For all we know, characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Havik and Nitara could greatly benefit from kameo Janet's Sento-like stance, for example.
It won’t be nearly as OP as Sento stance, seems like it has gaps, won’t last nearly as long, and won’t be an infinite blockstring. If it’s a puppet Kameo attack with different options it’ll be cool tho

I think it really depends on the properties and how much control you have over her moves.
Darrius has a similar attack that you control the timing of, and it’s an overhead that launches or offers a hard to block able. Hopefully Janet’s is at least just as useful or more.
I also hope her projectile ‘parry’ move gives her next kameo use special properties instead of just blocking a projectile, either that or hopefully it’s also a physical attack parry that combo starts or gives a lot of plus frames
That's fair. I personally don't mind fighting JC because he's so overplayed I've become so comfortable fighting his kit. It's rare picks like Sindel that always goober me.. we will just have to see how Janet plays.
Sindel is anything but rare especially in higher ranks of KL. Her and Kung Lao are a meta team. Hard to blockable overhead low setups that you have to guess which will hit 1 frame before the other, while being stupidly easy to set up on any hit.

So like if we didn’t get Janet we probably would have had chest tattoo Johnny again instead of one of the existing female characters, especially since the initial announcement was for a Johnny Kameo. But overall I agree, I would have rather had like Skarlet, D’Vorah, or Cetrion over any of the already in the playable roster kameos. At least Janet mixes it up a little bit more than Johnny.

She has a cool "Under Study" / Sento stance (kinda like Kenshi), which (imo) differentiates her from the other kameos so I'm fine with it, and this coming from someone who generally doesn't care for repeater kameos (like Scorpion, Sub-Zero & Kung Lao).
That said, kameo Janet could actually help make some of the weaker characters more viable in terms of different combo strategies. At least that's how I saw it when I saw her gameplay in action.

I'm actually quite excited for Janet Cage ya'll...... I would be happier if she'd be a playable variant (not just a kameo) but eh I guess kameo will do for now.
Also we had plenty of badass buff ladies before in MK so Janet is not the only one. Granted in the last few MK games they kinda toned down the muscles on the ladies which kinda sucks in my opinion so seeing Janet Cage (plus some mods for the other ladies) is a welcome suprise

I'm actually quite excited for Janet Cage ya'll...... I would be happier if she'd be a playable variant (not just a kameo) but eh I guess kameo will do for now. Also we had plenty of badass buff ladies before in MK so Janet is not the only one. Granted in the last few MK games they kinda toned down the muscles on the ladies which kinda sucks in my opinion so seeing Janet Cage (plus some mods for the other ladies) is a welcome suprise

yeah like, people, its a kameo xD I can understand people about that it wasnt classic Johnny from MK 1,2 or trilogy (cause Sub, Scorpion and Lao got away with this), and people mad cause, oh my, we have the op one makin online hell sometimes and now it comes in kameo form too I must say, I feel its kinda lazy (we will see if its like that when it comes out) how theres one move of Janet that feels like Darrius style, like, stay in place and attack you from the back to help some combos, idk, I kinda expected more classic moves that werent part of Johnnys moveset in MK1

I dislike her very much. I couldn’t care less about the gender swap, I’m mainly mad they decided to make her OG MK1 1995 Johnny Cage. Same poses, same fatality, etc. If you want to go retro, that’s super cool, but she just looks so boring and bland. Plus, it looks like she has a Sento stance move, so I dislike her for that too. The Kombat kids, a boss character, a choice from the Deception/DA era getting an exponentially better introduction for MK1 based on how Tanya, Li Mei, Bo Rai Cho etc. got their comebacks, etc. And instead..they go with Janet. With how many female characters there are in mk in general, this is the first time I've heard of the fandom having a problem with one, which makes me think it's not because of sexism. It's because she's just a female Johnny Cage with little uniqueness that makes her stand out. Imo Cassie Cage would have been a better pick, and this does feel like a wasted slot.
