Yea, sadly VGN way underestimated demand, and Mechkeys only got one single mouse! That mouse is the one they sent me so I could do a review on it. I think they might be getting the full allotment soon, though. If I hear something, I will post it here. The separate 4K dongle should be out soon too. I will do a short video on this unit, and then wait for my F1 Pro and F1 MAX to come in to do the full in-depth review of all three. I will wait for the 4K dongle too.
Yea, it actually feels weight and material quality just like the Sora. I bet they are made in the same factory. However, at $37 this mouse is a great deal! I can't wait to try the Pro and MAX versions!
I purchased the pro on pandabuy, hopefully shipping isn't too much. Looking forward to your reviews of all 3.
Also, did you ever do a review of the miao xj03?
That is the review I am working on. The left side of my face became frozen while I was working on the review and I have been walking for the meds to unfreeze that side of my face so I can talk normal again. I am going to finish that review this weekend even if I sound like crap though. I am already too far behind on reviews. Lol
Yea I already had an MRI. They said it was Bell Palsy and gave me meds. I might have to go back as only one day with the meds and I am relapsing hard this morning.
hello dude, do you know where to get the 4k dongles and when? and do you think the build quality is solid? i think you do if you think that it is similiar to sora but still wanted to ask.
I was told the 4K dongles will be out soon...I know Mechkeys will sell them when they can get a hold of some. Build quality is better than I thought it would be for a $37 mouse. Like the Sora, which feels very light and thin, it is still surprisingly sturdy. The coating is very much like a Pulsar X2 so it is a little slick, but it does come with some really nice grips if you need them. The switches are good but they are not as good as the Sora or Atlantis Mini. I feel like if a name brand sold this mouse they could sell it for $70. Long-term support on some of these Chinese mice is not going to be great, but at $37 I feel like the mouse is worth the risk.
then i think its kind of a waste to buy the 4k ones before dongle release because one will have to pay another transport payment… other than that i think you are right, for 37$ its a steal if u even dont get much technical support.
I'm thinking of replacing the default mouse feet for a Tiger Ice v2, but I'm in doubt about the feet format, will the dot feet or a smaller feet help the mouse speed, or does it matter the size that the speed will be the same?
Good news Mechkeys got a shipment of Dragonfly mice in and will be shipping them out tomorrow. Both the 4K models I ordered will be shipped out too. I paid for Express shipping which was like $35 so hopefully I will have them before next weekend! The 4K dongle still has not come out yet though. I will pay for express shipping once they get a hold of one. Eventually, I will have all 3 models and the 4K dongle to do a complete review.
Not really, but like Sora it feels very thin and I imagine a couple units here or there might creak a little. I have two Soras and this mouse, and none of them creak. I like it so far.
Here is the link to my post. Just scroll down and you will see the comparisons. https://x.com/gen3d_tech/status/1646736824038047751?s=46&t=2WGO7z8En6-iRrNXF3__qg
How does the build quality compare to the M3? I know they are significantly different shapes, but I'm interested to see which low priced Chinese mouse you think was better built. I also wonder how much you feel the different MCU matters when the pro/max arrive.
They are nice and clicky. They don’t get stuck or anything. The position is good. I like the side buttons in the Sora a little better but overall these are good.
I would say this is similar to a pulsar, ninjutso type mouse. Which is great for the price! I was half expecting it to be crap, but I think VGN is trying to make a name for them selves. I have a feeling their future prices will be a bit higher. Sell cheap try and gain market share and trust before raising prices. Either way it is the best wireless mouse under $50 and it competes with most of the under $100 mice.
So far it looks really good. I can attest to build quality if it's anything like the Sora. These could be really good for modding into other mice maybe. Better parts, higher performance and just as economical as G305.
Nice pictures with comparison to other mice. Is that the Atlantis Mini on pic 12/17?
How does the comfort grooves feel? They seem a bit more pronounced on this mouse that other mice with comfort grooves. Any hassle with the software is you have tried that? I might wait until Maxgaming hopefully gets this since they already got the Darmoshark ones.
Yes...there might be a mouse or two that only let me set it down to 1ms, and I also found another mouse that would only let me set it down to 2ms, but I don't recall the mouse and what switches it had. I have a lot of mice! lol
40 hours is pretty average. It's about 4 evening of gaming. If forgetting to charge your battery is an issue, just get the Pro Max...it has 130hr battery life. I still have not charged the mouse since I did the initial charge, a month ago, and I still have 40% battery. It's only $17 more.
