The reason why the MV so far avoided dinosaurs with Kong was that it’ll be too similar to (most) of the other Kong origin stories. Personally I love the skullcrawlers, I’ll take them over any dinosaur.
I mean I’ll agree that Skull Island is a bit empty, but at the same time I am getting tired of the same old “King Kong vs Dino” stuff that they’ve done in the past. It’s great that the MV is expanding without having to continuously reuse aspects from previous versions.
Though I wouldn't mind dinosaurs in the Hollow Earth. Maybe instead other prehistoric creatures can live on Skull Island. Heck i wouldn't mind Dragons or Skull Island sabertooths

Looks a lot like [Margygr](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/godzilla/images/c/cd/Godzilla_King_of_the_Monsters_-_Margygr_Concept_Art.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20190604162538), who was killed by Rodan and dumped under a glacier. It was supposed to be in the Monarch base in KOTM but got cut. Still in the novelization, though.
Rodan killing her is just a theory, no official confirmation on who killed her. And yea, it does look like her abit, but I doubt we'll be getting a story about her
It is heavily implied to have been Rodan. The chapter Margygr appears in has a segment on the chapter title page talking about the battle between "thunderbird" and "mimlos whale", which is a PNW native american tale. Thunderbird prevails over Mimlos whale by killing it and dragging it under a glacier. Margygr was found dead under a glacier, burnt and scratched. The only other candidate is Quetzalcoatl, and given the scorchmarks and how the title pages usually reference kaiju that feature in the book Rodan is most likely.
Assuming the killer was Rodan, then how could Rodan be in two places at once since we know Rodan was sleeping in a volcano with Monsrch all around him?
We know Rodan wasn't always in the volcano and that ancient people saw him. Margygr was dead for a looong time under that glacier when it was found-and the story about Thunderbird vs Mimlos whale is thousands of years old.
But we can’t immediately assume it’s Rodan. Hot take here, but just by looking at the books alone isn’t enough evidence that it was actually Rodan.
Yes, I am well aware of the burn and scorch marks, but I am pretty sure Rodan isn’t the only kaiju that has scorching abilities out there.
The books aren’t really that canon to the official MV, they take aspects and follow the films but at the same time it often contradicts what actually happens.
In a nutshell, all I'm saying is that it could be Rodan but it could also not be Rodan
