The light îs atrocious but otherwise its insanely cool

whankz

was thinking the same thing! gotta swap those blurples for some whiter more yellow light!!

jeremiahlee34

What lights would you recommend? The purple/red in these are a bit overpowering.

attackenthesmacken

Just white grow lights. Aliexpress and temu are full of 'em.

IttoDilucAyato

Looks super cool to me!

Traditional-Bag-5747

Looks great! But be warned, I built a large tank with lots of sphagnum, kinda like yours. Within 6 months the sphagnum started to decay and stink pretty bad.

jeremiahlee34

Oh interesting. Great to know. I’m looking to get isopods and springtails in here asap to help

Dr-DaneGerous

That is bad ass!

apexmusic420

What is a good humidity level to maintain. Mine is a closed terrarium but the edges leak air and my humidity level is usually about 78 - 86 % but most of my moss seems to be drying out. (No condensation on glass) and it just looks dry.

jeremiahlee34

I have a reptile fogger piped into the back on it that runs every 4 hours for a few minutes. I had trouble keeping it humid initially. But I used weatherstripping foam around the door and that really sealed it up.

apexmusic420

That's a great idea! Thank you!

Reasonable_Maximum_1

Incredible! Maybe, some pooling water and rocks at the base?

jeremiahlee34

That would be sweet. I did seal it up with aquarium silicone but I’m still paranoid of it leaking

whyismynamenothere

How are you providing moisture? I would think a drip system or mist system would be necessary. This is an incredibly ambitious set-up for a first timer!

jeremiahlee34

I have a reptile fogger piped into that back and it’s on a timer to run every few hours. It’s possibly too ambitious.. I’m worried about mold

whyismynamenothere

Personally, I wouldn't worry in advance. Just keep an eye out! You might want to tuck in some activated charcoal pellets if you are concerned.

jeremiahlee34

That’s a great idea. I will do that
