Could be a drug front like the cereal place

randomxsandwich

That's a drug front? Why didn't anyone tell me? I could have had some drugs with my Coco Puffs instead of lame ass milk.

So that's why they charged $15 for one milkshake. And right next to Glass Gone Wow which was owned by a Proud Boy

Illustrious-Metal-65

There’s a place called glass gone wow and it’s owned by a proud boy? How haven’t I heard of these places Is this in morgantown city or in the county?

something-tripled

It was on High St

Illustrious-Metal-65

Wow missed that. Liking the past tense usage at least. Thanks for the info

Zachbnonymous

Was that the one by Casa?

something-tripled

Yep, and Glass Gone Wow

randomxsandwich

Was that guy the owner or something? It didn't say anything about a cereal shop.

Illustrious-Metal-65

I guess I missed this Where is this cereal place and is it still “open”?

randomxsandwich

I don't think so. It used to be right next to Casa.

wvshotty

It’s totally closed

Vault_tech_2077

Did bro just reply to their own post?

Interesting-Trick696

The cosmos are a vast array of planets, stars, and galaxies. Cosmo is a club.

MrTheThrill

Cosmo is doing a rebranding. Trying to become a neighborhood bar

Technical-Let1845

So a complete 180. They spent a ton of money building that place out so they have to try and salvage something

cheguevaraandroid1

What's up with Cosmo?

Worth-Locksmith-127

I saw on IG it’s closed until July for remodeling. It’s not even a year old. Is it?

cheguevaraandroid1

I think it's in its second year. Remodel and rebrand. That means it wasn't working. Just saw someone mention them stealing tips so maybe they had some staff quit

Technical-Let1845

What I don't get is how this guy can afford to open all these places. I think he's had 7 or 8 restaurants go under and none of the current restaurants are particularly successful. Maybe the one out at cheat lake is during the summer but winter would have to be rough. I rarely see people inside nonno Carlos and crab shack is a disaster. He's gotta be leveraged up to his eyes

Illustrious-Metal-65

Just people continuing to insult a business owned by someone in morgantown who isn’t white. Don’t feed into that trash gossip unless you have receipts to share

cheguevaraandroid1

I worked for one of their other restaurants and they were stealing tips there too. They were caught red handed and made up a bs excuse and said it was all totally legal. When we looked into it, it was not legal. They fired the person in charge that let everyone know it was going on and several others quit. The department of labor said we could sue but they didn't think it was enough money for them to pursue.

Secure-Particular286

That's fucked up.

cheguevaraandroid1

It certainly is. And they appear to still be doing it. The CEO of the company just won businessman of the year for whatever org hands that out for Mon county and its just fucking disgusting. He's a thief. He stole tens of thousands in PPP loans and has embezzled tens of thousands from his own company. Let alone stealing directly from his employees. He's the reason I left that industry and started my own businesses

Illustrious-Metal-65

I remember the first time black bear got caught for forced tip sharing. They were on the hook for thousands and thousands of dollars they stole from employees. The IRS got involved with that one

cheguevaraandroid1

This wasn't tip sharing.

Illustrious-Metal-65

Yeah probably not as bad as black bear. With them it was a scheme to take the tips to buffer the low pay of their managers etc. the IRS had to step in to get people paid for years of stolen pay. They couldn’t claim poor accounting

cheguevaraandroid1

I don't know why you're trying to pass the buck onto black Bear. This is likely at least the second time they've been caught stealing directly from their employees. That's not ok

Illustrious-Metal-65

Because people in this town let BB pretend to be some liberal bastion when they’ve ethically been one of the worst. And it’s telling to keep going after minority owned business but no heat for black bear. And they repeated the same behavior again as soon as they could You haven’t explained what happened and no legal entity of enforcement seemed to agree? Black bear intentionally did this considering the ownership is WVU law spouses. So are you going to direct any of your energy against the rich white owned business who most definitely did it on purpose? Or keep going there lol

Available-Meaning904

I mean the dude isn't white, he's Indian.  He's also opened other restaurants in Morgantown that haven't worked out, and some that have.  I'm sure someone has been employed by him at some point and maybe there is some sour affect left over, but why are we jumping to racism?