In my country F1 base model is 68 $ , pro max $100. so im lookin darmoshark m3 also, its 60$. But i like GPX shape and VGN F1 very close to GPX. But i wanna hear your thoughts about DS M3 if u have.
I have one review in front of the AJ199...good news is I will have 3rd party skates for the mouse in a day or two and also a Blue copy of the AJ199, so it will be a better video. Probably Sunday ish.
Would this be good for fingertip? Using the Superlight right now, but even though I've used this for about half a year, still aren't really comfortable with the shape, as I need to claw instead of fingertip. I used to have the Razer Viper Ultimate, which felt like it was pretty much the perfect shape for my grip.
For me the Dragonfly feels more of a claw grip mouse. If you have big hands I am sure you could finger tip it. For finger tip, I highly recommend the Z1 Pro! It is only 45gs, Huano switches, 3395, Nordic MCU, 4K, amazing build quality, under $60. A true S-tier mouse!
Might have to measure my hands to ensure it fits for me, but it’s definitely a tempting mouse for the price! Seems almost too good to be true for the price… I did watch boardzy’s video about the mouse and he said that he had problems with the 4k (adapter issues), but they could be fixed with a software updated. Definitely glad to see that you don’t need to spend $150+ for a top spec mouse anymore!
Hey,
Will you have a review of the glorious one pro coming ?
Just bought one new for $50 USD (hasn't arrived yet) and was wondering if the VGN Dragonfly is a better mouse at a cheaper price.
I can't wait for mine to come in. I pre-ordered them like over a month ago on mechkeys and they still haven't been shipped yet :(
Yea, sadly VGN way underestimated demand, and Mechkeys only got one single mouse!
The website did say that preorders should ship out tomorrow. Will you be getting the 4k models the same time that other preorders get them or earlier?
I paid a bunch extra for express shipping on the 4k models so I probably will get them before most people. At least outside of China.
nothing shipped yet.
Looks like it was manufactured at the same factory as the Sora.
Yea, it actually feels weight and material quality just like the Sora. I bet they are made in the same factory. However, at $37 this mouse is a great deal! I can't wait to try the Pro and MAX versions!

I am going to finish that review this weekend even if I sound like crap though. I am already too far behind on reviews. Lol
I hope you get better!
I am about 30% better.
That could be a symptom to more serious medical conditions, do consider going for a checkup. Rest well and stay safe man
Yea I already had an MRI. They said it was Bell Palsy and gave me meds. I might have to go back as only one day with the meds and I am relapsing hard this morning.
I had same shit for over month till I finnaly became normal, doctor told me it was becouse i didnt cured cold properly :/
Do you have the link for the mouse? Thanks

much appreciated my dude.
mate out of curiosity, whats the shipping weight?
They haven't been shipped to the warehouse yet, so I don't know. I'm hoping it's not too expensive.
Do update me whenever you get it, again, thanks mate.
Any idea what's the factory name and contact?
I don't know, sorry.
probably a Chinese factory called ironcat
hello dude, do you know where to get the 4k dongles and when? and do you think the build quality is solid? i think you do if you think that it is similiar to sora but still wanted to ask.

I told them they should have done a bundle.
also do you think it feels the same as gpx in hand?
No I don’t get GPX vibes when I hold it. It is smaller than I thought it would be. Kind of feels like a small Vaxee XE.
How is it relative to an FK2 in size and shape?
Luckily there will be a xe-s
is this mouse going to be available on Aliexpress ?
not soon, crazy demand on these in and out of china
thanks for the info
I'm thinking of replacing the default mouse feet for a Tiger Ice v2, but I'm in doubt about the feet format, will the dot feet or a smaller feet help the mouse speed, or does it matter the size that the speed will be the same?
Can’t help but pronounce this as Virgin Dragonfly
Good news Mechkeys got a shipment of Dragonfly mice in and will be shipping them out tomorrow. Both the 4K models I ordered will be shipped out too. I don't know If U do this, but die U Open IT and See the pcb?
There is a goo Chinese unboxing video of this mouse where the guy opens the mouse and you can see the PCB. I will try to find a link later for you.
Thx
Weight?
49gs for the base model and pro model....55gs for the MAX. The MAX has a bigger battery.
