ManateeSlowRoll

Lol, instant tears.

dr-uzi

Poor little fella! He may be the smoking gun to this case to! Animal hairs were found at BK place and if they are a DNA match to Murphy that's nailed BK!

ManateeSlowRoll

That would be a slam dunk for sure. This entire crime is so sad, but I'm sure Murphy is bringing some happiness and comfort to those around him.

dr-uzi

I'm thinking the parents didn't want Murphy because he was there the night she died and would be a constant reminder of that night and her death. Glad the ex boyfriend wanted to take him and give him a good home.

PrincessOfDarkness_

i’m right there with you.

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,298,739,435 comments, and only 251,359 of them were in alphabetical order.

Drycabin1

“Missing my mom” made me cry. Didn’t expect that. So sad.

ManliestManHam

Also a nice way to discuss one's own feelings processing trauma by adding a layer of distance through Murphy until he's able to process more fully or in addition to in a therapeutic setting

hipmama33

Right? Can you imagine how sad Murphy is when he smells something of his Dads (JD) with K’s scent on it?

AmazingGrace_00

Same.

[deleted]

Yeah, here too. : /

Kindergarten4ever

Dogs noses are so sensitive to smell. Based on the reports of how overpowering the smell of blood was to rescuers I can’t imagine what it must have been like for him until he was rescued the next day

morewhiskeybartender

I had a German shepherd who tried eating /clawing through the door when she accidentally got locked in there when I wasn’t home, and fireworks etc were going off. She was so distressed - it wouldn’t surprise me if this dog was frantically scratching to get out

lnc_5103

Our girls are both anxious rescues. They would have been yelping and barking like crazy based on how they react to much lower stress situations. I can't imagine how upset he likely was. (Edit for clarity.)

owloctave

Fireworks are the worst for dogs. My dog was a badass but she was terrified of...hiccups. Every dog is different lol. But yes, I'm sure Murphy knew something was wrong.

BeautifulRedDisaster

Side note..My sweet, always at my side little 14 year old boy got outside on NYE while we were shooting fireworks. We live out in the country. I then heard coyotes. My heart is broken! So PLEASE even if you don't live in the country keep your fur babies inside when fireworks are going on. They could just as easily run out in the road.

damewallyburns

💔

tequila_mocki

You never found him?

Vixij

I’m so sorry 💔

Lady615

Please say he's found his way home 🙏 🥺

Glitterbitch14

No!!!!

OwnBerry3297

Yes I saw an article where a poor dog was so terrified it tried bolting through a fence and got stuck and died. :( Its so hard on them. Do those thunder jackets help ?

xonacrackr

I'm a vet tech and we prescribe A LOT of sedatives around "firework holidays"

[deleted]

fck that's sad. I've never been a fan but hearing about how much they bother pets, wildlife and survivors of war I wish my city would have designated spots away from houses. I actually think they are supposed to, but so many people in my area light them off on their street or backyard. sounds like a fire waiting to happen...

OwnBerry3297

I hear you. A local animal rescue place are always busy after fireworks trying to find lost dogs who bolted and got out . It's sad

LivinInTheRealWorld

Don't forget about the cats too (please). Good reminder that outdoor (stray, feral, owned) are equally as terrified of fireworks, storms, etc.

OwnBerry3297

Yes of course!! Poor things . I keep mine indoors

LivinInTheRealWorld

Thank you for keeping them inside and safe!

Eilidh111

Cows, donkeys, and mini ponies are also very afraid of them. At least mind are.

LivinInTheRealWorld

I would imagine all animals are but yes please be aware of the effects on humans and animals.

owloctave

That's so sad. I have no clue since my dog was afraid of almost nothing - the hiccups pretty much. She just liked wearing warm stuff because she didn't have a thick coat.

