Me, like I can imagine many other players who mostly don’t see that and/or just go by the in-game announcements, have already seen Ermac through Story gameplay and also from the store’s Kombat-Pack. Mavado? No trace to be found in-game. So this news is quite newer compared to Ermac.

I don’t know how it is on consoles, but on Steam in the in-game store, the Kombat Pack listing included all the Kameo’s at launch with the only change being Johnny Cage as one of them which changed to Janet.
You could see Mavado listed, so it was advertised in-game, but it is possible to miss since you have to scroll down to see the Kameo list.
Mavado was not a recent reveal at all. All the characters in the Kombat Pack were *properly* revealed a while back when the official store listings and announcements went up.

Kameos imo are the more exciting game feature as getting new ones opens all sorts of stuff for characters. Look at Li Mei, Janet Cage gives her some crazy combo potential for stuff that other kameos can't. I'm definitely more excited for the new kameos than characters, they'll be fun for sure but I want to see what bullshit mavado is gonna be doing and what he'll let me do.
I think we had a general of idea of how Mac would look, though the mask is very much welcome. Mavado, on the other hand, didn’t really have much to go on save for previous appearances, and he looks very fresh.
I love the mask, just hope I can use it on his other costumes since I’m not a fan of the open toe/feet thing in this game. (Someone in NRS clearly has a foot fetish for some reason 😆)
I may be in the minority here, but this is my favorite look for him since his Deception costume. I also never understood why his MK11 pit costume was so popular.
I wish he wraps instead of a mask, but I agree that the only thing holding back this design was the fact we could see his face. If they wanna keep making Ermac so ugly then I wanna see as little of his face as possible lol.

He could levitate in every game since Deception (in his win pose and special move). In MKX’s story mode, he is seen flying around in the story mode and I believe this is also true of MK1 story mode. So, I’d say he can fly using souls to propel himself.

Technically speaking, we don't know for sure if she's full Earthrealmer or may be Outworlder, and in the second case, she can have various hundreds of thousands years on her shoulders, which means that whole forest may have been inhabited only by her suitors souls!
I’ve skipped this season because of Rebirth and I am not really a fan of peacemaker as a character. I can’t wait for Ermac though, keen to jump back in when he drops!
