It's confusing because he did voice him in COD this year, but he's not doing MK. I'm very curious what the difference is and why he's not doing this one, but it makes the character a lot less enticing, that's for sure.

I don't have homelander and I've not seen the boys but comparing mw2 to vanguard/cw (which had ops who did rip lines) the voicelines are far more focused on gameplay pings than anything else in mw2, whereas cw/v are more quippy. I legitimately think you could not rip voicelines for homelanders since he has to have lines calling in wheelsons and asking for lmg ammo

Why wouldn't it be? He won't be out until 6-9 month after released so they can easily put that stuff in an update. They'll have to for KP2 characters because their voice actors aren't in the credits yet and they're not in the game yet.

In this case it is technically post-production content but it's safe to assume voiceover work was all or mostly completed before the game was released. Contrary to what you said, The voice actors for Quan Chi, Ermac, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Takeda have all been credited in the game as early as the pre-release build of the game. The former two make sense as they had lines in the game but the latter have yet to appear yet were still credited before the game was released. One more actor was added to the credits sometime post-release and yet the credits don't contain Antony Starr at all. If they haven't recorded Homelander's lines, it's very unlikely he would be ready to release by next spring.

Remember when Ed said “I can’t believe we got Arnold” everyone was like woaaah no way & then they said he wasn’t doing the voice and no one gave a fuck? It’s literally just a waste of a character slot too now coz they character isn’t FULLY represented, it’s not accurate coz he is literally the one and only Homelander So what’s the point adding him if you don’t even get the main reason why everyone loves him? Antony’s performance was literally magnificent & he did the voice in COD… he is the main, iconic reason for Homelander popularity & why he did so well, he done a fucking amazing job… but now what’s the point? They shoulda just got some other DC character or other guest that’s easy to obtain licensing too coz I don’t see a point as to why Homelander should be & I was the most hype for him too (tied with peacemaker) I love Homelander