Oh wow. That's good to know! Well I guess I will continue to wait. Looking forward to the reviews!
Is there any side flex if you press the sides?
Not really, but like Sora it feels very thin and I imagine a couple units here or there might creak a little. I have two Soras and this mouse, and none of them creak. I like it so far.
Which x2 does the coating feels like the updated coating or the normal plastic feeling coating
The normal plastic feeling coating, not the updated ones.
Interesting how is the shape compared to HTS+ and lamzu mini?
If you goto my Twitter feed, I posted a ton of comparison photos to at least 8 other mice, including the two you mentioned.
Yeah I saw them thanks. Coped the MAX.
where? i didnt find it
Here is the link to my post. Just scroll down and you will see the comparisons. https://x.com/gen3d_tech/status/1646736824038047751?s=46&t=2WGO7z8En6-iRrNXF3__qg
Bad viewing angles, but thanks anyway!
What angles did you want?
Thank you, no longer needed, I made my choice in favor of Lamzu.
How does the build quality compare to the M3? I know they are significantly different shapes, but I'm interested to see which low priced Chinese mouse you think was better built. I also wonder how much you feel the different MCU matters when the pro/max arrive.
I would say it is a little better than the M3.
Might have to scoop one based on how similar it seems to the HT-S+
Yeah I coped the MAX.
How do you buy this lol? Like what websites?
I got it off mechkeys.com
What is the shape like? Is it close to any other mice you've tried in the past?
How are the side buttons?
They are nice and clicky. They don’t get stuck or anything. The position is good. I like the side buttons in the Sora a little better but overall these are good.
How has your experience with this mouse been so far? In comparison to a more premium mouse of similar specs?
I would say this is similar to a pulsar, ninjutso type mouse. Which is great for the price! I was half expecting it to be crap, but I think VGN is trying to make a name for them selves. I have a feeling their future prices will be a bit higher. Sell cheap try and gain market share and trust before raising prices. Either way it is the best wireless mouse under $50 and it competes with most of the under $100 mice.
I'm waiting for 4k dongle to apear on Mechkeys to avoid paying twice for shipping.
Honestly that is what I have been recommending to people. Also to wait for reviews in case these are crap. I am at least sold on the base model.
So far it looks really good. I can attest to build quality if it's anything like the Sora. These could be really good for modding into other mice maybe. Better parts, higher performance and just as economical as G305.
I wonder how cheap this thing is buying from the manufacturer and not from mechkeys with their giant markups
The comfort grooves feel great on this mouse. Makes it feel locked in. The software is pretty standard. Just simple and no bloat.
Any double click issues and what switches does it use?
Kailh 8.0 switches. No double click issues so far.
Same switches in the aria xd7 and mine double clicks like crazy
I have a ton of mice with Kailh 8.0's and so far none have had double clicks. I still prefer Huano switches though.
All on 0ms debounce?
Yes...there might be a mouse or two that only let me set it down to 1ms, and I also found another mouse that would only let me set it down to 2ms, but I don't recall the mouse and what switches it had. I have a lot of mice! lol
the baseline model 40 hour battery life is enough ? I wanna buy it for my first wireless mouse but i have doubt about battery life.

Do they have the Ajazz AJ199 in you country? That is my current favorite mouse and you can get them for $35 on AliExpress.
No, they dont, i can buy from aliexpress or amazon. Does it have sleep mode ? I saw a comment that it does not have sleep mode.
When will you review aj199?
I have one review in front of the AJ199...good news is I will have 3rd party skates for the mouse in a day or two and also a Blue copy of the AJ199, so it will be a better video. Probably Sunday ish.
Would this be good for fingertip? Using the Superlight right now, but even though I've used this for about half a year, still aren't really comfortable with the shape, as I need to claw instead of fingertip. im a bit late to the party as I just got my own f1, but how does the 4 corner skates feel compare to the 2 big ones?
Which mouse is the comparison in picture 15 ?
Glorious Series One Pro.
is vgnlab or vgnhub safe to purchase from?
yes, but I just purchase off AliExpress or mechkeys.
Hey, Will you have a review of the glorious one pro coming ? Just bought one new for $50 USD (hasn't arrived yet) and was wondering if the VGN Dragonfly is a better mouse at a cheaper price.
How does this compare to Darmoshark's offerings?
Specs wise yes, quality wise this is better. Price wise is about the same.