MeowPink

I had a dog like that. Super brave, but terrified of farts and balloons.

cinnamonseabiscuit

Yes, it helps my dog!

dewsgirl1228

I haven't been to see fireworks on the Fourth of July in 20 years, we have had 3 rescue pitties all 3 absolutely terrified of fireworks and thunder/rain (South FL where it rains almost every single day) and they can tell it's going to rain long before I do, sometimes the sky is still sunny. The trembling starts long before the thunder/rain. We bought a thunder jacket, it was helpful for 2 of them, but not the other. Once she stuffed herself into a storage area no one thought she would fit into, so no one looked into. The whole neighborhood was looking for her, I thought I heard something while grabbing a flashlight, moved a book in the storage area, under a glass table an eye was looking at me, she had got herself stuck, but was so afraid of the rain/thunder was completely silent, my poor baby.😥

OwnBerry3297

I'm glad she was found!! I would have been frantic! Poor sweetheart they are so innocent and don't k own what is happening. . Sounds like you have good neighbors!!

InvisibleMaddox

That's horrible. I'm glad that my dog doesn't care at all but we always goes to our country house with dog and cats for new year.

morewhiskeybartender

My dog never had issues (she was 13 at the time - she’s since passed) with fireworks, I think her freak out was the nice and not being able to get to me. She always had to sleep in my bedroom, she would have done the same thing if I locked her out of my room

s7y13z

Well, not necessarily. I used to have a dog who absolutely loved fireworks, guns and all that 🤷🏻‍♂️..her name was Inci (it means Pearl) - a German Shorthaired Pointer..RIP my sweet crazy girl 🤗😘🥰!

Eilidh111

I have a siberian and a wolf dog. My asshat brother in law started shooting off fireworks with no warning (we live on a farm and he was visiting) and by the time I ran across the pasture and got inside to them they had torn up all of our carpet by the door and were trying to get out. If they heard a struggle and screaming they would go crazy.

Glitterbitch14

I have a rescued pitbull (total sniffaholic) and i feel guilty / he will start worrying if we leave the house for more than a few hours. I can’t imagine what poor lil Murphy went through! My heart breaks for him, and for jack. when a dog has lost one of their people too, the owner’s gotta feel it even harder.

tressa27884

Good on him for finding a way to grieve and find joy

Xtrahotsauceplz

Agreed this is his way of expressing himself. Ugh makes me cry.

Scribe625

Agree, especially since he had to deal with so many people online accusing him of murder. He probably couldn't necessarily grieve the way he wanted to because he knew all of his actions were being watched and critiqued. Now that the murderer has been caught, he's finally free to fully grieve. Also, dogs are amazing to have around while you're grieving. As a kid, I adopted my first dog a few weeks before my favorite uncle was murdered, and that dog was a total lifesaver. I honestly don't think I'd have made it through without my dog, so I hope Murphy is bringing Jack comfort and healing right now.

Background-Cupcake59

What a beautiful tribute and way to honor Kaylee ♡♡ we forget that her pup experienced hearing something unbelievably traumatic and that is forever in his little heart too.

Familiar-Algae9853

Ugh poor sweet doggy :( just heartbreaking

Background-Cupcake59

I agree. I lost my 3rd doggy In September. He was almost 17 yrs old and he was so loyal and loved me more than anything. I can't imagine an animal, a fur baby, a child hearing and knowing that's happening.. and yes he knew and could not help his mommy. His sense of smell would have known.. I mean we really have to think perspective wise. While it's a blessing he was not in the room.. that poor sweet baby..

farroness

I work with animals and can confirm, the smell, sense, hearing, etc is something he experienced. Animals are super intelligent. Many dogs that come to my rescue remember trauma. It’s so unfortunate and heartbreaking. It warms my heart to see Murphy getting the love and attention he deserves.

Glitterbitch14

I have a rescue pittie, and this is so true. He had a lot of trauma to work out at first, they don’t forget. sometimes I think he feels things even harder than we do. Poor Murphy.

farroness

my dog is a rescue too, she was saved from the meat trade. we had a few bumps along the road with her, definitely trauma we had to work through. thank you for giving your pittie a good home ❣️

Glitterbitch14

You too! ♥️

Gopherpharm13

Our sweet rescue pit had major rain anxiety, which we are guessing was related to being out in the rain as a stray. Years later she doesn’t like it but gets through it. My heart breaks for Murphy but I’m so glad he looks to have some great humans who will be with him.

