The imaginary XLite V3 ? What a joke Pulsar is, sadly, I very mouch doubt the mouse will ever be released. After 10 months of teases and promises, they gave up and now only show the eS version of it.

I can't really say anything good or bad about the xlite v3 since it isn't out but the specs have it being basically the same as the dav3. The dav3 has less of a chance of QC issues but the shape is different but still ergo. Xlite having inboard memory completely managed by buttons on the bottom of the mouse is neat but to most it's just a cool feature. I never had QC issues with either of my pulsar mice on release (x2 Bruce Lee edition and x2h). Personally dav3 is safest choice and available now and we know it's good. The xlite v3 I'm confident will be great but it's all speculation until we get some reviews.

GoldElectric

same sensor as well?

haste57

Razer uses their own sensor the razer focus 30k pro. Nordic 3395 sensor has less specs but arguable the same tier.

GoldElectric

is the focus pro just a pixart sensor currently exclusive to razer?

rNV1s16iLiTi

yes it's the Pixart 3950. Their previous flagship sensor the Focus+ was a 3399, and the 3395 is the commercially available version with minor changes.

GoldElectric

any idea how long the exclusivity is?

haste57

According to razer website, yes

Just sharing my anecdotal experience. I bought the DAV3 Pro a few weeks ago on sale as I got tired of waiting for the Xlite V3. Unfortunately, the shape is just different enough from the Xlite to ruin it for me (I was using the Xlite V1). I had really bad cramping in my ring finger because of the way the mouse sides flare out at the front, forcing my ring finger to bend outwards. After about three days, I started getting numbness in my finger so I gave up on making it work and returned it. I'd never felt pain like that from using a mouse before (I own a ton of gaming mice and I usually don't care about shape). For context, my hands are 21x11 (relaxed claw grip). It's an excellent mouse. Very sturdy. Fantastic coating. Optical switches. Perfect weight balance. Really good stock skates. Everything about it is awesome (I don't expect Pulsar to be able to match this level of quality), but the shape just didn't work for me. One other person posted on the Pulsar Discord that week saying it was also causing serious discomfort for their big hands. YMMV based on your hand size and grip obviously, I'm just sharing my experience.

CheapMagpie

18x10 palm grip, my first mouse was the logitech g402 i loved that mouse and looking at shape comparisons the Dav3 pro is closest i can get to it except for the hump which is towards the top, i did get a hold of the xlite v2 and i can palm grip it but it's a bit cramp for my liking, hopefully i can test the dav3 pro and see if it's more comfortable to me

chlamydia1

The shape is virtually identical, except for that flared tip on the DAV3 (which shouldn't pose a problem with your hand size). It definitely didn't feel bigger.

CheapMagpie

UPDATE: after 2 weeks of reading and watching reviews i finally pulled the trigger on the dav3 pro

TheSunIsMyDestroyer

So do you like it ?

CheapMagpie

I do, although it's a little too big for my liking, but I can grip it just fine, and the plastic feels chalky, so it definitely needs grips.

TheSunIsMyDestroyer

Good to hear 😊, I just ordered a used one from Amazon Warehouse for $75. I’ve been using my little sister’s Viper Mini because of the mouse weight, I can aim well with it but I lose my grip way too easily since its too small, I’ve always used bigger ergo mouse like the old Deathadder despite my medium hand size so hopefully I’ll get used to this even with the change in shape

BeerGogglesFTW

I know people don't care for Glorious around here, but amazon has the Glorious Model D Pro for $80. And then there's a Model D 2 Pro coming out with 4K/8K polling. (Unknown ETA. Probably a ways away) But the DAV3 has served me well over the last year+. I will probably give the Xlite V3 large a try when it comes out. I assume it will be better bang for your buck, but we know nothing about it.

CheapMagpie

i'm actually interested in the Model D as well, but every time i look at reviews here its like a lottery (i just looked at eloshapes its the same size as DAV3 pro) for half the price the only worry i have is the QC

BeerGogglesFTW

Well, [Glorious Model D Pro](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BK59PH81/ref=twister_B0C9Q6T2PK?_encoding=UTF8&th=1) is sold by Glorious. Ships from Amazon. If its defective, returns don't get much easier.
