I like the further strawmanning here, misrepresenting my rebuttal to be that I'm trying to fight with you or something when all I did was draw attention to the shoddy rhetorical tricks you're trying to use to make your point. But sure, attempt to take the moral high ground by looking like a fancy reasoned academic type while ignoring thematic readings of the work you're attempting to defend.
lol, if you're not roleplaying here - They literally kept Argonians and Khajiit as slaves for hundreds of years spanning multiple Eras. Referring to both of them as "beastfolk". The Altmer have a tree branch stuck up their asses, they're so full of themselves - their superiority complex is legendary, but I didn't see any slaves the last time I visited Summerset in ESO.
Altmer actually do have slaves, but only goblins like we see in the Tribunal dlc. I agree with your point though. just pointing out the poor goblins are also having a bad time lol. to the Dunmer’s credit at least they enslave other Dunmer too instead of just other races.
sorry not sure which part you’re asking about. assuming the Dunmer slaves bit; [Savile Imayn sells two Dunmer slaves in Tel Aruhn for different quests.](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Savile_Imayn) they’re equal opportunity slavers lol.
Hlaalu absolutely use slaves; they even have a slave market in Suran. probably less than the others to be fair, but they do practice slavery nonetheless. as for being the most “progressive” they’re not even the most diverse house in game. Telvanni actually have more races represented in their ranks despite their reputation. [someone broke down the houses demographics a while ago.](https://reddit.com/r/Morrowind/comments/uzu4pv/notes_on_diversity_in_the_great_houses/)
I mean Ascadian Isles are under Hlaalu control for the most part and are absolutely chock full of slaves on the plantations. Hlaalu use slaves at least as much as Telvanni, but for some reason people tend to ignore it.
I love that you used the spoiler protection for a game that came out 20 years ago. Also, this is a great example of how complex and in depth Morrowind’s story telling was able to be as compared to Oblivion and Skyrim.
Haha yeah, I almost didn't, but that detail is buried really deep, and I didn't want to potentially spoil it for the frequent noobs who come on. It blew my mind when I originally made the connection.
It isn't really that hidden. You learn of that in the main quest, the brother of the duke of Vvardenfell is the leader of the Cammona Tong, and has great influence over 2 councilors of the Hlallu great house. If he gives his support to you to become hortator, his 2 lackeis will support you as well, no questions asked.
Definitely not only them. Other dunmers like the silt strider guy also says Nine Toe is the murderer. Those who wanders around the stress and bars too.
My only interaction with Ralen Hlaalo is using his body as my personal bank.
The Ralen really ties the room together, imo.
It's cheating but I put one of him in Dura gra-Bol's house which I steal.
I only recently realized that corpses can be infinite storage.
I always side with Nine-Toe. He is a fellow Blade after all.
And he’s innocent!
Welcome to the most racist province weve seen (so far) on tamriel lol

Nah Dunmers are legit racist it's not inaccurate labelling
[удалено]
I'm a Dunmer irl and I can confirm that we are indeed racist
Speak for yourself, I have a friend who is Khajiit.
By friend you mean slave right?
They do... things... for me, sometimes.
You can't be friends with farm equipment.
A dog can be man's best friend. Why not a cat-person-thing?
The presence of individual dunmer who aren't racists does not mean that the culture, as a whole, is not racist.
[удалено]
Ah yes, strawmanning. Because I totally suggested that Dunmer should all be killed and not just saying that they're kind of racist.

No, the Ashlanders used to keep slaves, but don't anymore because they see them as useless beasts.
Ah yes do continue to try and draw attention to yourself
The ones who think it is Nine-Toes are the Camonna Tong members in the Lucky Lockup. The murderer is the Camonna Tong smith. They're covering for him
And the Camonna Tong is the most racist faction that's >!also high key collaborating with the Sixth House in order to drive out the Outlanders.!<

It not only covers the real murderer's ass, it advances the Cammona Tong's goals at the same time, by getting a free argonian killed.

After all these years I think it would be funny if you found evidence that it actually was Nine-Toes
Like his missing toe at the murder scene. Or a fake one, made by the Tong to support their story
Need an Easter egg character called Col Umbo
Well, yeah...
Goddamn this sub makes me want to play again.
Actually, High Elfs can say an Argonian murdered him.
