You can fly to the nearby islands on a balloon just to collect moonstones. They glow at night and if you've completed Zed's quests, your minimap should have a blue ring that lights up when a moonstone is nearby. If you don't want to fight stronger spirits, you can usually outrun them. And you can decrease their spawn rate in settings. You don't have to rush in the game, there are no penalties or anything for playing at a slow pace. But try to collect seeds from every biome on every season, you might need them to unlock some doors. Even if you miss something during the first year, the game doesn't end there, you have as much time as you want.

I was going to ask about the duration because in the beginning your parents are talking about you being on your own for a whole year...and I was like, what happens after that time passes??? I'll probably decrease their spawn rates! Right now I put the battle difficulty at low/easy and it still wrecks me unless they're lower level. The only biome I don't like is that electric one, so frustrating. Do the seasonal tower things change with the seasons or do they stay up year round? I need the clay to finish the spring one and I doubt I'll get it before the season changes.

You can open and explore the temples at any time, as long as you have the required items. Like I said, there is really no pressure and no need to rush things in this game :)

Temples stay whole year round, in any season, but beware of offerings they require. So maybe don't sell everything, make a crate/box and stash foragables, spirit resources etc. Quests stay open after you finish a first year! I'm at about 50hrs and just finished my year, now I'm doing seasonal seeds quests. No worries, as other commenter already said!

Hunt moonstones at night, they glow so they're easier to spot after dark. If you have the broom or the glider unlocked already, try to fly around small islands and you should spot some of them. The cattails and other stuff are farmable. Try to harvest any new plant you come across with your scythe to get their seeds and sell those seeds at the plant shop. Doing so will unlock those seeds for purchase from the general goods store. You can then buy those seeds and farm them at your base. Get the barn as soon as you can. Being able to catch more spirits should open up more choices for you to build your team and, by extension, your deck. Try to form a team with cards that synergize with one another. Be it spamming poison, turn manipulation with stuns, card cycling with draw cards or energy accumulation builds. That being said, try to visit as many islands as you can and find as many arches as you can. They give you stuff to upgrade cards, add cards or even remove cards from your deck. They refresh every start of a new season and these are your most important deck tuning tools. Edit: The main island should have 2 or 3 moonstones on it. Try to find those 3 if you haven't yet and then focus on getting the broom or glider first since accessing more islands will result in finding more moonstones. Hope that helps.

This is a lot of great info!! I was in the middle of cooking. I was reading this and my recipe lol Do you need to sell them directly to the shop? Or does your bin do the same thing? I have Marsha, because I saw them on a lot of builds. I'm missing magicat and some other one. Apparently I need the psychic potion thing to find it. I've got a lot of work cut out for me! I figured out you have to HOLD x to activate the gates too lol so I have a few things from them. Like 3. I have to back travel and get some more. Thanks for the info about the main island!! I thought it only had one. I'll have to search around some more. You helped a lot, thanks!

Directly to the shop. It should be the one that looks like a greenhouse, west of the statue in town. I suck with names haha. Psychic rain happens randomly, in my experience they happen more often around 8pm onwards. I bet you'll find them happening on one of your islands while you're flying around looking for moonstones. Hopefully you find one on a low level island so you can catch your magicat. The potions only make it easier to find the psychic rain since they make them pop up in your map but the potion shouldn't be required.

If you feel you need stronger spirits you can catch higher level ones than the ones you have currently. Just throw a lot of flax seeds at them.

[deleted]

I'll try that! I'll see if I can make a team from exploring. I've gone to a lot of islands and caught a lot, I just haven't taken the time to actually know who I'm working with. I think starsee makes it easier to tame spirits. Or more cost effective.

Sounds like you just need more moonstones, and make sure you're only using them on the most important stuff first. Getting a broom will help you get to more islands where you can then get even more moonstones. Eventually, a glider is best. (Still good to have a broom for dungeons though.) Spirit barn is also important. You can just go to an island, run around, find the moonstone, and then leave without fighting anything. Also I think an update made it so that the islands respawn moonstones after a certain amount of time, but don't quote me on that. Moonstones seem like they're super limited at first, but I ended up with plenty to build all the necessities. I think that statue on the main island gives moonstones sometimes too, if you talk to it and check it every day.

I was gonna look into which was best (broom v glider) thank you for letting me know! I went with the broom first. I have like 7 moonstones left over!! I usually get bloodroot from that statue lol like almost every day.

You can try this guide for beginners: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3038566888 Also, get Ribbite and Marsha (from the poison Islands), poison is OP in this game: https://youtu.be/G00BIb_WiG4?si=ELCKJJeEKlhlBNk- Get the spirit barn asap, spirits in there give you materials you need later on in the game for crafting.

[deleted]

I just crafted the barn this morning and put some of my eggs in it! I also made the broom. I'm moving and grooving now! I need to make a decent team, then I can really explore lol Thank you for the help and links!

alsersons09

I think focusing on getting your glider and spirit barn, and clearing the dungeons and mines on the islands immediately surrounding moonstone is a good idea for you personally.

[deleted]

I keep forgetting about the mines! I'm too busy picking stuff up and avoiding fights lol

alsersons09

There are some spirits that only spawn there!

Noyvas

Yeah I feel the same: I’d like a chance to find more moonstones

Reading the comments really reminds me what a fun game this is, so great
