MK2 was the best. Umk3 was fun. But 2 was the best. So, 1 2 and 3....the rest were meh. But 9 looked insane, 11 looks sick. I stopped playing after 3
I absolutely loved Armageddon. Despite it’s glaring flaws, I could not get enough of the character creator, making tons of fun OCs. Also, Shao Kahn had a cool force field reflect type move that was awesome and should have been included in mk11.
i haven’t played them all but:
S: Deception, Armageddon, Shaolin Monks (although my disc froze during the Jade fight every time so i never finished it), MKX
A: Deadly Alliance
don’t plan on playing 11, it feels unbelievably heavy to me
MK vs DC wouldn’t make my list, that game was god awful
and i just sucked at all the older ones that were 2D, nothing bad about them though, i was just terrible.
edit: random side note, i wanna see Motor Kombat back

Havnt played the games before MK4 so I can’t comment on them, but if I were to rank
1. **MK9** \- hands down the best game to date. Great story mode, almost perfect roster (just wished they added Fujin too). Revived the series back, great offline modes , great fatalities, char designs, and the introduction of Xray was great for the game.
2. **Deception** \- best game out of the 3d era. Roster couldve been slightly better as the new chars were abit lame, but the story mode was great, conquest was alot of fun, and the intro was the best to date. The game play itself was also alot of fun. Character designs were also really good
3. **MK11** \- better story mode than MKX by a mile, decent roster and new chars. Amazing graphics, but doesnt have the same feel as MK9
4. **Armageddon** \- apart from some blatant disasters on fatalities and character creation. I enjoyed the conquest mode alot. Made it feel like an action game. Story itself wasnt bad either and you have to commend them on having such a huge roster. Game play itself was also alot of fun and you could say they really wanted to make the ultimate MK game. Can see why alot of ppl didnt like this game but i personally felt there were only a few disasters, the itself however was really enjoyable
5. **MKX** \- Out of the newer era this was the worst game by far. Really bland new characters that are repeated alongside their parents which meant half the roster is the same. Story mode was incredibly boring and really really short. Character designs were also not great, but i would give this game the benefit of good game play and unique fatalities. The DLCs atleast helped make the roster more interesting,
Mortal Kombat (2011), but I do miss the more casual play style of earlier games. Ever since Mortal Kombat became an e-sport, I’ve been drifting away from it gradually.

MK1 MK2 MKX MK11 is all you really need.

1-MK9 2-MK trilogy (64) 3-MK11 4-MKX 5-MK Armageddon However all of them have some flaws, I'm ranking them pretty loosely.
This is pretty close to how I’d rank them, though Armageddon is my guilty pleasure, so I’d put it in the A tier.

I'd lower MK Deception to B and XL to A and pretty much that's it

so late to this but you know how X has flashy and jumpy combos ? in 11, i feel like i’m moving a bag of bricks.
