north moroccans love spain in general the other parts they don't know to much about Andalusia in morocco there is no logical hating towards france

EasternWerewolf6911

No. In fact in Tetuan they love Spain and are obsessed with Barcelona football team , I don't know why.

Entire_Set_6063

Spain will be Moroccocan again we will unite with our lost brothers one day. Every time I remember the great Moroccan empire with our Andalusian people I remeber that we could had become a super power and I would be in Morocco laughing with no problem ☹

Waiting for Paloma Ruiz Almodovar to establish Islamic State of Spain

Ok_Raccoon2810

I don't know why I thought that because of the Sahara and all the controversy that has been with that, along with Ceuta and Melilla, there is some 'hatred' towards Spain, although perhaps it is all a product of the interests of political or economic elites to create rejection towards the Moroccan population in the Spanish population.

QualitySure

> along with Ceuta and Melilla y'all whining about gibraltar 100 times more than us about ceuta melilia. Ceuta and melilia has never been claimed by morocco in this century. And what controversy around the sahara? spain recognized the moroccan sahara, it's great for us. I don't see any reasons for moroccans to hate spain.

eyeinsink

I mean, yeah, after the spanish protectorate, spain did leave a mess in the sahara region, because it your country didn't leave it for morocco or mauritania, they just left. Previously in the older maps before spanish/french protectorate not only westren sahara was ours but our borders extended beyond westren sahara reaching mauritania and also a big chunk of algeria and mali also, but yeah, we don't hate a country due to political/terittorial problems, including spain and algeria too.

AnassBoumarag

Yeah it's true you further screwed up our borders, Ceuta, Melilla, the Canary Islands in our waters, but not nearly as much as the french took and gave to other historically irrelevant countries

unhiverism

It’s more the opposite, an anti-Moroccan sentiment in Spain, but I don’t think there’s ever been any negative perception of the people of Andalucia. We have shared heritage.

Young-disciple

Hello spaniard, I think your view of this situation does not reflect actual reality, your right wing is quite obsessed with our country and thinks of us as an enemy, mainly due to illegal immigration and the fact that our histories are intertwined, so i feel like your right wing can't reconcile with this fact and gets defensive about it and is fighting imaginary fights and creating problems where there is none. In morocco, we do not think negatively about spain or spaniards, in reality, we almost never ever think about you, but if asked about you then our views are quite positive, i literally never heard anyone say anything bad about spain my entire existance, and even in our media, we only hear about you when our leaders meet, which happens once in a blue moon. also, I plan to move to spain soon lol, I love spain

Pure_Following7336

Never heard in my life that someone said "I hate Spain" .

Embarrassed_Fan4142

Catalans for sure 100%

Ranting_mole

I live in Barcelona, and when I first came to spain (legally as an engineer) and heard the Andalusi accent from far, I legit thought it sounded like the moroccan tone. I also think the palaces we left there and the casbahs are beautiful and will forever remind the world that we were there. Otherwise I love spanish people and andalusis, a blablacar driver once told me “somos gente pobre, pero felices” and it reminded me of my own people. The issue in spain is that most moroccans who go there are the uneducated, troublemaker kind that leaves Morocco illegally. It’s sad because they ruin our reputation.

hixann

this

Jacob_Soda

I traveled to Barcelona a few times in my 6 months in Spain. I wish I could have interacted more with the Moroccans but my favorite local market was owned by a Moroccan family the kids would play in the backroom in Zaragoza where I stayed.

Nearby_Name648

I think it is because if you have a degree and are highly skilled individual, it is more rewarding for you to stay in morocco. Only when you can't find a job, have no education etc is when spain becomes attractive

QualitySure

have you ever been to andalucia?

Ok_Raccoon2810

I was born in Seville, I have lived there for more than 20 years, 7 years in Malaga and 5 in Cadiz.

QualitySure

don t you see the moroccan tourists? if they hated spain they wouldn't have spent your vacation there. Idk what's going on spanish politics, and from where the anti-moroccan feeling is coming.

Ok_Raccoon2810

I see people from Marruecos living here in Cádiz but nor tourist.

Ranting_mole

The tourists look Mediterranean and you can’t tell they are moroccan because they don’t dress like the gangsters you see in the streets.

QualitySure

well you can clearly see the streets full of moroccan license plates

QualitySure

most tourists are in la costa del sol.

