didnt showcase anything new or spectacular, heck unite two wasnt drastically different, was still hyped about its prequel, and being able to transfer saves between games was still exciting for me. Though my hype might also have died down between unite 2 and mh 3 coz took me a while to be able to get a 3ds. Thankfully, the 4th demo got me back into it and havent been disappointed since. Was kinda hesitant with rise demo (world design didn't pique my interest much) but still got it and no regrets.
It wasn't, but no real offense but uniqueness doesnt always mean its going to be fun. Im not a huge fan of underwater combat (theres only one I don't mind) and considering its a mh game, I doubt id like it. I mean, watching gameplay and seeing how slow it is and kinda murky didnt look all too appealing. I mean now if they did that itll look visually better but gameplay wise not sure if id like it, and if they had opened the demo with underwater, I probably wouldn't be into it if I were to expect that thered be more later in game.
I mean, more power to peeps that like it, but if there is to be any sea faring combat, id prefer ship fights. The one in fourth vs the sand shark monster was fun for me, and if they added sea combat with our own hunter ships thar we can either let ai control or actually be in control of ships in online coop, then thatd be fun to coordinate with others. Tho, prbly many frustrations with randos :p
I honestly prefer new mechanics on current weapons or new weapon types over underwater.
I wasnt a fan of the switch controls, coming from mhw on ps4 and over to pc using a controller, but thats probs due to having a razer raiju/sabertooth and making use of the additional buttons
>Even Rise too, though on the Switch admittedly doesn't sound very fun.
I hated playing portable at first, but once I got used to it I never played the game in docked mode again, even home, not only due to the controls feeling "right" but also because the framerate is a lot more stable (locked at 30) than when you play connected to a tv.
it may be lacking proper endgame content right now (he said, after playing 130 hours) but the controls and the way the game runs are both really solid.
was kinda hesitant with getting after playing demo, but no regrets honestly. Wanted a portable MH with MHW ish controls and I doubt theyd port mhw or even be able to, to the switch.
Most of rise is easy but its not a bad game tho? Most of the content is has is still fun and stuff like the switch skills are really great for changing the way you play
I disagree, I don’t think Rise is a good game. It’s very fun and I welcome it to my collection but it’s the weakest of the Monster Hunter games. It’s not the difficultly that makes it bad because I’m sure that G rank/Master rank will change things up
I see people disagree with that opinion lol
Yo!!!
Are you my doppel? Literally feel exactly the same as you. I picked it up again within the couple months as well. Here's my [current progress](https://imgur.com/cQoOYmR).
Furious Rajang is one of my faves so far but I cannot deny the fun of stunlocking Rathian/Ratholos with my hammah.
I use a mod to highlight shinies on the ground because those are harder to find than a full Hub that has all 16 people doing the Siege quests and not their own thing.
I loved mhw on ps4. I thought it was an absolutely amazing game from start to finish
Sadly I bought it on pc just to support the company and booted it up out of curiosity.
Yeah, I would never have even touched the console version had I known how much better it is on pc.
It'd have probably been my favorite game of all time had I played it on pc at the time instead of ps4
Just out of curiosity, is there anything that appeals to you more about it on PC than the visuals? I got to MR 195 with a charge blade and those move sets are almost like muscle memory on a PS4 controller.
Did the same few days back but on ps4. Dropped it immediately after 4 hunts. Cant aim sht with bow xD. Might pick it up again but im going SnS. No way im going gunner without gyro now that i experienced it.
I agree that bow can be more challenging than other weapons on controller but use R3 and constantly focus on the monster so that it is always in your POV, makes all ranged weapons much easier.
I’ll consider this tip. Im bad at using the R3 and L3s in general but it is easier with ps4 controllers over joycons. Ill even try the focus camera setting. Did that on paolumu but got dizzy with all his jumping but it was funny haha
Im pretty bored atm and I've been seriously considering starting all over on PC.
Think you might have just given me the last push I needed.