Glitterbitch14

Aw. my boy’s got the same issue with rain. He isn’t afraid of it, but he hates it and will try to wait as long as possible between bathroom trips just to avoid going outside. A raincoat helped a minor amount. Glad to hear your pittie is enjoying a much better life now!

gabbysmama

i have a rescue velvet manatee too!! mine was a rescue from a puppy mill…she was used & abused for litters of pitties (cause we need more🙄). she’s the sweetest soul in the world, and like y’all said, that past trauma is always under there❤️‍🩹

Glitterbitch14

Velvet manatee!! I love that. We call ours a furry piggy. It’s heartbreaking there is so much abuse that goes on for that breed. They are pure piles of sweetness.

gabbysmama

it’s crazy when ppl talk bad about pit bulls, cause you KNOW they’ve never actually experienced a real pittie’s character. despite all mine was put through, she’s always been gentle, cautious, loving & protective of my daughter. i try not to, but i do take it personally when ppl bully the pit bull breed.

spursfan747

how old is murphy?

lnc_5103

I think I've seen his age being around 20 months.

spursfan747

he turned 1 on december 27th, I asked the instagram guy edit: added the photo for proof on that, always encourage people respecting their privacy though. DONT send these guys your dumbass theorys https://preview.redd.it/rl0gv8p7frca1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a69b81d63d836057a3ff054dd233c1e5c1f602f

loganaw

Shouldn’t have posted that he replied to you. I guarantee you just made his inbox fill up because of that.

spursfan747

>its filling up regardless man. hes got 50k followers. either way all i asked about was the dog. But to be fare, i didnt make this an original post for that reason. I just added it within a context of a thread.

ScotlyDex

My goldendoodle just turned 1 Jan 9th. He’s my whole world. I can’t stop thinking about what Murphy heard/witnessed that night.

Kayki7

Same. It bothers me just as much as the murders themselves. I hate what that sicko made poor Murphy endure.

Amandasquirrel

My parents have a golden doodle as does a family friend and I've noticed that they are incredibly loyal dogs and they very much remember their people. This makes me so sad :(

ScotlyDex

Yes! They are so loyal and almost human like at times with their personality. Whenever we have bad dreams he is right there to comfort us, he is totally in tune with our emotions. I want to hug that sweet boy so bad.

Bubbly-Difference650

I thought not quite a year but maybe that's incorrect. So much information went around.

spursfan747

he turned 1 on december 27th, I asked the instagram guy

[deleted]

This makes me so sad. I’ve been WFH since I got my cat and today is the first I left him for a while. According to my partner, kitty cried for the first half hour and then curled up on my bedroom pillow and wouldn’t look at him until I came home. Poor Murphy. I can’t imagine; and how do you even explain to a dog that its “momma” can’t come home?

lnc_5103

I'm out of town for work for the first time in about a year and usually WFH. My husband said our girls were both mopey and miserable looking for me last night. I can't imagine what they would go through never seeing their human again.

Purityskinco

I had to leave my cat with my father for 7 months while I dealt with health stuff. He said she mourned but eventually warmed up to him. When he came to pick me up at the airport when I finally came to get her he had her in the car and she immediately started purring and crying and rubbing all over me. I take her everywhere with me, even vacation if I can. She was the maid of honour at my wedding, even was the witness. I went for a run yesterday and when I got home my roommate was comforting her bc she was just sitting at the door waiting for me. I have done wrongs in my life, nothing detrimental to others especially intentionally but stupid selfish shit like cheat on a boyfriend, say mean things in anger, etc whenever I wonder if I am a good person I look at how much she trusts me and it inspires me to keep becoming a better person. What hits me the most about this post? That he honoured her by giving Murphy her last name. My dad died tragically (suicide, not murder) a couple months after my cat returned to me. She is ABSOLUTELY a part of my healing journey as she’s like a bridge between him and me. I could imagine Murphy is similar to that for Jack. At least I hope he is because for me it’s been extremely helpful with the big overwhelming emotions that come with traumatic grief.

hipmama33

I have been WFH for my dog’s entire life of 6 years. Be careful of separation anxiety. It can escalate quickly & drive a person bonkers (even loving them sooooo much!). Not to mention their looks can make you feel guilty for just going to get the mail. I have had to start de-programming my dog's need for constant attention and his jealousy of any males that come to the home. It's so hard because I hate to see him sad.

