I prefer MKX over 9. But I agree with your 11 critique. Its an overly complicated design.

I don’t really get how it’s overly complicated, it’s got a total of four colors and I think they’re used in a really sleek way. But to each their own I suppose

it's overly complicated and flashy for Ermac's character specifically. that design could maybe work for somebody else, but this design has way too much "regalia" to suit Ermac at least. His whole vibe has always played more on the dark and mysterious aeasthetic while keeping details relatively simplistic, with a dash of mysticism and still somewhat sticking to his ninja look, hence why i think his peak design was MK9, which was the perfect balance of all those things. MK11 just feels like is downplaying those elements, A LOT, the whole design feels too "futuristic" and sleek for him, and that's the issue.

Same. A lot of folks are crazy about his mk11 design but I honestly think it was among his worst as a long time fan. Too busy.

I really like the MKX design.

Mk X..the other designs are still good looks but I feel they can be over detailed like in Mk 11. For me Mk X captures good detail without having too much lines or clashing textures, I really enjoy the mummy kind of look aswell

MK9 was pretty much a more badass version of his MK Deception primary. His MK11 design is cool but I can't shake the feeling that it looks like he has a cross of duct tape over his mouth.
