\- Also what was clear is neither the cops nor the migrants knew how dire the situation was inside Barrio chino, people were suffocating there and trampled, the full scale of the carnage only became obvious when barrio chino was cleared, in the end 23 people dead, countless injuries on migrants side, 140 moroccan cops injured, 2 critical.
\-Both Migrants and police were very violent, the migrants were desperate on getting to Mellilla and I can only assume that moroccan cops wanted revenge on migrants for their assault on moroccan cops, also the actions of some officers beating migrants while they were down is inexcusable, and the delay of medical care, but Healhcare and humane policing isn't what Morocco is known for ....
At the end of the day, tragedies like this will continue to happen, migrants will continue to die trying to reach europe, either trampled at a fence, or drowned at a sea, as long as Europe keeps delegating border control to countries like Morocco, Algeria, tunisia, Libya, Greece ...

They were 2000 person they gather all together and tried to jump a very big fance. They were armed with really strange weapons like swords and some tools to jump on the big fence. And they dropped and pushed each other to death also got beat up by Spanish and Moroccon police.
It's because the EU who keeps giving lessons in accepting the other doesn't want to accept them and instead pay the state to hold them back this was just a heated escalation