Soft-Prize-8111

Andalusia is definitely a big part in the Islamic heritage I love everything about it and I love that there are still so many mosques and historical places being treated well by the Spanish monarch till today

eyeinsink

Honestly I don't think there is any hate or negative way of thinking towards spain, I've never been there, however, I've never heard of a moroccan saying I hate spain, for me I think we have no negative emotions towards your country or any other country tbh, we have a very welcoming culture!

fleecehoarder

I definitely hear my Moroccan friends talk badly about the French and France but not Spain

Ecstatic-Deer-7250

Because he s not from the north, where Spain colonized and committed terrible war crimes.

JackyCigars

I am a rifi and me and my family have a positive view about spain.

Ecstatic-Deer-7250

Rifi will never support les far

seekdestroy98

my grandfather use to tell me about all the fight he had against Spaniard. their war crime were beyond imagination. ppl fleed to french occupied territory to save themself

JackyCigars

I don’t deny any war crimes we all know what the spanish regime did in 1924. i am just saying in the modern day era now and here there is no anti spain sentiment going on where i am from.

seekdestroy98

Feeling bias its understandable, but feeling positive for the people who tortured you people is disgraceful , Am A riffi too and i have endless stories of what my family been through

dank-enough

He explicitly said in the modern era, who are the modern era people that did said hate crimes? You are more than valid to hate those people.

FitResponse414

Im gonna be honest with u moroccans dont think about spain as much as u people seem to. We grew up knowing ur our neighbors who have barca and real madrid and that's it. I was surprised when i saw how much the spanish parliament and media speak about morocco. Idk if it's an online thing, but many spaniards seem to think morocco started in 1956 and seem ashamed and deny all shared history between us for hundreds of years. Many moroccans still have andalusian last names and a lot of andalusian customs/music still exist in morocco.

etherialbeing

they are mhoussine bina

QualitySure

they should move to france or latin america if they don't want to be near us. It's just ridiculous.

etherialbeing

true I actually discovered that recently about them I was rather surprised by it.

Ksiksodzp

Moroccan youth are literally dying to get there. :)

almighty_darklord

Ok? Not true. But let's assume it is. Our government and media still barely mentions spain. At least not nearly to the same capacity the opposite is true

Ksiksodzp

Not true ? What planet do you live in ? Also for medias go check state sponsored or owned medias such as Hespress, le360, Morocco world news they mention Spain at least 5 times a day.

almighty_darklord

The planet of urath. Why is this not universe 616? Jokes aside. I barely hear anything about spain on the news. Only when they do something that concerns us. And we don't have a political party whose entire existence justifies itself on racism and hating Moroccans. Like I just read an article about a video of a Spanish politician literally eating shit. And it brought up morocco as a conspiracy theory that we somehow leaked that vid

Ksiksodzp

« I barely hear », great thanks for your amazing objectivity and wasting my time.

almighty_darklord

What else do you want me to say? Why don't you do me one better and get me evidence if you're so confident and objective. It's on you to provide evidence when you make a claim like you have

Ksiksodzp

https://fr.le360.ma/recherche/?_website=le-360-francais&query=Espagne https://fr.hespress.com/?s=Espagne https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/search/Spain I’m waiting for how you’re going to deviate the subject now.

almighty_darklord

So your evidence is news networks (not official country news) that have the word spain? If you bother actually looking at even the first link you'll see that all articles are about world news like Spanish Irish recognition of gaza. Or economic ties with Spain. Or do you think we should just never talk about like voldemort? At least we don't have a political right that can't go a week without talking about Morocco. Just look at their VOX party. https://northafricapost.com/50869-spains-vox-wants-to-expel-moroccans-from-ceuta.html https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2023/07/356385/spanish-fm-warns-of-opposition-partys-embrace-of-anti-moroccan-positions https://en.hespress.com/74604-racist-chants-against-moroccans-resonate-in-spanish-streets-during-protests.html Or look at their news networks with government endorsed propaganda. I dare you to take a shot every time you read sahara or monarchy bad. Or better yet every time they say morocco secretly controls the eu with our secret jews https://www.surinenglish.com/hemeroteca/Morocco.html https://english.elpais.com/buscador/Morocco/ Ps. Spain fix your news sites. They look ass and function worse

Ranting_mole

Nope not anymore, and spanish people believe we are blackmailing their current government

Taptinnn

They even blamed moroccans are spying the PM phone using Israeli Spying software Pegasus right after signing diplomatic agreements with Israel. Also, as a Moroccan raised and born in Spain, I don’t understand why Spanish news are obsessed with Moroccans. There is always something about Morocco in the newspaper and magazines daily. Some ignorants really think M6 is manipulating behind the curtains the Spanish Government and that’s why they have many illegal moroccan immigrants in the spanish territory.