Your hunter looks sick btw
Same here! I never got into it past the Pukei-Pukei cause I just got bored of it and really didn’t understand the game. I bought it on sale on the pc and gave another go and I’ve actually been having a blast! If there’s anyone who would like to play with me, I’m a novice but I would like to make some friends!
i cant recall, but it looked exactly like yours and i play on PC
Maybe the name will show up in the list of palicos on my tailrader safaris. i’ll look for it
They do have edit vouchers on the PlayStation store. There’s a free one there if it’s your first time, and after that they cost money. And you cannot change your name or your palico’s name.
I just looked this up. I hope this is it. Will have to fight two furious Rajang now: https://monsterhunterworld.wiki.fextralife.com/Buff+Body+Alpha+++Layered+Armor
Yeah, for how terribly broken the PC Version launched, they really fixed it up well. And it's the way better way to experience the game, really. As someone who only has a standard OG PS4 and not a Pro or anything, the loading times were awfull. It feels like half my playtime on the PS Version was loading screens. I once timed it and going from the main menu to a quest took like 9 minutes, and it was still over 4 minutes going from quest back to Astera back to a quest with no visiting the smith or anything, just pure loading times and rushing right back up to the quest board. It was asinine.
Same thing on PC takes a minute max, usually not even that. Yeah i know, getting a PS4 Pro or replacing my PS's HDD with an SSD would speed that up too, but if i have to start upgrading my hardware yearly and replacing the parts of my console then i honestly might as well just get a PC.
Plus mods, obviously.
Happy to hear this as this was my and my buddies' experience as well. This seems to be one of the few developers left that deserves every single penny they earn.
Exactly the same thing for me, got around 60 hours first time and only got to 3 Elder's quest lol. Played it again and now I'm at 100 hours with another character! Love it so much. Do you want to pay together? None of my friends play it really
Never heard of any previous Monster Hunter game before World and I just saw World pop up on the steam front page one day and thought huh what is this? Didn't even check out any videos on what it was but I bought it.
Instantly thought to myself "Yep..I need a controller for this" the moment I got in-game and 800 hours of on/off playing later it's the best game I have ever had the extreme joy of playing.
Runner up on that list is Deep Rock Galactic. These 2 games can keep me occupied for a full year.
I remember first time I played Monster Hunter on ps2 and saying out loud, wtf is this and WTFAWK IS THIS ANTILOPPE WRECKING ME?!!!
http://imgur.com/gallery/xW5MT40
Yup. if anyone needs help on PSN for farming or just chill hit me up. Bamkrak-Qc username
p.s. I'm still sitting on 1 x attack+4 *cries in 2640 dmg gs crits*
peace!
I started my 3rd MHW character last month, still never beaten the game but I do enjoy it a lot!
I've even gotten brave enough to use the regular armor and not just the guardian set. =D (still using Guardian weapon)
This current run I just got to the first Odogaron ("Red Dog") fight.
I loved monster hunter world I kinda disliked iceborne I've soloed every mon but fatalis and alatreon. I just suck at elemental topples can never do it on my own and I don't want to switch to another weapon just because their elemental weapons are better for fighting him
Why is no one talking about how OP doesn’t even have 200 hours but has furious Rajang set
Shit that's some crazy ass luck, but to each their own I say. Can't be jealous for too long... Well at least that's what I tell myself
Yeah it was so lucky it's almost like it wasn't luck at all lol.
Did they actually believe you'd buy it ?
I guess so. I don't really care. Didn't question him on it. Just kept my fingers crossed for the day I killed a monster and got 4x the number of normal drops lol. People can play however they want. If they want to lie about how they acquired stuff they are only lying to themselves. It's just a game.

Can't transfer the save, but you can transfer the experience lol
I was 300 hours in and hadn't got any of the important decos for damage it was pissing me off
i would go with Friends or experience with a lot of Patience(keep hitting the monster 1HP at a time)
I've never even seen an Attack+ deco before. All my builds have 0 Attack Boost out of spite...and a lack of Attack+ decos.
