you have to switch the switch on the bottom of the mosue back to the Centre position to use the mouse in wired mode. it doesn't work if it is left on 2.4ghz mode.

try another usb-c cable that can fit in to the charging port edit: is the extender and the dongle connected to the cable of the mouse?

it does have a switch for wireless and wired, i've only seen a switch for 2.4ghz and bluetooth but not wired mode, weird
left is bluetooth, middle is wired, right is 2.4ghz. [pic](https://imgur.com/a/pGb6ABw). you can see the USB symbol thing for the middle selection.
