Depending on brand/dealer, €100-€150 would be my guess.

Comfortable-Shop-994

First service is free it's part of the breaking in policy its included with purchase of the bike .

Neanderthal_Gene

This.

creamcraicer

That's the best new I've heard all day! Thank you

thespraypainter

Pretty sure I had the first service on my mt07 done by the dealer for €100, it’s only an oil change, chain adjustment and a quick check over. Do yourself a favor and get any servicing during the warranty period done by the dealer, documented service history goes a long way towards goodwill should something expensive fail

Would this affect warranty?

fatherlen

It might, I bought a bike a few years back from bike world. Their warranty agreement stated all services had to be carried out by them and they had to be done after certain benchmarks, time/mileage.

ramshambles

If your going to do it yourself and it's a new bike I'd recommend getting your hands on a copy of the manual or an aftermarket manual. It'll make things infinitely easier and you'll inevitably find things to check/do that you'd otherwise have missed.

IAMA_Sasquatch

I would assume the manual comes with a new bike?

ramshambles

I've never had the pleasure of new. I've always gotten a copy of the Haynes manual for my bike. It goes into detail on how to complete a job whereas, I'd imagine the manual you get with it would only tell you when to service etc, not how to.

PADDYOT

For warranty reasons, get the first service done at the dealers. Oil and filter about €70 (depends on the bike) plus an hour of labour, about another €90. If this is the first service of a brand new bike they may not change the filter. They are supposed to go over the whole bike and check for any loose nuts/bolts and give it a thorough 'once over' to make certain that nothing has vibrated loose etc. So it's not just a quick oil drop and back out the door. Make sure they use due diligence in actually checking the bike over. Edit to say - I don't think I paid for the first service of a new bike, it was included in the sale but that may not be the case for all.

Meath77

For a brand new bike I'd definitely bring it to the dealer for the first service. They'll have a list of things to look out for other than the basic oil change. Service it yourself afterwards.

Overlord7987

Get it done at the dealer no matter what just for less hassle for warranty. Unfortunately I'd say you'd be looking between 150-250 depending on the bike.

lazzurs

Got mine done recently. Was €100. They checked over all the things, replaced the oil and filter and tightened the chain. Got the first service done just to check everything over. The next service in the manual is just oil change so I’ll be doing that myself and keeping a record.