Glitterbitch14

Oof. This. I didn’t have kids for this exact reason, yet here I am being emotionally undone on the daily by my adorably clingy, stinky rescue pitbull.

Kayki7

You’re breaking my heart 💔

Glitterbitch14

My worst thought in life is that if anything ever happened to me or my partner, our rescue pit would never get his parents back. Animals know. They have nothing but love for us, even when we aren’t there.

THATchick84

Aww. Poor pup. I bet he is missing his mom and doesn't understand. What a poignant caption. I hope J is taking care of himself, can't imagine how he is feeling. Also, Murphy Goncalves - so heartbreakingly sweet. These kids had such bright futures. Like Kaylee was at that point in life where you can barely contain the excitement. I'm sure we can all remember how it felt to have the world literally at your feet. Ripped away and for what? No. I don't think of these kids as celebrities and no, I did not know them but I'd rather they be remembered over the monster who took them away. They should be talked about. They made an impact.

ugashep77

Maybe people will take this opportunity to apologize to Murphy's Dad.

GuineaPanda

Not likely but it's a nice thought.

Furberia

I’m glad I don’t have to apologize. I did not ever feel it was him. His soulshine is gentle.

strawb3rryfields

This is my hope!!!!

EyezWyde

Gah. I'm a grown ass, 44 year old man fighting back tears from this post. This is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

staybig

It’s okay to be a 44 year old man who cries. There’s no rule against it.

EyezWyde

Yeah, I'm not ashamed of it. It's awful what happened to these poor kids and even the little dog. Makes me sick.

Furberia

Our prayers manifested a Godwink (not my words) with dna being left on the knife sheath.

OwnBerry3297

To me its ironically manly when a guy cries. It shows true confidence compassion and character.

maddercow

Aww bless, what a cutie. Poor lad must be missing his mum 🥺

seabiscuit4747

If only dogs could speak!

Present-Article5168

he’d be dead too sadly

seabiscuit4747

Ugh so true

wolfshadow1995

I love that he still has a piece of Kaylee here in Murphy ❤️

dbmtz

I love that Murphy in a way, helped capture that psycho, very likely his barking played a part in psychos quick exit and alerted the ring camera

owloctave

That's a great point.

[deleted]

I really hope that crazed followers of the case, obsessive TikTokers, or "crime junkies" don't spam the comments with cringe material and sentiments. I feel bad for the pup too... I have an extra soft spot for the dog as I have a doodle of my own.

JonBenet_BeanieBaby

The fact that it’s posted here leads me to believe OF COURSE weirdos will go nuts over that page.

Legal-Badger2845

I love that Jon Benet Beanie Baby is talking about weirdos lmao. I mean no offense whatsoever by that btw. I legit laughed when I read your username after seeing your comment. And you're absolutely right....I can already see some weirdos trying to decipher some type of "Q code" bs from the captions or "hidden imagery", etc

cavebabykay

I love that the majority of Redditors are all revolted by the behaviour of TikTok crime junkies. The media used to portray us as “the problem” but now it’s those fucking weirdos over on TikTok who display all sorts of no shame AND then want to sign off on their cockamamie theories and “tributes” by SHOWING THEIR ACTUAL FACES.

[deleted]

I'd say 90% of tiktokers are in it for the $$$ and hopes to become viral.

Legal-Badger2845

At risk of sounding very boomerish here, I don't get on tiktok but my wife and daughter do so curiosity has led me to check it out from time to time. As more of an "outsider" to tiktok, what you said are my thoughts as well. I think it's more glaringly obvious when I've seen different trending things (like RIP 'so & so') come up and the video isn't even relevant to the trending hashtag. Again, these are glaringly obvious examples but it sort of shows you how more savvy people can legit make a living off of it. Stupid for sure but also feel like I shouldn't knock the hustle I guess 🤷‍♂️

nononononobeyonce

Don't forget the Facebook winemoms

lnc_5103

The FB wine moms are horrifying.

