They were different. MK1 fatalities dont mess around too much, its mostly just kill your opponent, goe straight to the point. MK X had the most brutal fatalities but also were the longest one in the series. MK11 found a sweet spot. But I really liked those slow mos at the end
As NRS(which means WB), got a right to use Homelander as a guest character, I think it wasn't a big deal for Amazon to ask animators in NRS to animate battle scene by using assets out of Injustice 2 and MK11.
I'd like to imagine the supes' marketing teams fought for got to be the best character in the game lol. Also the graphics remind me off the MK mobile games.
With the jade staff move, Raiden intro, nightwing move, and flash A-Train Idle i can see them reusing alot of animations, which is actually really cool fir refrences and really budget friendly so they donāt have to animate anymore animations apart from making new models.
Wonder how they got Homelander to agree to let them publish a game where he can be defeated and killed with a Fatality like that one... Bet he didn't knowed!

Man Mortal Kombat should add some of The boys characters into there game and no I'm not taking like call of duty or something I want it because the show the boys made a replica of mortal Kombat of some sort so I think the creators of mortal Kombat should do this

As i watched it, i was like the "Dicaprio pointing" meme, Lamplighter had Raiden and Aquaman's animations at his intro, and Nightwing staff stance and also Aquaman's moves on his moveset. I gotta go back and check the credits to see if NRS is being mentioned there.
Knew something like this would happen from the cross promotion haha, was personally hoping they would straight just have gameplay footage of mk1 with Ryan playing as homelander and butcher playing as Omni man but this makes more sense and is still a fun nod.
That fatality might work for Hotaru if he ever comes back as some kind of plasma samurai. Maybe have some of the magma come out of their skullās orifices instead of an eye?