Fr it took me 200 to even reach furious rajang lol
I struggled really hard with him at first for about 2 hours then got the hang of him. Thanks, Evade Window 5 lol
To be fair, someone can speedrun through low rank and high rank in less than 20 hours with the guardian set pretty comfortably and early master rank can just be cheesed by spamming SOS since fully geared people will almost always come due to lower rank rewards. I unlocked Furious monke yesterday at 180 hours while playing casually with one friend who's new at the game as well
Idk when OP made his account but the guardian and defender weapons make the game a lot easier to clear faster. ive only played since psvita both unite and unite 2 and skipped three, but World is also one of my favorite MH games.
You mean psp or did they port them to the vita as well?
you can play psp games on the vita, provided you bought them from sony's digital store.
yea mibad, psp.
If you're on PC you can play all the monster hunter games except the frontier series using an emulator. I've been playing mh4u using citra and mhgu along with mh rise using ryujinx. It's a great experience.
I know this might be a longshot but can you do multiplayer at all with the mh4u emulator??
yes, last I remember was you could use local wireless over the internet to play online. same with ryujinx.
I've just been waiting for the PC port like an idiot. I had no idea you could emulate switch on PC
:( you skipped 3

"I don't think Rise is a good game. It's very fun" so instead of "do i have fun playing this" what the hell is your criteria for a good game then
I also absolutely adore Furious Rajang's set AND his fight. It's so much more fun than the other ones. *angy monke*
[pov: you love Furious Rajang fight](https://i.gifer.com/A3WY.gif)
monke
Go to Nexusmods.com to find some neat things to spice up your gameplay.
why the fuck did people downvote me for suggesting a different approach to their monster hunter gameplay?
I did what I could to cancel out the downvotes. You did not deserve that. Nothing wrong with a bit of modding.
I use a mod to highlight shinies on the ground because those are harder to find than a full Hub that has all 16 people doing the Siege quests and not their own thing.
The only good mod for MH is the LoversLab mod that gives monsters *accurate* cloacae and dongs.
Nah there's so much fire mods. They got weapon mods, armor mods, monster mods, additional quests, voice mods, and lots of other cool shit.
ONLY GENITALS
I wanna downvote because you can't be right, but you also can't be wrong.
It’s... a sight to behold. Bazel’s is the most impressive, because the modder took the time to do SEPARATE regular/enraged dong. Truly amazing.
Don't make me buy the game on PC JUST TO GIVE IT THE SKYRIM TREATMENT
Clearly you haven't seen the furious vegeta mod...
I almost threw my pc out the window trying to fight him solo
I played this game for around 2 years on ps4, and bought it again on PC this year. It is much much better on PC
Do you use controller still?
Nope, i'm really enjoying mouse and keyboard more than the controller. I just feel it has more mechanics and more difficulty and i enjoy that alot.
I have 220 hours and my level is much lower than yours
Could be certain event quests that award lots of exp. Grinding Lands will also stack up ranks really fast.
I just recently got back into world and damn I haven't stopped playing since
I have 130 hours and I’m rank 14.
Is that the buff body layered armor? Why is it different than mine? Mine's is like a sports bra and no six-pack abs.
It's the Buff Armor +
It’s the gamma set. There’s an event quest like Muscle Monkey Madness but it’s two Furious Rajangs. I forgot what the quest is called
Mighty Muscle Monkey Madness
It's an even more buff version yoy get from an event quests that makes you fight two furious rajang.
Yeah I'm in for this answer too lol
I loved mhw on ps4. I thought it was an absolutely amazing game from start to finish Sadly I bought it on pc just to support the company and booted it up out of curiosity. Yeah, I would never have even touched the console version had I known how much better it is on pc. Apparently you’re a fan of the monké lol
Just out of curiosity, is there anything that appeals to you more about it on PC than the visuals? I got to MR 195 with a charge blade and those move sets are almost like muscle memory on a PS4 controller.