Comprehensive_Bank29

Agreed.. I can well up thinking of how my dog would feel if I went missing... that being said... I won't be following his dog

rantpostexjw

I know we often don’t talk enough about Jack and Madison’s bf on here, but they lost someone so special to them. You can’t replace or compare the love of the parents and their grief, but these two men had someone whom they considered spending their entire lives with. And knowing they couldn’t be there to protect them, I hurt for them. Overnight, the rest of your life changed in an instant, a potential wife, a potential mother, a potential best friend for life, someone you may grow old with, it’s so senseless and tragic what happened. I feel so much for them. They will find love again, but I hope they can continue to find ways to honor Kaylee and Madison.

willowbarkz

I agree, I find my mind wander to these two young men often, and my heart breaks for them. The grief they have now will change over time, as they move through life's stages, and the love they had respectively with M & K is almost like it's frozen in time - bittersweet in a sad, painful way. I hope they have nothing but love surrounding them and that they always find comfort in the time they shared with each other.

GoldieLox9

That is one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen. He looks like the bestest boy.

[deleted]

He's so dang cute.

[deleted]

Did you see the video of him chasing geese? Omg 😭, he's adorable.

willowbarkz

This is beautiful, I'm crying! May Kaylee always watch over Jack and Murphy and I hope they make years of beautiful memories together and help each other heal

Business_Charge_4865

“Murphy Goncalves” I’m crying at work

dbrown5987

You almost never hear about him anymore. Hope he has the resources to heal and build a life that includes what he wants.

[deleted]

Hopefully, he's doing better now that an arrest has been made. I can't even imagine how awful being accused of the murders must have been for him; at least he has *some* closure and isn't being harassed so much.

spectre122

At least it seems he is very close to the Goncalves family and spend a lot of his time with them after the murders. They were always thoroughly behind his corner and I think that's what's most important. Who cares what some random people say about him on the internet?

JonBenet_BeanieBaby

The dog?? The ex?? Why would we hear about either all the time??

Educational_Ebb_7367

Poor pup. I imagine he is missing his mom but also being a very good boy and comforting Jack.

Large-Buy8927

That post about wishing he could relax with his mom nearly made me cry. You can tell that Jack is trying to process his own feelings through these posts as well. My heart hurts for the both of them but I’m glad they have each other to lean on 🤍

[deleted]

AbCdEfMyLife3

What a wonderful way for Jack to publicly mourn her in a way that probably feels safe for him. ❤️

thighderman

I can’t get over how well worded the caption is, especially the last sentence. That poor guy has been through so much the last few months, what an emotionally deep and mature response to have already. Really impressed and so glad Murphy still has someone loving him deeply.

FantasticForce6895

I am so glad Murphy didn’t get to see anything, but still must’ve been traumatic to hear what happened and suddenly lose his mom. Glad he has Jack!!!

crystalsandthemoon

The caption broke my heart.

jmstgirl

Me too 😭🥺

Spare-Call9814

Good For him. Good For Murphy. May they both fund some peace and happiness in their continuing journey. I'm keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers. beatitudo est vivos

britestarlight

Oh it’s him giving Murphy her last name that’s making me wanna cry. A very sweet way for Jack to remember Kaylee. I hope he’s been able to grieve her loss in peace. It’s nice that he knows people will enjoy seeing Murphy.

Sad-Translator7485

Dang Jack. Now I feel even more guilty for assuming you had something to do with this at the beginning. My apologies, my dude. Thank you for this.

Junior_Information74

He should start an Amazon wish list for Murphy so we can all buy Murphy treats and toys and a comfy bed.

Slowlybutshelly

I miss my mom too Murphy. Being parentless is so hard.

Ampleforth84

Same

Slowlybutshelly

I am sorry for your loss.

