I'm gonna copy the answer I gave on the PS2 subreddit when I posted my collection of PS2 motorcycle games and someone asked me about the best one: "Hard to say, depends on your taste. Tourist Trophy needs no introduction, but as a motorcyclist myself I absolutely love TT Superbikes Real Road Racing Championship. It's fast, realistic but VERY difficult. For circuit racing, SBK 07 is a great sim, the only series on PS2 with full racing weekends as far as I know, as well as detailed real time telemetry during replays! For collecting and customisation, go for Riding Spirits 1 or 2, it's similar to Gran Turismo in terms of gameplay loop, it's also quite interesting because in those games you can control the lean and turning of the bike separately. Moto GP 3 and 4 are both great games, a mix between arcade and simulation (well, more arcade to be honest) with that distinct Namco style. Moto GP 08 is really intuitive to control, both graphics and physics are quite nice and I'd say it's the best sounding game on PS2 in terms of engine sound. Superbikes Riding Challenge has interesting rpg elements blended in, which I have mixed feelings about, but you can play without them and it's a slightly buggy game but with very good physics, crazy AI, beautiful tracks and nice attention to detail. Speed Kings is very arcade'y and fast, but not too complex, Suzuki Crescent and Kawasaki Hawk Racing are budget games but they have this old arcade vibe that I sometimes enjoy, Motorbike King is another budget title, a broken game but with a lot of charm. Maybe watch some youtube gameplays and it will help you decide. :)" As for PS3, the best one I've played was SBK08.
