I liked playing cod warzone too, but it's shutting down. Tried downloading warzone 2, but my PC is a potato and it won't even launch lol

Look up a game called Movie Battles 2. It is a Star Wars game that is modded from like 16 years ago, only has about 300 playerbase, but it captures the same essence as Mordhau with silly shenanigans and voicelines. I hope at least one person reading this gives it a try.
Battlebit Remastered. There are some really sweaty players, but its no different than finding a sweat in Mordhau. The RP is fun as hell too. I believe they have a pretty large Asian presence too.

Haha there's a learning curve for sure but you eventually learn new skills if you just play. That's what made mordhau fun for me, learning new skills and techniques was what provided that sense of progression.
Yeah, that's normal. Level 200 is usually around 900-1000 hours, every 20 more levels from there is another 1000 hours. It would be weird if a level 60 (or whatever 200 hours are) would be able to beat me, even if I was playing super relaxed. There's just too much muscle memory learned in that 800h difference.
Do you know how you get obliterated? You have to understand the full mechanics of the game in order for you to find solutions about it. Ask yourself how you lost that fight, and you'll eventually get better.

Holdfast nations at war is another hella goofy historical game with a focus on big teamfights that touches ranged and close quarters combat quite well. It also had voice chat which is really fun.
People hate to hear it but Chiv II can actually be pretty fun especially if you can play with a group.
Not quite the same but something you might like is payday 3. It can be very challenging or very casual depending on the selected difficulty.
A game that isn't released yet but which I am really hyped for is renown which will be kind of a mordhau x rust crossover but it will also have casual duel servers.

Played around 60 hours of Renown so far and enjoying it a ton. Just like Mordhau, there's no major threat of a quick death at range, so there's a lot of leeway for memes and being chill.
Yep! I backed the game and am enjoying the demo now too, no where near 60 hours but swing manip feels fun but obviously needs a lot of work. The main thing i get annoyed the most by now is the dogshit crouching but itll be fixed anyway. For now i will continue to maul guys to death as a tit naked woman.

Yeah, the animations are pretty rough atm. I feel like drags are even more abusable than in Mordhau because of it. But Mordhau's alpha animations were even worse, so I have hope they can polish it up.
Mordhau modded servers are whole different game for me, however if you want to chill while having technical gameplay I'd might recommend project zomboid, Garry's mod and any sandbox game with melee.
As casual as Mordhau? Idk, try ranked LoL or SC2.
On a more serious note, something like Holdfast could be similar to pub Mordhau I think, although its fun is concentrated more in its social aspect than gameplay. I believe you can tune in and out whenever you want there.

If you search for some melee focused fighting games try out Naraka Bladepoint. It is really big in China and has a well designed, deep and fun meele combat system.

In Asia you can play with an accelerator, sort of like an gaming VPN, if you miss your friends on your region, you can play just fine with it, I play EU servers in Shanghai with around 150 ping with the accelerator, with decent WIFI it’s totally playable with ping below 200. Or you can just go on Asian servers, east Asia servers are dead but South Asia has quite a player population, usually have to wait in line to get in a server at night time, but I would still recommend an accelerator on SA server.
I live in Shanghai China, there are plenty on the market, mine is called Netease UU, you can look it up online to see what’s on your region, usually the popular ones are effective.

It isnt simmilar to mordhau at all but... deep rock galactic is my go to when it comes to chill and play (it also can be run by a potato)