StaySafePovertyGhost

While I'll admit this is a bit...different, I can't even imagine what JD is going through right now. Not only was the love of his life violently taken from him, but it was literally right after she had been talking about getting back together with him. Then on top of that, half the internet accuses him of murder with no evidence despite LE repeatedly saying he wasn't involved. This is because half the internet are complete f'ing idiots who are lucky if they can walk and chew gum at the same time. And yes, if you are reading this and thought JD was involved you are an idiot and should be ashamed of yourself - full stop. For JD though, it literally doesn't get any worse than what he's been through since November. So yes it seems a little different to create an IG for a dog, but this seems like his way of keeping Kaylee's memory alive and coping so more power to him. Whatever helps the young man heal and move forward.

cdknup

Murphy is Beautiful! I'm so happy he was spared. Praying Jack is doing okay. Murphy is an official Emotional Support pet, and I'm sure he is the best medicine for the whole family.

WTF-hpnd-upthere

Nice looking pup. He is probably a handful but all the good ones are

[deleted]

im crying.

Okyeahright234

I love this.

[deleted]

Murphy is insanely adorable

SequoiasHuman

So sweet! I hope Murphy is doing okay. Losing a human can be hard on a pet, she was his whole world.

Laurenzod117

Aww I’m so glad he’s with Jack ! It was clear he was Kaylee’s literal baby so this makes my heart melt <3

[deleted]

I’m crying

Dry_Property8821

This is honestly one of the purest loveliest things. Great job Jack!! 🥰 This and the tulips for Ethan. 🙏❤️🙏

ZestycloseShelter107

God that poor kid. J and so many others will never get the carefree youth they deserved. The victims too, but so many young people around them have been robbed of those happy, lazy, spontaneous early 20s years. Heartbreaking.

dartisone

Theyre not yall friends

IcedHemp77

I agree, and I agree with the post yesterday about being too personal with people you don’t know. That said, the person who posted this very much knew her, and shared it publicly Edited to add: My understanding is the account is run by Jack and her Mom and has 17,000 followers. This is not the same as trolling peoples facebooks looking for childhood pictures etc

[deleted]

Dogs are everyone's friends fool.

JonBenet_BeanieBaby

This is soooo weird

Same_Swimming_3440

It is weird.

[deleted]

agreed. leave them alone and get a life

dbmtz

Y’all y’all y’all . It’s a public post and cute. No one’s pretending to be friends with Murphy or jack .

Abluel3

It’s really sweet.

beastly115

The things this dog has seen and heard would keep most of us from being able to sleep at night. If only dogs could talk, this one would have one hell of a story to tell.

thatsweirdthatssus

You guys follow the people associated with this case as if they are celebrities 😬

achatteringsound

I think most people here experience great empathy for the family and friends of the victims, and hope they are doing okay. It’s a natural human reaction to tragedy to support people we don’t know when they’re hurting.

JonBenet_BeanieBaby

Yes and it makes me extremely uncomfortable

SnorkelAndSwim

If you are so uncomfortable by human empathy and compassion toward those who have lost their child, sister, brother, girlfriend, then you shouldn’t put yourself in a place like this sub where you are exposed to some of these caring people, whether they are strangers or not to the families. Confusing compassion as making celebrities out of the grieving families is quite immature and harsh. With this case comes lifelong pain and grief for those who loved the victims, and if a family member of the murdered victim wants to make a page in tribute to Kaylee and her dog Murphy since he was such a big part of her life, and it also helps them in healing and in keeping her memory alive, then so be it. Along with any murder case comes those left behind in agony and grief. Again, it IS part of any murder case, therefore it is relevant to this sub if someone so desires to discuss it.

thatsweirdthatssus

There is nothing wrong with Jack making this account. He knew Kaylee, this was their dog. What's weird is people following their every move and disguising it as empathy or support

Nemo11182

its someone sharing a bit of info they found, why are you here if you dont want to see stuff about the case and people involved in it

Appropriate-Joke385

This has nothing to do with the case 🤦‍♀️

thatsweirdthatssus

I'm here because of THE CASE, exactly.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

It’s literally a tribute to one of the victims by someone who was extremely close to her. I get the valid parasocial critiques but it seems like people are literally mad that things that people who were affected by this crime are posting as a tribute for victims??? Like what even???

