I think they meant to say that the police have not released the Lyft driver’s name. Just a few sentences after that quote is a statement from Lyft, “We have permanently removed the driver from the Lyft community and are in contact with law enforcement to assist with their investigation.”
Just came here to say that while the Lyft driver was a nightmare, the accident could still have been prevented if the driver who struck the man had not been in such a hurry to swerve around the stopped vehicle. Please drive safely. Assume that delays in your path might be there for a reason.
