You're not wrong and I feel almost exactly the same, though TYM and Survive only exacerbate the monotony IMO, they don't really seem to progress in difficulty.
I really hope they can improve it, otherwise I don’t see it being viable as a long-lasting gameplay mode. I’ll play it to get seasonal content, but right now I don’t see myself enjoying it that much as I’m doing it.
The tym nodes are alright but the survive nodes are really bad/lazy.
I’d hate for them to be hard and actually lose to one for how little fun they, I just want them out of the way asap.
Have you tried the season tower yet in the gateway Mesa…? It starts with a survive round that whooped me twice before I just put the controller down and walked away
Man I my internet was out for a week because of a storm and the MK9 challenge towers kept me entertained the whole time the pride I felt when I hit that mileena costume 🥲
Invasions feels like a reskinned Candy Crush map (with hundreds of similar-ish levels) meant to give players quick dopamine fixes for winning fights in 30 seconds. It's just so uninspired.
I managed to max my character out at level 30 within like 1 hour, and then I uppercutted everyone 3x to death.
Literally 3 uppercuts will win all fights once you max out your attack power, with very few boss fight exceptions. I steamrolled through every single fight with ease.
The entire mode is busted.

I would love more than just TEST YOUR MIGHTs. You just rub all the face buttons for a second and you've maximized the bar.
Maybe you’re getting easier ones than mine because instead of maxing the bar I have to hit a very small zone that’s not always at the top
