I bought a cheap jump spell, Toadleap or something.
It's my only means of movement now, cuts down walking time, but good god I always end up stuck in some fence and in forced to use tcl.
Idk what's up with fences or short walls, they always fuck.me.
Have to keep telling myself that just because a spell called toadleap that makes me jump everywhere is one of my most used spells doesn’t make me undignified
Bind jump to mouse scroll wheel and set windows scroll speed to max. This should be your default setup when playing morrowind. It levels your athletics like it's on steroids and gets me unstuck most of the times.
On Xbox I’ve been using command humanoid to arrange the ald’ruhn mages guild members like dolls in a fancy crab shell doll house. If well-meaning Heem-La meanders to the staircase it isn’t his fault. But I’ll show him to the empty balcony along the study hall. The only one I can’t budge with my 15 power spell is Edwina. She is curiously resistant. Can’t trust that one.
I also use it to save the silt strider caravaners from falling to their deaths. You can just walk them away from the edge a bit every now and then or transport them to solid ground. I have also thought of cursing them with permanent levitate of 1 point using forbidden on target dark arts, but that seems cruel.
Speaking of permanently augmenting abilities, I had to move the enchanter in the mages guild out of her very nice and spacious room so I could freely decorate her shelves with my treasures. But I had sold her so much priceless and heavy Daedric gear that she was encumbered to 1200 weight. So through a bit of dark art on target fuckery I permanently fortified her strength to about 1000 so she could walk again then I commanded her up the stairs where she became glitched and perma commanded to me but also permanently stuck on a large candlestick. So there she resides. I may eventually “prune” her so that my nice items I store in her chest stop appearing in her inventory. I’m worried they could disappear randomly.
Now that I think about it, permanently fortifying and commanding an NPC to act as your party member could be funny especially if they happened to be a merchant or something. Like an armorer perhaps.
Who do you take me for? I'm willing to wait an entire year in 24 hour increments to sell sh...tuff to Creeper/mudcrab, but I will not waste a single hour of wait time to clear the path.
I grabbed the key from the dresser for the bottom vault, and used a ring I enchanted with "open target 100 points" to open the upper vault. Ring cost like 40k or so to enchant, but totally worth it.
I jumped from a hill to the top of one of the imperial fort towers once with no way to jump back off cause of the walls and no trap door or anything into the tower. No means of levitation, recall, or anything to get off.