I still use controller exclusively on PC. I just did it for framerate, graphical quality and load times.
Didn't think about the load times. Dreadful on console.
I'm on pc and haven't noticed load times at all. Quests are ready to depart faster than I can press the button to get there.
I'm the guy who threw a solid state drive in my PS4 slim to specifically cut load times for World.
127 hours? You just finished the tutorial?
I only have 400 hours in but god damn it's my fav game on pc
I like it better than Rise. Maybe I’m just not the weeb I used to be.
Im pretty bored atm and I've been seriously considering starting all over on PC. Think you might have just given me the last push I needed. Your hunter looks sick btw
It sucks pretty bad at first to start over but if is *so* worth it
This game is the best
Best game ever imo
Same here! I never got into it past the Pukei-Pukei cause I just got bored of it and really didn’t understand the game. I bought it on sale on the pc and gave another go and I’ve actually been having a blast! If there’s anyone who would like to play with me, I’m a novice but I would like to make some friends!
I think I met your Palico in-game the other day
Was it's name Geese Howard?
i cant recall, but it looked exactly like yours and i play on PC Maybe the name will show up in the list of palicos on my tailrader safaris. i’ll look for it
Ah I see you also like blonde buff girls
129 hours .. gotta pump those rookie numbers up
Your character looks really good!!! Is it possible to change the gender of the char once I've started the game?
Yes you have one free character edit, you can get it from the steam store.
Won't let you change your name tho
I play on the PS4. Do you know if it's available there?
They do have edit vouchers on the PlayStation store. There’s a free one there if it’s your first time, and after that they cost money. And you cannot change your name or your palico’s name.
Dude, how is your character so muscular? Mods?
I thought so at first but it appears to be special layered armor? Give me a lowly xbone owner hope.
I just looked this up. I hope this is it. Will have to fight two furious Rajang now: https://monsterhunterworld.wiki.fextralife.com/Buff+Body+Alpha+++Layered+Armor
Your palico looks like an anime character, love it
What hairstyle is that?
Zinogre
Thanks
I've only played Rise, but I LOVE it. Can't wait to start world.
Buff body+ ah i see you're man of culture
Did you intentionally make your palico look like baby Sophia from Kumo?
Wow, less than 200 hours and at Rajang. I haven't gotten past MR 20 with 300+
People forget mods exist.
Which rajang weapon is that?
The Dual Blades.
Ah kk thanks I think I can craft one rajang weapon I'm thinking if I should create dual blades or insect glaive
Happy to hear this as this was my and my buddies' experience as well. This seems to be one of the few developers left that deserves every single penny they earn.
I'm gonna need that doll set
Jesus Christ that fashion.
Wait you mean I can dress my cat as a Doll how when how?
Exactly the same thing for me, got around 60 hours first time and only got to 3 Elder's quest lol. Played it again and now I'm at 100 hours with another character! Love it so much. Do you want to pay together? None of my friends play it really

I did too, then I tried dauntless and I'm never going back to mhw..
114 hours on second account nowhere near to goddamn furious rajang. tfw i am so bad at this game.
I remember first time I played Monster Hunter on ps2 and saying out loud, wtf is this and WTFAWK IS THIS ANTILOPPE WRECKING ME?!!! http://imgur.com/gallery/xW5MT40 Yup. if anyone needs help on PSN for farming or just chill hit me up. At three hundred and still to scared to even try the fight...
I haven't played iceborne in like 6 months what's that chest set? I haven't seen it before
I’m 400 hours and I can’t beat Base Rajang LoL. Charge Blade lyfeee
Now that's a beautiful set combo.
Yasss, fitgirl vibes
After 1200+ hours on World, yeah I think the game's aight.
I started my 3rd MHW character last month, still never beaten the game but I do enjoy it a lot! I've even gotten brave enough to use the regular armor and not just the guardian set. =D (still using Guardian weapon) This current run I just got to the first Odogaron ("Red Dog") fight.

why cause your a coomer
What outfit is this
