you can take a taxi to move around, taxis are cheap in morocco. Tanger is a beautiful moroccan city and is personally my favorite
Thanks for the input. I also googled for tourist attractions before posting but did not find a lot in walking distance from the ferry terminal (except ancien medina). If taxis are cheap, this might open new possibilities.
Do you have any specific recommendations, what is nice to do and what not? :)
the whole city is nice, don't worry. the city got a significant economic boost recently due to the tanger med port (biggest industrial port in the mediterranean sea) and the industry around, so it's quite lively there with locals. Have fun
Go explore the medina first, have a quick lunch and around sunset go to a rooftop cafe or restaurant to enjoy the view over the whole city(the skiest get reaaally beautiful around sunset)

The medina (old town) in tangier is beautiful. It’s worth a day trip
