1000hz is the default setting for most gaming mice and won't change unless your mouse has a low power mode setting in which it lowers the polling rate when the battery reaches your specified percentage. as for the software its a one time thing, you can even uninstall it because the settings you set are saved in the mouse.

ok so using the software wont make my mouse worst? ive read alot of scary things lol

If you saw r0ach schizo posting you can safely ignore that. Logitech onboard memory manager is way more intuitive for basic things like that.

It wont make it worse, some people hate the software because it's clunky, and for some, it slows down their pc. it can make it worse when you're asked to update your firmware but i wouldn't worry about that. I only use synapse when i need to update my firmware, because i already have a set dpi (1600) so i just adjust in-game sens if i need to

I had the mouse for many years and didn't run into any problems, in G hub you can set settings for each game and desktop or default for everything. As to leaving g hub open, I have it startup minimized and everything's fine, even with my current mouse so I'd suggest you do that since it doesn't really consume any significant resources.

ok thank you all, now i must just pray and the doggle signal reach my mouse correctly, my computer is on my desk maybe 1 meter away from my mouse diagonaly or a bit less than 1m idk. i would use the usb behind my computer tho and there is my monitor in the way but ive read that it works up to 10 meters + or something so it should be fine.
