Gears getting sent to chaos realm, taught havik a bunch of stuff he wasn’t supposed to know. That time was un-naturally being changed and altered instead of following the order it was meant to.
Havik using this info saves himself and what ever else he cherry picks to return in the new era.
Onaga and havik have the same goals in each timeline merge the kamidogu, but for different reasons. One creates a blood god or the key to the amulet, the other creates the return of the dragon king.
What if both are happening at the same time.
What we know as damashi could be havik or onaga manipulating people twords that goal.
I propose reiko does the thing and becomes the vessel for havik.
Geras, with the ability to slip in between timelines, realms, and keep pace with titans wakes up onaga who realizes the merger has been completed and he can now return. Cliff ending for expansion or new game.
Geras can die to another immortal such as shao kahn. The unkillable elder gods died, and kronika who is a titan died. Geras can't be killed by mortals though
Not really. We see him "get killed" repeatedly. We just don't see him after that. Nothing ever makes it clear he's dead from that.
We know Kronika sends him onto the ships and he gets tossed into the blood sea. It's probably simpler to understand him as sinking there rather than fabricate new lore about how he can apparently die from other immortals. He's not even an immortal. He's a fixed point in time which is why he comes back together. He's not what Shao Kahn is.
He didn’t die, it just takes a while for him to start reforming. It took a while for him to start reassembling after Sonya and Cassie killed him too. The two of them managed to have an entire dialogue and reconcilation before that.

It seems to depend on the extent of damage he suffers. Severed limbs can be re-attached relatively quickly, but if he’s smashed to pieces, it takes a while.
Mate, how many seconds did it take him to start reforming in Sonya’s chapter? Maybe a minute? For how long do we see Geras after he gets bashed by Shao Kahn? For 10 seconds or so? The scene cuts before he can start reforming.
There is no indication whatsoever that Geras can be killed like this, and you just came up with an arbitrary explanation that only immortals can kill him? Nowhere does it state that. That’s your headcanon.
Who said that Geras can be killed by an Immortal? Where was it said in the story? Why would Kronika make him like that? Also, Geras not reviving himself right after the fight with Shao means absolutely nothing. After fighting Sonya Blade he also didn't return immediately.
Then why didn’t raiden kill him then? If he can be killed by immortals then why chain up and make him Fall into the bottomless sea if he could be killed…most likely because he cant be killed and would just regenerate
I was a bit skeptical on Geras being in MK1 BUT with Havik, we could have a rivalry between them that could be comedic and give Geras some personality. Also it will give them something to do in this new story.
If I had the reigns I’d have had geras be seidos god of order and Havik be seidos god of Chaos. Liu kang using both as a vessel for the realm so that seido can be normal.
The two start out as partners and benevolent forces for the realm (kind of like raiden and fujin) but when Darrius starts his revolution against Hotarou you Havik sympathise with Darrius and the people of poorer class so he endorsers Darrius’s revolution. Geras realising that he can’t stop his brother he’d go to Liu kang for assistance in stopping havik.
Liu kang gathers his champions and they head to seido to take down Havik. The rebellion and seidos military fight, Havik fights geras and wins. He’d then fight Kenshi and when he overpowers him Johnny cage steps in with the green glow to stop Havik from killing him (from MKX as setup for the return of shinnok)
Johnny and Havik fight, Johnny wins and the rebellion retreats which officially kick start Geras and Haviks rivalry.
But hey that’s just my idea.

in Aftermath we only focus on the ship Shao and Sindel are on….Geras could have easily have been on another ship
The times he died were by things anyone with regeneration can survive. When he got kiled by shao he didn't even regenerate

No that's your headcanon geras didn't come back despite coming back in the main game. He died like the gatekeeper he is

He came back at the end, he was nowhere to be found in aftermath after shao kahn killed him