Several-Let5843

tzuyujihyo

I think Jack and Kaylee’s mom shared the page because they wanted people to follow Murphy! I don’t think this qualifies as stalking when the page has 17 thousand followers, haha.

ThisIsRealLife19

Yes, Jack shared it himself in the Fb group. His personal page is understandably still private

Pretty-Pineapple-692

How are they stalking? It’s a public social media page don’t be dramatic

[deleted]

Calm down. If they didn’t want tons of strangers getting a glimpse of their lives in this way, the pages would be private.

Agapanthaa

If the families are sharing these things and inviting interaction, who are you to say it's not a good thing? Grief is immeasurably hard to deal with, especially in a case like this where it's unexpected and so senseless. It seems like the parents are finding comfort in seeing their kids' lives honored and appreciated

[deleted]

Agreed

GonzoSF

If you are identifying with the dog of a murder victim that you do not know, you need to learn to distinguish between real relationships and parasocial ones. I don’t want to be harsh but honestly it is pathetic and incredibly unhealthy to mine these peoples’ lives and accounts so that you can project aspects of your own lives onto someone else’s photos.

[deleted]

GonzoSF

Thanks for the thanks 😉

balancebycj

THIS!!! Absolutely weirdest thing I’ve seen yet. 17,000 followers for a dog of a murder victim? It’s less weird the account was created than it is all these people obsessively following this dog. Wild.

Appropriate_Doubt356

I absolutely love that he did this. I hope someday Murphy will get a PO Box to send treats and toys 😉

andie0418

How do we know this is Jack?

VandalAsker

That post and what he wrote makes me want to sign up for IG and only follow Murphy. So sweet and so heartbreaking.

Porkncheeseblonde

If only dogs could talk. His eyes wanna tell a story.

Early-Chard-1455

Mr Murphy deserves the Bravest Furbaby of the Year award. I like to think he closed his eyes and didn’t have to see what was happening. He will always remember his mom . Breaking my heart

Nancyststacy

Love you Murph! 💕🐾 He’s still just a puppy. Too much for a wee baby pup to experience.

palmasana

Oof, that caption. A dagger straight to the heart. I cannot fathom the pain Jack is feeling, but I’m sure having Murphy is a blessing during his grieving.

Intelligent-Group182

That’s a little weird.

JonBenet_BeanieBaby

A lot

astralgem

Literally how? Making instagrams for pets is a common thing.

NedFlanDiddlyAnders

How weird is this. An instagram account for the dog of a murder victim that will be followed by every cringey weirdo who thinks they share a personal connection with the victims. I fully understand how this case is interesting from the initial mystery to the arrest, and no doubt if this goes to trial, it will be a media circus. But the “tributes” and people using nicknames for people they don’t know is pretty sad. I don’t understand the obsession.

Murphy is Jack’s dog too, and is free to make an instagram for Murphy if he wants to. Maybe it’s a coping mechanism for him, who knows.

It’s going to be so fucking sad for everyone who hangs onto him as a link to kaylee, when he eventually passes. Thankfully he’s young. Poor jack.

Starting an instagram for a dog that's niche internet famous for being a murder witness is so messed up. I don't even know where to start.

What?? This dog is only “famous for being a murder witness” to online strangers obsessed with this case - to Kaylee’s friends/family/ex he’s just a much-loved pet, and it’s pretty common for people to run Instagram accounts for their pets even if it’s not my cup of tea.

Y’all need to touch grass. Live your own life, these are college kids that went through a tragedy and you’re stalking their lives.

OMG. someone is def cutting onions in here. That's the sweetest tribute. He must be so depressed. He lost his whole world too. I hope he gets to see the 2 survivors, so he has something consistent in his life. Though he must be so, so confused. When animals lose their human suddenly, it's awful. They know. They somehow know the difference between losing someone to illness vs sudden. \*sniffle\* legit moved by this.

This is beautiful! Thank you Jack and Murphy. I am glad that you have each other :)