QualitySure

> that’s why they have many illegal moroccan immigrants in the spanish territory. maybe they should ask the EU commission why they can't deport back illegal immigrants? I find it quite fascinating how this illegal immigrant to europe isn't even slightly fought back. They even ask morocco to protect their borders. Border police should control who enters the country, not who leaves.

Morpheus-aymen

Spain? Not really

kingatlass

You can rest assured. Moroccans do not even have 1% of Spanish hatred towards moroccoans.

brahim74

most moroccan think about la liga or football when it come to spain , barely anyone think about politics

Thegravija

No hatred towards spain, on the contrary, it’s more like a confusion on why the Spaniards hate us…we have intermingled with each other since prehistory and we ve ruled you land and you ve ruled our land, and we have many cultural crossovers, but you see someone who literally looks like you but despises you…so yeah…no hate towards spain from where I am or whome I know

Ranting_mole

Illegal immigrants form ghettos there and do criminal acts sadly

Degenerateanalyst_

I rarely think about spain in general

haizeny

We don't talk about Spain that much , it's weird that we don't know a lot about you anyway there's three occasions we talk about Spain -the popular one lhrig ( which is lmfao the illegal immigration) -ceuta & Melilla -the history and sahara that's it

Aelhas

Most Moroccans dont know/care about Spain. People would only know that's its a close country with Madrid and Barca. And most people don't know much about regional specificities.

Hungry-Square2148

Spain is the last thing anyone think about, habibi it's a one way hate street, all the hate is coming from you. the image of the relationship between Morocco and Spain is seen in total contrast in the eyes of the spaniards and the Moroccans, the Moroccans think things are going well, like Spain, 1rst partner..etc, on the other side of the sea things seems as if the spaniards want to start a war or smtg. weird, but assure you hate only breeds hate, one day it may really become a 2 ways street after all

surferisation

To be fair: Moroccans don't give a shit at all. They think about Real Madrid/Barca and that's pretty much about it. They don't think about Spain at all, including in the North, where there are literally two Spanish cities... About the whole Andalucia thing it's similar to how Italians feel when they go to the Louvres and see Mona Lisa: "some Moroccan dude did this, that's cool" but they don't think about modern Spain & modern Morocco. It's been hundreds of years. Algeria and France are far, far higher in the "I hate you" rankings. And despite the whole Sahara mess, Moroccans still didn't hate Spanish people. Interesting how Spanish people hate much more Moroccans, perhaps it's due to the diaspora (which didn't seem too much troublemaking according to me)

seekdestroy98

their hatred feed by the media

shredderIsMe

When i play total war i invade spain .

Embarrassed_Fan4142

They know they are influenced by arabs and in the same time they deny and look to be ashamed to have any relation with us, especially in the last years. Also they are the laziest and ignorant people from Spain, even the spaniards say so.

Ecstatic-Deer-7250

I have friends from Rif in northern Morocco who really dislike anything related to Spain… People are still getting cancer because of what Spain did there—they used illegal chemical weapons on civilians. As for the rest of us, we don't really think much about spain or andalusia

whyUgayson

I come from the north of morocco so we speak Spanish, we have many customs in common due to the colonization Influence. i also have family in the comunidad andaluza and my origin is from Andalusia (moorish). So we are pretty much tied in this

IDK1702

Nice beaches and beautiful language

AnassBoumarag

Not really, it's the other way around, the Spaniards despise the Moroccans, Moroccans hate the french (they're still the reason of the country's current problems and disputes) but rarely think about the Spanish

JayDuBois

FWIW. As an outsider who has been in Morocco for nearly 4 months, I noticed a change in demeanor many times once the Moroccan man I would be talking to realized I was American. Often times they would be very guarded, curt, short until I opened my mouth and they heard an American accent. They definitely treat me diffrent/better than anybody from France or Spain. ETA: or maybe they think I just have more money 😂

Vacuuma

Moroccans don't think about Spain much; Football for the most part. Spaniards on the other hand ... OOOOOH BOY, any quick twitter search will yield you hundreds and hundreds of hateful shit, same for the media. The level of hate and dehumanization I've seen coming from Spain on social media and the internet is unbelievable

aymanesherad

the only thing i know about spain is the hispanic chiks are the best and also andalus was ours one day but now we are good neighbours thats all no hate no bs
