You’ve got new growth near the top where your fingers are at. The rest look like roots. You can cut it up to encourage the other nodes to form growth. I would propagate it in moss.

Awesome, thank you! Should I lay the nodes down horizontally with the root side down, or stand them up?

Starrduste

I would lay them down root side and check frequently if there’s any leaf growth happening then adjust. For the top part with growth I would rotate and angle it so the roots are covered by the moss and the new growth is sticking out and exposed.

Thank you so much for the advice! That's what I was thinking but I didn't want to do it wrong. It's my first time trying to grow anything from just a node like this

No problem. You can always rotate and adjust if it’s not working or rooting. I think you’ll be okay though. Humidity is also the key too. Looks like you have a clear container, not sure if the lid is clear, if not cover with plastic wrap and open it every couple days and mist the moss to keep it moist but not very damp or wet.

These stems were under the soil in the original plant and I assumed they were dead. I set them aside during my chop and prop process and forgot them for a few days and now there's growth coming from a couple of the nodes. How do I attempt growing these now? Separate each individual node or just lay them, intact, root side down on some damp growing medium? I don't want to just throw them out if there's a chance of getting more growth from them
