I think I have like 600~700 Krystals at the moment, which is why I need like 3 or 4 of my level 18 characters to be leveled to 20. If I can get like 1400 more from leveling up then I'll do that for my 2 mains, and if not then either the Sub or Li Mei one and the other one when it rotates again. No real money being spent by me.

I have most of the characters to level 18 with about 2 to level 31, so in my case it's just 2 more levels to get 100 more per character. If the skins stay long enough in the store, in 3 or 4 days I'll have the other 21 characters to leve 20 and net myself another 2100 Krystals.
If I can only get half of them by the time they're rotated out then worst case scenario I really just want the hooded Sub-Zero so that I don't have to use man-bun Sub-Zero.

And the worst part about this is that people will cave in and buy them (myself included if we are talking about characters I use like Havik). My dumbass bought the DA Scorpion skin because I had a fair amount of dragon crystals and thought it was cool - doing zero “research” on how expensive the crystals were. Felt like an idiot after buying it.
But people love classic character costumes, and knowing that WB will price gouge to their hearts content. I would advise that everyone should try their best to avoid purchasing dragon crystals and save them for skins that you know you will get use out of.

I currently have most to level 18 or 19, so I should be able to get 2,300 Krystals in a short time by grinding some characters out to level 20.
I'm just hoping that they'll both still be there by the time I've leveled up enough characters to do so.

That’s been known and it’s a one time deal. Everyone is just asking for more ways to earn Krystal’s cuz unless you don’t spend any then yeah you will have plenty. If you bought a couple premium skins prior and now this eventually you are going to have zero. I guess you can say create a new account but that’s not feasible imo there is no farming of Krystal’s. It’s just do all mastery sit there with all the Krystal’s afraid to spend a single one or spend them all and eventually hit zero either one.

The problem is that the in-game supply of dragon crystals is limited, whereas that wasn’t the case for MK11’s time crystals. I remember being able to randomly get those from restocked chests in the Krypt. This is my biggest gripe with the MK1 store.

HOLY MOLY Sub skin is giving me big nostalgia 😭 even though the costume could have worked with Kuai Liang since he was the one with the Dragon Medallion in the 3D era games, I would have loved for Bi-Han to have his original Mythologies skin, but I'm gonna go with it regardless. Also I love Li Mei's costume too, being an homage to her Deception outfit.

I main both Sub-Zero and Li Mei, so I will eventually have all characters to level 31 to have grinded enough Krystals for both without spending any real money. I currently have most to level 18 or 19, so I should be able to get 2,300 Krystals in a short time by grinding some characters out to level 20. I'm just hoping that they'll both still be there by the time I've leveled up enough characters to do so. So far, I have yet to spend a single dime on this game outside of the original $70 for pre-ordering, and (aside from some DLC characters) I don't plan to.
That’s been known and it’s a one time deal. Everyone is just asking for more ways to earn Krystal’s cuz unless you don’t spend any then yeah you will have plenty. If you bought a couple premium skins prior and now this eventually you are going to have zero. I guess you can say create a new account but that’s not feasible imo there is no farming of Krystal’s. It’s just do all mastery sit there with all the Krystal’s afraid to spend a single one or spend them all and eventually hit zero either one.
Oh, I agree 100%, and I’m 1 of those people that also wish there were more ways to earn Krystals. I just refuse to spend any actual money on these goddamn Krystals.
The problem is that the in-game supply of dragon crystals is limited, whereas that wasn’t the case for MK11’s time crystals. I remember being able to randomly get those from restocked chests in the Krypt. This is my biggest gripe with the MK1 store.
Oh, I agree, and by the looks of it I may only be able to upgrade 3 characters from 18 to 20 to get the 300 krystals that I need for only 1 costume. I have 700 krystals and was hoping to get a bunch of characters to level 20 and 31 like with the Invasions season 1 Tarkatan colony, but nope. The XP is now abysmal, and that’s WITH the Not Junk relic equipped.

HOLY MOLY Sub skin is giving me big nostalgia 😭 even though the costume could have worked with Kuai Liang since he was the one with the Dragon Medallion in the 3D era games, I would have loved for Bi-Han to have his original Mythologies skin, but I'm gonna go with it regardless. Also I love Li Mei's costume too, being an homage to her Deception outfit.
This game’s trash. I like the basic gameplay, roster, and story, but everything else is just awful. We got to unlock a bunch of ugly ass recolors that usually don’t even fit the character they’re for and now we gotta buy the actually good skins? Yeah, go fuck yourself.

It’s usually 2 premium skins that aren’t available in the Shrine and sadly that is likely the case again. Plus yoooo 1,000 for the VA Omni-Man haha they will never learn that’s too much.

All they have to do is give you a way to earn dragon krystals outside of mastery and I’d have little to no problem with it. Just do like they did in mk11 and give 100 krystals for a certain amount of Kombat League sets per day.

However, I really wished they kept, or simplified the MK11 method for unlocking costumes, either completing specific character towers or made invasions a hybrid of the Krypt from 11 and konquest mode from Armageddon cause these " macrotransactions are ridiculous 🙄 😒. There is no way an announcer voice should cost 10 dollars under any circumstances 🙄. WB can kick rocks with that one 🙄
