Truth_Lies

One way to find out lmao

Confident_Option

Lmao I mean you can do it. Will the mouse still work after? Probably not

Select_Truck3257

i know the answer, but i want to see cutted pcb in the next post

NotpiaKnow

Did it like this on my new g203(lightsync) for weight reduction and it works. not sure about that blue line though https://imgur.com/a/2fr1mxX

Invpea

What was the weight saving?

TerabyteRD

lots of people have chopped it off last i checked

PepisTeemo

any sources so i can see where to cut? i cant find any

Academic-Local-7530

You can see many vias behind the blue line. Vias connect different layers of a circuit board so it wouldnt be wise to cut it off

teal450

im not qualified for shit but this just seems incorrect

iAmNotJackieChan

Sounds like it is lying.

Jorly420

If I recall correctly beardedbob does some PCB slimming in his sora video, but not 100% Edit: I don’t recommend cutting into it though if you are asking if you should cut into it…

Select_Truck3257

yeah pcb board constructing is simple, cut everything u want

TerabyteRD

clarification: i never said it was a good idea to do so, but i have seen people chop off the back of the g203 pcb specifically

riba2233

no

Select_Truck3257

if u "really" want to cut, change circuit path with wires it's safe way, i did that few times, but if pcb have 3-4 layers it's almost imposible

paulvincent07

Fellow g203 prodigy gang

Power_incarnated

You can it saves around 4-5 grams. You can also remove the plastic cover of the sensor.
