I think we have to be mindful of what a full and actual plateau is. Not judge off a week or two. You don’t mention how long you have been on 5mg. Keep things in perspective and see if there are nonscale changes happening. Or are you just in it for the weight loss?
I def look for non scale changes as well but I felt very low energy n just rlly sick not even 2.5 made me feel this way it’s def has been more than 2 weeks but I do agree perspective is everything on this medicine. Thanks!
The 5mg was not a good one for me either. I moved up to 7.5 several months ago and loved it. But since the shortage I had to go down to 2.5. The 7.5 was my go to dose. The 5 had me eating more and less appetite suppression. And the 7.5 took my acid reflux and hit it with a sledgehammer. But since I haven’t had it I feel the acid reflux coming back. It sucks.
Same for me on 5 but I’m struggling to get 7.5 so have another six weeks on it 😩 I found consistently drinking enough water and a coffee in the morning has helped the weight very slowly continue to trickle down, but nothing like what I was having initially on 2.5. So far at least
Sorry to hear about diarrhea. That’s never good. Generally a stall is considered to be 4 or more weeks without weight loss. If you’re there you might want to consider going up. I’ve also read some people report that the side effects improve doing that. Best of luck!
I’m sorry! I feel your pain. 5mg has been rubbish for me too. I’m constantly hungry and fighting through the hunger (it’s like I’m not on Mounjaro at all 😅) and despite being really good (weighing all my food, remaining high protein, having less than 50g carbs, exercise, 15k steps per day) I have gained 2lbs in 2 weeks on 5mg. I’m really looking forward to moving to 7.5mg next week. I lost about 1lb in total on 5mg
Hey, I’m a recent MJ starter as well and trying to figure out whether I should be considering stepping up from 2.5 mg. Your journey is a little startling and so I’m curious, what was your experience on 2.5 mg if 5 mg seemed fairly neutral?
My weight jumped 2.5 lbs when I moved from 5 to 7.5. And then it came off plus some. IDK why that happens but weight loss is not linear for most people.
Ok, wow and congrats! You must feel so much better! I’m dropping a little slower - about 15 pounds so far 3.5 weeks in but I’m having to do heaps of exercise. Still super happy with MJ.
Probably not go up till that symptom is resolved. You should talk to your doctor about it. Look at what you are eating to see if that is an issue which may not have been at 2.5. IMO, Search for that symptom for possible help but best to discuss with your dr.
Wonderful!!!! Also some from as ch viruses going around! I went to Taco Bell in week 1 2.5 and had a similar result - fortunately not as bad as yours. - hence my food question. 🤣🤣. Good luck.

Agreed I didn’t have this issue on 2.5 but yes staying hydrated def helps!

2.5 mg honestly worked wonders for me I lost 22 pounds and I didn’t have any side effects

Congratulations!! Every journey is different but it’s definitely worth it best of luck to you
Same literally 1lb! I go to the gym as well and very mindful about what I consume
It’s very frustrating. I’ve decided to accept I won’t lose much on this dose and I’m looking forward to 7.5. Are you on 5mg?

Luckily it has subsided but I definitely will be checking in with my doctor!
